While the reaction to Blade Runner 2 has been mixed (at best), few have had many complaints about ꩲthe cast; In addition to the returning Harrison Ford, the sequel🐼 will also star Dave Bautista, Robin Wright, and Ryan Gosling. While promoting The Nice Guys, Gosling took a second to talk about why he's excited to start work on the sequel:

"As a fan of the film, the fact that Ridley 𒅌and Harrison wanted to extend that story and keep going was exciting enough", Gosling told . "And then the idea of getting to be an actor involved in that in some way is really... I kinda can't believe it".

Comparatively, Rutger Hauer - who starred in the 1982 sci-fi classic - is less enthused about another Blade Runner film, although he is curious to see what Ridley Scott and co come up with; "I don’t understand why they’re calling it Blade Runner if they have a new project", Hauer told . "I’m curious what Ridley ⛎[Scott, now the sequel’s producer] will do. The director [Denis Villeneuve] is a very interesting director so...Let’s put it this way – I hope it’s better!". Me too...

Directed by Denis Villeneuve and starring Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright, Dave Bautista, and Harrison ♚Ford, Blade Runner 2 will be released in cinemas on October 6, 2017.
