Dead Space 3 for Wii U not in the plan
Visceral Games denies Dead Space 3 port for Nintendo's neꦰxt console
Hopes that Isaac Clarke may be an ambassador for the Wii U are quickly fading as Visceral Games's vice president and general manager Steve Papoutsis has reported the studio is not currently working on a ওport of Dead Space 3 for Nintendo's forthcoming syst♎em.
Today, Papoutsis fielded a Twitter question from one Dead Space fan who asked, “Hello Steve, May ask if DS3 🌜planned for Wii U? It could be fun with asymmetrical gameplay, nope?”.
In response, Papoutsis : “🔥Not currently in th𝐆e plan.”
While not a flat-out denial, Papoutsis answer doesn't bode well for the 𒅌Dead Space franchise on Wii U. It could be Visceral Games is waiting for a better time to make the announcement, but considering E3 2012 came and went without mention of a port, Isaac's chances of slicing limbs for Nintendo appear slim.
Dead Space 3 takes place months after the events of Dead Space 2, and finds Isaac Clarke and Ellie Langford traversing the planet Tau Volantis in search of a final solution to the universe's pesky Necromorph problem. The sequel will add drop-in co-op to the mix, as well as mountain-sized worm monsters through which players will go in one end and (hopefully) come out the other.
