<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> //344567.top 2025-05-12T12:17:54Z en <![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> A brand-new PlayStation 5 bundle has appeared on the official Sony online store and select retailers today, packing in the Sony console and 24 months of PS Plus Premium. The best PS5 bundles in the past year have typically come with a digital copy of a hugely popular game, like Astro Bot, but this time, Sony has put the emphasis on a whopping two years' worth of PS Plus instead.

12 months of PS Plus Premium right now is and the disc edition launch PS5 has an MSRP of $429⛄.99. However, this latest bundle is available for , saving you $170 when you factor in the MSRP of the console, and the almost $320 worth of two years of PS Premium. In the UK, this bundle is available for , 🍬but it packs in the Slim model instead, so you're saving a total of £40 as opposed to buying everything separately.

Be👍tter yet, the disc edition Slim model included in the UK version of this set was not caught in the price hike crossfire last month. So if you had any reservations that this bundle wasn't actually worth it, you'll be happy to know that £40 saving would have existed even before Sony confirmed price increases in the UK, as they onl♕y concerned digital PS5s for now.

PS5 (Disc Edition) PS Plus Premium 24 Month Subscription Bundle |
Save $170 - This is the latest PS5 bundle to hit the digital shelves, and packs in £320 worth of 24 months of PlayStation Plus Premium and the launch model PS5, at a sav🥃ဣing of £170.

In the UK, this bundle includes the Slim model instead, which was saved from the recent wave of price hikes, making this saving even more of a bargain.

Price Check:

Sony PlayStation PS Plus bundles aren't new by any means. But the last time I spotted any months' worth of the subscription service bundled in with a Sony console was for the PlayStation 4. So this surprise drop is a sight for sore eyes.

Sure, you could just grab one of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:cheapest PS Plus deals and the disc edition PS5 launch or Slim model separately. However, Sony itself only packages up to a year of PS Plus in one go online. So this bundle is one of the few options you have if you want 24 months' worth of online access, new monthly games, cloud storage, exclusive discounts, cloud streaming, and access to the vast game libraries without paying month-to-month.

While PS Plus Premium may not have Xbox Game Pass's Oblivion Remaster and Clair Obscur Expedition 33 as part of their game libraries right now, you can get Ark: Survival Ascended, Warhammer 40,🅺000:🐠 Boltgun, and the huge hit Balatro as part of May's monthly PS Plus drops. Plus, if you grab this bundle in the UK, the Slim model PS5 comes with 1TB worth of storage, giving you plenty of space to download this month's games and recent releases from Lost Records, to The Blue Prince, which are all part of the service.

If you're about to grab a PS5 for the first time, picking up one of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best PS5 headsets and the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best PS5 controllers can help complete your Sony-gaming setup. Our 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best SSD for PS5 guide is also full of extra storage options if the 1TB of the Slim isn't enough for your gaming needs.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> Last night I stayed up far too late, and it was all thanks to my PS5. For the first time in a long time, I felt I physically couldn't put the DualSense controller down until I had experienced all the time I could with Swann, Kat, Nora, and Autumn in the brand-new game, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage - which just dropped for PS Plus Extra and Premium members this very week.

I've wanted to spend all morning shouting the game's name to anyone who'll listen, but that can be a big ask for those without access to PlayStation Plus. Fortunately for me, right now you can off 12 months of PS Plus Premium, taking the price down to just $99.99. Typically, a full year will cost those of you in the US $119.99, but for a limited time, Sony has dropped the price below the big $100 mark, making it one of the澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询: cheapest PS Plus deals I've come across in 2025.

If you'd prefer to spread the cost of PS Plus out monthly I wouldn't blame you. (That's what I do.) However, at $17.99 a month, that works out to over $215 for a year, so you save more with a yearly subscription regardless - this discount just sweetens the deal. It's only available for a limited time though - so if you want to play Lost Records and a plethora of new and old games alike, I'd rec༺ommend you grab it while you can.

Save $20 - Right now, Sony is giving access to a whole year's worth of PS Plus Premium for just $99.99. Typically, 12 months of the full Plus membership would cost $119.99, but this discount means you can save an additional $20 and still get access to online gaming, monthly free games, free trials, exclusive discounts, and a huge library of classic and modern PlayStation releases.

Buy it if:

✅ Your PS5 is your console of choice
✅ You want access to classic PlayStation games
✅ You want access to online gaming
✅ You want free monthly games

Don't buy it if:

❌ You only play physical games
❌ You want to mainly play PS4 titles
❌ You prefer monthly subscriptions

Should you buy a 12 Month PS Plus subscription?

