According to , the Marvel Minimates toy reveals that Mikkelsen - who has previously teased that his character is "a man who believes in something els𒆙e than the hero🌞" as opposed to an out-and-out villain - is playing Kaecilius. In the comics, Kaecilius is a disciple of Baron Mordo, who will be played by Chiwetel Ejiofor in the film. The fact that the Minimates will be sold in pairs - Doctor Strange wit🉐h the Ancient One, Kaecilius with Mordo etc - gives further credence to this rumour.
Having convinced myself that Mikkelsen is playing Dormammu, I'd be a little surpri💧sed if this turns out to be true. While this doesn't necessarily rule out the presence of the villain, I'm more intrigued than ever to see 𝔉just how much mythology Scott Derickson & co intend to expose audiences to with Doctor Strange.
