While those depictions of the Dark Knight have been dark and gritty, Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders - which sees Adam West, Burt Ward, and Julie Newmar reprise their roles from the 1960's Batman TV series - will be anything but, and the first full trailer for the animated film has made itﷺs way online.

Full disclosure; While I have a lot of respect for the 1960's TV show, I've never felt the urge to revisit it like I have with Batman: The Animated Series (which is what I grew up with). With that said, this trailer is tons of fun; From the costume changes to the dialogue - "You fiends, you will rue this day" and "The only roux here is in the gravy!" is particularly great - the film looks to have perfectly captured the spirit of the classic TV series. Given how disappointed many have b꧒een by various Batm🐻an portrayals this year, this feels lik🍸e it cou🦂ld be the perfect time for a bit of throwback fun.
Directed by Rick Morales and starring the voices of Adam West, Burt Ward, and Julie Nཧewmar, Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders will be released on Digital HD on October 11, 2016 before heading to Blu-ray on November 1, 2016.
