Blizzard "hoping" to return to StarCraft: Ghost

Blizzard has revealed it hopes to return to its sci-fi stealth-shooter StarCraft: Ghost, which⛄ i⛎t put on indefinite hold back in March 2006.

During this week's Hollywood and Games Summit, Blizzard lead designer Rob Pardo formed part of a p🅠anel dicuss💟ing MMOs which was asked, "when do you pull the plug on a project?"

reports that, citing StarCraft: Ghost as an example in response, Pardo said, "Our most recent one was Starcraft Ghost. With that game we were very stubborn. I still believe in that game and the characters but we were not ab🌃le to e༺xecute at the level we wanted to... Rather than work on that we had to focus on our other games. We're hoping one day to return to it."

StarCraft: Ghost was first announced in 2002 and went through two developers before Blizzard finally decided to put the game on hold last year. It was a spin-off from the developer's RTS series and found female Ghost(stealth operative) Nova undertaking the usual dangerous set of missions in the StarCraft universe.
