A good chunk of this fight is similar to the first Gℱundyr, but the Champion hits much harder. He uses the sameও sweeping and slashing attacks as before, so dodge backward to avoid these. For his vertical or leaping attacks, roll to the side. Once you’ve avoided his attack, follow up with a few blows of your own.
Once Champion Gundyr has half his health remaining🅰, he’ll change his battle plan – you’ll know when his eyes start glowing red. At this point, he’ll use the same attacks, but he’ll attack relentlessly, rarely leaving himself open. Your best chance to do damage is to dodge around his attacks and chip away at his HP. Fortunately, he doesn’t sprout that awful black tendril this time.
By this point in the game, Iudex Gundyr is a distant memory. Taking down this alternate (perhaps🐷 younger?🦩) version shouldn’t be a problem.