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage

Just this week, the brand-new Lost Records: Bloom and Rage, created by the same studio behind the original Life is Strange, dropped for PS Plus Premium (and Extra) members. While it was likely I was going to check it out anyway as a big LiS fan, thanks to being a Premium member I had to chance to play the game the day of release, saving myself $39.99 in the process.

With its inclusion, I have managed to play my favorite gaming experience of 2025 so far, and the game isn't even finished yet. Lost Records is split into two halves, named 'tapes', with the first tape available as of me typing this. I'm very much a fan of narrative movie-like games, but Lost Records might have overtaken Life is Strange as my favorite stand-out of the genre. Don't just take my word for it, GamesRadar's own 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Lost Records Bloom and Rage review awarded it 4.5/5. Our reviewer, Rachel Watts, said she was "blown away" by the game, which had "Stephen King, Blair Witch, and Yellowjackets all rolled into one."

You may be thinking, that if Tape 1 is free as a Premium member, I bet they'll charge you for the rest of the game. But no, so long if you grab this deal and become a PS Premium member, or happen to be an Extra member, the finale to the game will be free when it releases this April.

With PS Plus♉ Premium, you don't just get the occasional access to branꩲd-new PS5 games the day they drop. You also get access to online gaming services, free games each month, free trials, exclusive PS Store discounts, cloud storage, cloud streaming, the tips feature, access to the PlayStation game catalog, access to Ubisoft+ Classics, and access to the classics game catalog.

Swann, Autumn, Kat, and Nora chat while sitting on the edge of a wooden fence in Lost Records: Bloom and Rage

There is a huge current caveat with PS Plus Premium right now. If you didn't hear, Sony is "evolving" its Plus Plus service to include 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:only PS5 games. This is a huge downer as there are a ton of great PS4 games currently in the game catalog, like a favorite of mine, Ys IX: Monstrum Nox, which will soon ꦉbe ripped away from the service.

All is not lost however, as the February PS Plus announcement stated that it won't come into effect until January 2026, so there's still plenty of time to play any PS4 games you had your eyes on. Better yet, any previously claimed monthly PS4 games will still be playable through your account too.

Even without the PS4 games, there's still a plꦍethora of games to play, and as a PS Premium member, you get access to them all. Which includes brand-new day-one PS Plus releases like Lost Records: Bloom and Rage. Whether you want to delve into⛦ classic PlayStation games like Toy Story 2 or want to see just why I'm obsessed with Don't Nod's Lost Records right now, having PS Plus Premium will always give you something to play, and honestly, I can't imagine my PS5 without it.

This was down t👍o AU$668 earlier, and while it's not as cheap now, it's still well below RRP. Sony didn't really show up for June's Prime Day event (probably thanks to its Days of Play promotion occurring only weeks before) so it's unlikely we'll see this go for cheaper between now and Black Friday.

Given GTA 5 has sold over🌼 200 million copies, it's probably unlikely you don't already own it. But, in case you don't (or in case you do, but another another platform you don't wanna play i🌳t on) here it is for a tidy AU$24. It has sold very well and is obviously a very good videogame, so it obviously comes highly recommended.

This is the cheapest way we've found to play Armored Core VI on either PS4 or PS5. This is a UK imp🦋ort but keep in mind PS4 and PS5 is not region locked where games are concerned. This PS4 boxed edition will upgrade to the PS5 version too, unless you're pedantic about the platform displayed on the box (and fair enough: collectors might be!) this is a bargain for everyone's favourite game about blowing up massive robots.

Save AU$45.95
Nice price for a JR꧅PG that'll keep you busy for a hundred or so hours, if you're being thorough. It's the second in the Final Fantasy VII Remake saga, and as a result it's probably wise to before you tackle this one. But you can just not take my advice; that's fine t♏oo. Some of us are just in it for the Queen's Blood mini-game after all.

Save AU$65.95This is a whole AU$4 cheaper than it was during the last Prime Day. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is the most critically acclaimed Star Wars game for quite some time, and is the best fix you'll get this side of Star Wars Outlaws. In our 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Star Wars: Jedi Survivor review we gave the sequel 4.5 stars, writing that "Cal's new adventure is a mature, twisting narrative that establishes a new group of heroes and challenges what a mode💫rn Star Wars story can be."

Despite being one of the busiest years for JRPGs in decades, Gra🧔nblue Fantasy: Relink still manages to rival the likes of Persona 3 Reload, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and FF VII Rebirth. Don't be fooled by its relatively cheap RRP: this is a fully-featured fantasy RPG with gorgeously colourful anime stylings. Sure, it's not 100+ ho🥂urs (expect around 10-20) but this fascinating splicing of Monster Hunter with the Tales Of series is worth diving into at this price, which has held pretty steady since close to launch.

