Crytek launching attack on Crysis 2 cheaters
Series of updates coming to combat unruly players
Cheaters nevꦿer win. That's the theory anyway; except someone forgot to tell that to the cheaters in Crysis 2, who are indeed winning consistently and causing considerable grief for law abiding players in the process. Responding to this, Crytek has ༺pledged to release a series of fixes and tools designed to rid its sequel of nefarious cheaters for good.
"We do take cheatin🐽g very seriously here at Crytek," reads on EA's Crysis 2 forums.
"We are currently taking steps to permanently remove exploits from Crysis 2 and to penalize those individua⛦ls that choose to utilize them. We thank you for your patience and want to ensure you that we will continue to work hard to keep the integrity of Crysis 2 intact an꧙d cheat-free."
Last weekend, Crytek began its anti-cheating crusade with a patch for the PC version that added a cheat detection system and removed the game's auto-aim🍃 feature. Going forward, the studio will be releasing a number of further patches to fix reported exploits and bring the pain to players that circumvent the rules. That's the theory, anyway. As has been proven time and time a🐓gain, cheaters don't die, they just get more creative. And by creative, I mean douchey.