Save AU$60.95
This is one of the most visually impressive games on PS5, and there's every chance it'll look evꦛen better on the forthcoming PS5 Pro. While it definitely takes the form of a Ubisoft open world aꦉdventure, it doubles down on some survival elements and is a tonne of fun to explore. For this price you basically can't go wrong.

Big Deal Days hasn't delivered strongly on the 🌱first-party PS5♎ front, but there's a lot of deep cuts that you might be tempted by at dramatically lowered prices. Such as:

Good news for Game Pass enthusiasts: Big Deal Days is offering 15% off most tiers, ranging both Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass, and taking in both Core and Ultimate access. Twelve month access to Ultimate is conspicuously absent (can a deal be too good?) but here'▨s what Amazon is offerꦕing at time of writing:

Microsoft doesn't discount its perennial cash cow very of🌄ten, so this is a good price for a game that'll keep you (or your kids) happy for hundreds of hours. This is a digital code that is sent by Amazon via email, so buying it will let you start straight away. Alternatively, there's a physical version for Xbox, but that's AU$39.95 and, given the predominantly online nature of Minecraft, it's not the kind of game worth owning physically.

Nintendo first-party games are a little thin on the ground this Prime Day, but Super Mario RPG is the ple♎asant exception. In our four star review, Sam cal✃led it a "compact, stealth-focused adventure that punishes anyone trying to go in loud, and it does so in a world that's always a delight to explore."

This critically acclaimed fighter only released eight months ago, so AU$35 is a generous deal. As always it's both gratuitously gory and surprisingly strategic, with our 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:five star review calling it "a sup𒁃erbly presented fighting game with something to offer players of all experience and familiarity with NetherRealm's sprawling MK universe".

| AU$59.95 (save AU$43.95)

This third-person survival horror by the creator of the Dead Space series proved divisive at launch, but for this price it's worth taking a punt on. While 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:our own review criticised its often unforgiving combat, one undeniable strength here is the art de♑sign and atmosphere. This is still a technical showpiece two years on, and for AU$16 you probably can't go wrong.

If you can affo🐈rd a new AU$1,599 gaming monitor in 2024, then you're luckier than us. This Prime Day discount brings the price on this 32 inch UHD affair to well below the AU$1,000 mark, which doesn't exactly make it an impulse buy, but it's a much better story. It's a curved UHD affair with a 165Hz refresh rate, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro (it's also G-Sync compatible) and Quantum HDR 2000.

| AU$599 (save AU$120)

This is a tempting price for a 32-inch QHD workhorse. This Xeneon model boasts an IPS panel, 165Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, AMD FreeSync Premium and an ultra-slim form factor. Our colleagues at PC Gamer thought ♌hi𓆏ghly of this panel in their 2021 , praising its build quality and picture output.

| AU$279 (save AU$70.10)

A nice saving on this impressive, low footprint, low profile optical gaming keyboard, which most importantly looks stunning. This red switch model (there's also a for AU$279) can connect to up to three Bluetooth devices at a time, but there's also 2.5GHz wireless functionality a🐻nd, of course, the option to plug it in. If you want your keyboard to take up minimal space on your desk but maximal room in your heart, well, uh, yeah.

This mechanical slab is a sight to behold and, according to our sibling site , the very b𓆉est gaming keyboard you can get. No small praise! It features lubed switches in both linear and clicky varieties, 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth connectivity, and a lot of RGB. The linked model above is "NX Storm Refined Clicky Switch" model; the alternative is the "NX Snow Refined Linear Switch" model, which is also on sale for the same .

At RRP this slick mechanical keyboꦛard is frightfully expensive, and while this AU$88 discount doesn't make it super affordab🍌le, it'll appeal to anyone who's had their eyes on this model. It has pre-lubed hot swappable switches, with every connectivity option catered for: 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and USB-C wired. Most impressive of all is the two-tone OLED display at the top right of the RGB-bespeckled slab.

Geez louise, gaming keyboards do get pricey, don't they? Even shearing AU$151 off this ultra-thin gaming keyboard doesn't make it cheap, but it sure is better than the RRP. A big 'n' welcome discount on this premium low profile mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX low profile key switchꦆes boasting a 1.2mm actuation. You simply cannot argue with a gaming mouse for under AU$20. This could make a great back-up mouse if ever your main craps the bed, or else. It doesn't offer competitive level DPIs or high-tech sensors, but unless you're an FPS pro you probably won't te🦋ll the difference. This officially licensed PlayStation headset has copped a stunning 76% discoun♈t, making it the most affordable gaming headset we've seen for years (or ever). It's definitely a budget concern even at RRP, but if you just need a reliable headset for casual online multiplayer with mates, or something that you can give to a k🃏id and not stress about, you can't really argue with AU$14.50. While it's PlayStation licensed, it'll work with any device with a 3.5mm jack.

For most of us, spending AU$289 on a gaming headset means two-minute noodle dinners for a few weeks (we recommend ). But while AU$238.39 isn't as big a discount as we were hoping for, it's still well worth it if you value immersive surround sound. ASUS claims it's perfect for FPS games, and it's true spatial awareness matters in that genre, but hone꧑stly, it's a good unit for any game. Even Balatro.

A good discount on this wireless Cloud Alpha, which we praised for its excellent battery life, audio quality and build, but criticised for its substandard mic. That may make it a tad unappealing for multiplayer-focused gamಌers, but for anyone else drawn to HyperX's robust headsets (seriously, they feel indestructible) and high standard audio, it's worth consideration.

If you're an all-digital gamer or will๊ing to abandon physical media, the PS5 Slim digital edition is well worth it at over AU$100 off. Although the PS5 Pro is on the horizon, the base PS5 will still carry you𓄧 well until PS6, so long as you don't mind not having bleeding edge performance (which will cost you AU$1,199, mind you).

Save AU$241.95

This eBay EB Games deal on the PS5 Slim (disc) is still the best going at the moment. This is an eBay Plus offer: grab , then use the coupon code PLUS120 at checkout to seꦐcure this AU$598 deal. Without the subscription it's still a generous price at AU$628.

Save AU$154.85

The eBay de𓂃al above probably won't last long, so the next best thing is this Amazon deal, which brings it marginally lower than the retailer's all-time low of AU$6꧒49. With the PS5 Pro out, it's finally time for the PS5 to receive decent discounts, and this is definitely a great price for a still powerful console.

Save AU$100

If you take advantage of a current eBay Plus promotion offering AU$100 off a bunch of items—including the PS5 Pro—at checkout if you sign up for the subscription, then you're getting what is probably the very first discount on the PS5 Pro in Australia. Sure, it doesn't exactly make this♛ mid-gen refresh affordable, but if you're getting one anyway, this is a great deal. Of course, you've got to remember to cancel your eBay Plus subscription before the trialไ ends (unless you like it and want to keep it).

Sony's brilliant yet exorbitantly priced premium DualSense is a fine piece of kit, and this AU$50 discount makes it ever more tempting. It has replaceable analog sticks, four back "paddle" buttons, changeable stick caps and a bunch of other lavish fea🐓tures that you'll regret not having once you've held one of these in🔯 hand.

You don't hear much about these wireless buds made especially by Sony for PS5, but they exist, and our colleagues over at thought they were good. They're almost perfect for the PlayStation Portal, and can double as your commuting 'phones if you fancy the PওlayStation branding. They feature multi-device connectivity, integrated mics (for both gaming and phone convos) and AI-enhanced "noise rejection".

Wait, is this the PSVR 2 headset at a near affordable price? It's finally happened: If you've been reluctant to fork out nearly a grand for a brilliant-a🍒lbeit-patchily supported peripheral, now is the time to bite. If you've already got a P𓄧S5 in the house, this is probably the best way to game in VR.

PSVR 2 is not for the frugal, but the premium VR unit has seen the most dramatic price drops yet this Black Friday. While you can♎ bജuy a for AU$30 cheaper than this, the Horizon bundle is well worth forking out for if you want one of the best VR tech demos out there (it is also reportedly a good game).

Save AU$40.95

A brilliant discount on this very recently released BioWare RPG, which we didn't expect to🐻 get this cheap so soon. According to our review it's "an approachable, expansive action-oriented RPG," and a "true ꦛend to whatever the franchise was before".

Save AU$45.95

This brilliant action RPG has been very shy of discounts since launch, so while AU$90 is pretty steep as far as PS5 game discounts go, if you've had your eye on Stellar Blade you'll know th🅺is is a good price. It's one of the most visually dazzling PS5 exclusives to date, with a gorgeous K-Pop soundtrack and engrossing combat.

This standalone expansion for the original Spider-Man was a PS5 launch title, but it still looks brilliant, and at this price is well worth a look. If you're after the Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition—which packs in the whole original Spider-Man game —that's ꩵcurrently going for , though at the tim🌳e of writing stock is low.

Save AU$34.30

The﷽ first major discount on this 2024 PS5 gem, which will almost certainly go down as the platform's best exclusive of the year. It's a big cheerful platformer with an astonishing amount of 🧸ideas. If you're a fan of PlayStation history, it's pretty much a must-own, and the same holds true if you love 3D platformers.

Save AU$67.55

A bonanza discount on this highly regarded horror remake, which was met with unanimous praise when it released in 2022 (though presumably not enough sales for EA to quickly issue a Dead Space 2 remake). This discount requires the coupon code BLKFR at ♑checkout, otherwise it's a still-decent AU$28.

Only Sony would publish a blockbuster roguelike, and no one can argue they made the wrong decision (at least, creatively): this is an 🌳utterly brilliant and more-ish third-person shooter with a rich sci-fi horror atmosphere. At this price, those who have ignored it because of the word "roguelike" might finally find the courage to give it a go.

Save AU$40.95

Consider🔯ing this remake only released a matter of weeks ago, this 41% discount is very generous indeed. It's a brilliant and innovative platformer with a lot of old school Disney charm, and it's the ki﷽nd of game that makes an easy Christmas gift for PS5 owners young and old.

Dragon's Dogma 2 is arguably the best blockbuster RPG of the year (though Veilguard's right there). Capcom's fantasy lark has been available for well below RRP for months now, but this AU$59 price is a new low, down from the previous record of AU$69. Keep in mind that this deal is for the Lenticular Edition which is better than the standard edition, even though that's selling for more at the moment. Amazon, make it make sens🔴e.

AU$45.95

Sav𓃲e 48% on this PS5 tech showcase that also happens to be a pretty fun over world adventure. It doesn't reinvent the wheel after the success of its PS4 predecessor, Horizon Zero Dawn, but as our review notes it has "super awesome robot dinosaurs", so there's that.

It may be a remake of a PS2 game, but Persona 3 stands up immaculately in th🦩e modern day, proving that Atlus' social RPGs have been brilliant even before Persona 5's western mainstream b📖reakthrough. This is a gorgeous and stylish reimagining of the 2006 original, with all the mandatory quality-of-life improvements and more than 80 hours of game to sink your teeth into.

The price may seem steep at a glance, but this UK import of Elden Ring includes the critically acclaimed Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, which easily adds at least fifteen hours to the base game. And what to say about Elden Ring at this point? It's probably൲ the very best RPG of this console generation, especially if the chatty Baldur's Gate 3 is too, well, chatty fo🌠r you.

It's not uncommon for 2K's NBA series to drop dramatically in price justꦓ months after rele🍒ase, and the most recent instalment isn't breaking the trend. Nice price f🦋or a JRPG that'll keep you busy for a hundred or so hours, if yo🅘u're being thorough. It's the second in the Final Fantasy VII Remake saga, and as a result it's probably wise to before you tackle this one. But you can just not take my advice; that's fine too. What to expect from Black Friday PS5 deals in 2024

PS5 accessories on a table, including two DualSense controllers, a charging station and a headset

We'll start with the big one. The new mid-cycle refresh will hit the shelves on November 7 (澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:PS5 Pro pre-orders went live on September 26) just over three weeks before Black Friday PS5 deals officially kick off. I'll get this out the way now, I'm not expecting any discounts on that AU$1,999.95 launch price in this year's sale. That's not the end of the story, though. After all, AU$1,999.95 is an astonishingly high RRP - Sony could well look to sweeten the deal over the holidays with free games and accessories for a limited♉ time. If you're interested in picking up the PS5 Pro this year, I'd recommend getting in ahead of time. While the world's in a very different place to when the original console launched, we still don't know how available the refresh will be. Plus, Sony may well soften its heavy RRP at launch with its own release day bundles well before Cyber Monday.

The standard console should benefit from its own discounts, though. The PS5 has enjoﷺyed some fantastic sales during 2024, dropping the AU$799 console down to AU$668 over the course of a cou☂ple of weeks in June, and again in early October.

Days Gone's Deacon in Astro Bot

One thing's for certain, PS5 games are going to see their own discounts. Dead Island 2, Street Fighter 6, Resident Evil 4, Dead Space Remake, Assassins' Creed: Mirage, and Hogwarts Legacy were all 2023 releases seeing record low prices over Black Friday last year so it's reasonab𓆏le to assume this year's titles will get the same treatment. Astro Bot and Dragon Age: Veilguard might be a little tricky to find on sale, but Star Wars Outlaws is a recent release that's primed for savings come November if current figures are to be believed. However, I'm looking to The Last Of Us Part 2 Remastered, Skull and Bones, Street Fighter 6, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Tekken 8✤, Helldivers 2, and Rise of the Ronin to offer up the best value discounts overall.

The majority of these titles hit the shelves in the first half of the year, so it's well worth keeping an eye on the release slate for 2024 to see where your savings might go this Fall. Howeveﷺr, we can also expect the usual suspects to turn up; God of War: Ragnarok, Horizon Forbidden West, Spider-Man Miles Morales, and Sackboy: A Big Adventure are all ma🅷instays of Black Friday PS5 deals these days.

In addition to the games, there are usually some discounts on peripherals. The official 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Pulse 3D headset had a brand-new low🌌est-ever price of just under AU$98 last year, and loads of third-party peripherals saw some massiv🧸e cuts.

When will Black Friday PS5 deals begin in Australia?

Should you buy a PS5 Pro on Black Friday?

That AU$1,199.95 launch price is certainly intimidating, and I'm not expecting to see any discounts on that full cost in November. However, if you are in the market for an upgrade, Black Friday might be the time to take the leap. While we might not see straight discounts, I'm expect❀ing a couple of bundles to pop up during the holiday sales. As we saw with last year's Spider-Man 2 package these offers don't last.

Once Sony's official bundles have run their course they're unlikely to be seen again until the next major sale (likely Black Friday 2025), so if you want the best value this year I'd recommend waiting for Novemb🎉er.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> I'd say now is an ideal time to invest in the best 4K monitor for gaming. Not only is the new Switch 2 about to jump on the UHD bandwagon, but more gaming PCs than ever can handle higher resolutions. Simply put, there's more reason now to buy a sharper screen than ever, and I've tested plenty of panels th𒉰at are perfect for consoles, rigs, and even handhelds.

The Dough Spectrum Black 32 is the best 4K monitor for gaming I've tested in 2025. It pairs a super vibrant OLED panel with a glossy gorilla glass coating to provide vivid results that pop across all genres﷽. The screen really impressed me when playing everything from dense RPGs like Baldur's Gate 2 to competitive shooters, and the latter benefits from a dual resolution mode that lets you dial things back to 1080p for a speed boost.

Just like my overall 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best gaming monitor picks, I'm constantly looking at new UHD displays as and when they arrive on the scene. So, you'll want to keep tabs on my best 4K monitor for gaming choices as the months unfold, as 2025 looks to be a huge year for higher-resolution displays. I've got models that'll suit a variety of budgets and setups𒁃 to share, so you shouldn't have any trouble thinking the right screen.

The Quick List

April 22, 2025 - The Dough Spectrum Black 32 now sits as my best overall 4K screen, replacing the older BenQ Mobiuz EX3210U. It earns the top spot largely thanks to its glossy Gorilla Glass display since that helps UHD visuals pop harder than on similar OLED panels. I've also swapped out the Sony Inzone M9 for the new Mobiuz EX321UX as it pairs excellent mini LED brightness with performance and features that'll serve PS5 and Xbox Series X players nicely.

澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:1. Dough Spectrum Black 32

The best 4K gaming monitor

Screen size: 32-inch | Screen type: OLED | Resolution: 3840 x 2160 (1920 X 1080 dual mode) | Brightness: 600 nits | Refresh Rate: 240Hz (480Hz dual mode) | Response Time: 0.03ms | Viewing angles: 178° / 178° | Contrast ratio: 5,000,000:1 | Ports: 2x HDMI 2.1, 1x DisplayPort, headphone jack

Great dual resolution abilities
Fantastic colors and contrast
Enhanced visuals via glossy Gorilla Glass
Competitive price
Firmware needs some extra work
HDR issues

The Dough Spectrum Black 32 pairs LG's superb WOLED panel with a glossy Gorilla Glass coating to create a superb 4K monitor for gaming. While there's a few quirks that keep it for perfection, the extra contrast and sharpness this screen provides puts in aheaﷺd when it comes to raw UHD🦂 fidelity.

Buy it if:

✅ You want top tier 4K performance: The Spectrum Black goes the extra mile to deliver UHD visuals using its unique Gorilla Glass coating to add extra depth and🅰 co🍨ntrast.

✅ You need a fast refresh rate: This display's dual resolution mod🍬e will cater to high speed 4K gaming and even faster 1080p visuals using its 480Hz dual resolution mode.

✅ You care about looks: Unlike traditional gaming screens, the Spectrum Black 32 boasts a 🍎level of elegance that matches Apple's Studio display.

Don't buy it if:

❌ You want zero reflections: Using a gloss🧸y screen does come with in♕creased risk of glare, and while this display bats away reflections, they'll still show up in some environments.

❌ You're not fussed about OLED: If you're not that nerdy about co﷽lors or contrast, there are cheaper screens for you ꦅout there.

Design: Dough🌱 has clearly read Apple's design book a few times, as the Spectrum Black 32 feels very much like a Studio rival. It is worth noting that it doesn't come with a pedestal stand by default, but if you do pick one up, you'll end up with an elegant display that doesn't remotely look like a traditional gaming monitor. Plus, it's pretty solid too since it uses a mostly metal chassis rather than the usual array of plastics.

If you're fussy about p𓂃ort placement, you might be pleased to hear the Spectrum Black 32 features outward facing connectors. Some of you might like it when screen makers hide connections under a lip, but Dough's approach will help you channel cables through either the optional pedestal or a monitor arm and away from the surface of yo🌳ur desk.

Features: The main draw with the Black 32 is naturally its Gorilla Glass coating, as it's what the company is best known for at this point. Dough's glossy approach helps boost its already ultra vibrant WOLED display and add an extra 🍬layer of depth to textures and text, and it's really what helps this 4K monitor rank as one of the top UHD gaming screens. It does come with some reflection caveats that'll matter if you sit next to a bright window, but the display does an admirable job of batting away glare in more scenarios.

Just like its 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:LG UltraGear 32GS95UE-B relative, the Spectrum Black 32's other standout feature is its dual resolution mode. By opting for this 4K display, you're te🃏chnically also getting a high refresh rate 1080p panel that can ramp things up to 480Hz. That's going to be invaluable if you're serious about competitive shootౠers and fully harnessing frame rates, and even the screen's 4K 240Hz default is plenty fast for UHD PC and console gaming.

Performance: Using the Dough Spectrum Black 32, I played a roster of games that helped show off its glossy 4K OLED display and put its dual resolution abilities to the test. In the likes of Dragonꦺ Age: The Veilguard, this panel provides an extra pop to ultra detailed textures that you're not going to get on a matte screen, with tiny details being highlighted by elevated contrast.

On the flip side, the Spectrum Black 32's dual resolution abilities make for a fantastic way to instantly dive into competitive shooters. In Overwatch 2, Dough's screen manages to look incredible even at 1080p thanks to that WOLED panel, and 480Hz feels ridiculously smooth when paired with a GPU that can keep up. Marvel Rivals also benefits from the superior colors of this panel while managing to take speeds up a notch♍ compared to most displays out🐈 there.

Verdict: I wouldn't call the Dough Spectrum Black 32 the perfect panel, but🎃 it's certainly the best looking 4K monitor for gaming out there at the moment. If the company can tighten its firmware with updates and prevent HDR from falling short as a result, we could be looking at panel that goes unrivalled thanks to its Gorilla Glass ꦯcoating.

澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:2. Corsair Xeneon 32UHD144

The best 4K monitor for most players

Screen size: 32-inch | Screen type: IPS | Resolution: 3840 x 2160 | Brightness: 400 nits | Refresh Rate: 144Hz | Response Time: 1ms | Viewing angles: 178° / 178° | Contrast ratio: 1000:1 | Ports: DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, USB-C with 15W PD

Sharp UHD visuals
Zippy IPS response
Great connectivity including HDMI 2.1
Not a true HDR panel
USB-C charging is limited
This class of panel really should be cheaper

If you're looking for a UHD display with impressive 4K specs, the Corsair Xeneon 32U﷽HD144 is likely the first panel you'll come across. It's an excellent option for PC players looking to give their fancy GPUs a workout, but it'll ultimately make short work of any 4K content you can throw at it.

Buy it if:

✅ You need a speedy UHD display: With a 1ms response time and 144Hz refresh rate, you won't need to worry about laggy 4K performan൩ce.

✅ You'd rather avoid OLED: Those of you who don't like even the notion of screen burn will appreciate this 𝐆IPS panel, as it's less likely to suffer from those symptoms.

✅ You've got a PS5: This screen has HDMI 2.1, so it's kitted out to serve up 4K 120Hz visuals on consoles 💎like the Pla♍yStation 5.

Don't buy it if:

❌ You'd happily use 60Hz: You don't have to opt for faster refresh rates, and you'll save money by looking iꦿnto something traditional.

❌You'd rather invest in OLED: You're going to pay significantly more for an OLED display, but doing so will provide s⭕uperior contrast and colors.

Design: Corsair's choice of stand is what helps the Xeneon 32UHD144 not just resemble a black rectangle, featuring an angled frame for fr🐓ont support. That might not be to everyone's tastes, especially if you like to place add-ons like soundbars underneath ൲your screen. Nevertheless, it does provide this panel with a bit of character, especially since the rear sticks with a sensible input hump that's free of RGB lighting or fancy shells.

Features: Positioned as yet another 4K 144Hz screen, the Corsair Xeneon 32UHD144 has a few superpowers on its side. For 🐻instance, it boasts HDMI 2.1 connectivity and a responsive IPS panel, but its HDR abilities are somewhat lacking due to its 6 edge-lit local dimming zone limitations. However, it makes up for that with commendable brightness, measuring in at 600 nits when High Dynamic Range is active.

Performance: In FPS outings like Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K, the Xeneon 32UHD144 throws some serious moves. We weren't really expꦐecting anything less from a PC peripheral maker, as the company caters to high-spec ex🌼periences. However, those 144Hz 1ms abilities do shine through where it matters, resulting in slick visuals that won't feel remotely sluggish when paired with a decent GPU.

Verdict: Provided you can grab one for a nice price, Xeneon 32UHD144 is ♎the monitor most 4K players are going to opt for. While it sets a bar for many UHD screens to reach, we'll hopefully see some of those rivals follow in its footsteps and rise to the challenge with better specs and a cheaper price tag.

The best value 4K monitor for gaming

Screen size: 32-inch | Screen type: IPS | Resolution: 3840 x 2160 | Brightness: 400 nits | Refresh Rate: 144Hz | Response Time: 1ms | Viewing angles: 178° / 178° | Contrast ratio: 1000:1 | Ports: 2x HDMI 2.1, 1x Display🍷Port, 4x USB 3.0, 2x USB-C, headphone j𒉰ack

Great contrast and colors
Speedy and responsive
Built-in Steam Deck dock
Pricey
Doesn't come with a stand
OSD controls fall short

The Dough spectrum One brings♊ more than just great UHD visuals to the fold, as its Gorilla Glass screen hel𝐆ps what would be an ordinary IPS screen pull off exceptional colors and contrast.

Buy it if:

✅ You want something different: The glossy Gorilla Glass v♕ersion of the 🎀Spectrum One will give your visuals an extra boost, especially compared to ordinary matte models.

✅ You have multiple systems: You𝓰'll be able to take advantage of this monitor's multitude of ports and KVM switching abilities.

✅ You care about speed: In terms of response rate, this 1ms panel is going to live up to your pᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚerformance expectations in fast-pa🌳ced games.

Don't buy it if:

❌ You want to avoid reflections: The version we're recommending here uses a glossy scree💦n, and it will be more reflective than൩ typical UHD panels.

❌You'd upspend on the OLED model: The Spectrum Black will provide similar specs to this model using an OLED screen, and that might appeal tꦓ⛄o some premium players.

Design: The Spectrum One is one of the classiest-looking mon𒆙itors out there. Its bezels are as slight as things get, and it's not got too much junk in the trunk for n IPS display. Its stand is also a nice piece of brushed a🦩luminum, but keep in mind it's an optional extra you'll have to fork out for.

Features: Also available in matte and glossy flavours, it's the Gorilla Glass Dough Spectrum One model that has won the top spot on our 4K monitors list. ไNaturally, not everyone is going to dig the idea of a reflective display, and it might not mesh with some setups depending on your lighting situation. However, when the environment is right, this monitor takes to the stage with popping detail and surprisingly vibrant colors.

In addition to its unique screen, the Dough Spectrum One also has a built-in 100W USB-C docking sta🐟tion, meaning you can hook up the best gaming handheld or a laptop with a single cable. That's bound to appeal to those of you with a Steam Deck, but it's also handy if you've got a separate g꧙aming PC and work machine.

Performance: We tested the Spectrum One using our usual suite of demanding ♊PC games, and Cyberpunk 2077's gritty Night City was a treat on this speedy 144Hz screen. The monitor also proved pretty responsive in competitive shooters like Halo Infinite, and that you can feel its 1ms response rate in conjunction with its respectable refresh rate.

Verdict: There are cheaper 4K moni༒tors out there with similar s꧒pecs, but if you like the idea of switching to a similar type of display to your smartphone, you'll want to consider the Dough Spectrum One. Just keep in mind the optional stand will set you back an additional $100, meaning this screen isn't the most budget-friendly option around.

Dough (formerly Eve) has been criticized by early adopters for not fulfilling early orders and maintaining poor customer service. Since then, the company has entered into a partnership with B&H Photo, meaning you’ll have the option of dealing with the third-party retailer instead of the company directly. However, it’s still worth keeping Dough’s trading history in mind and taking it into consideration before clicking buy.

澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:4. BenQ Mobiuz EX321UX

The best 4K monitor for PS5 and Xbox Series X

Screen size: 32-inch | Screen type: Mini LED | Resolution: 3,840 x 2,160 | Brightness: 700 nits | Refresh Rate: 144Hz | Response time: 1ms | Viewing angles : 170° /178° | Contrast ratio: 1,000:1 | Ports: DisplayPort 1.4 x1, HDMI 2.1 x2, USB hub

Exceptionally bright
Decent colors
Admirable HDR
Lots of ports
KVM USB-C hub
Included remote
Some local dimming issues
No built-in speakers this time
Bulky

The BenQ Mobiuz EX321UX stands out in 2025 as an excellent 🅺screen for consoles, and while mini LED panels can't quite keep up with OLED, you're getting more features that'll benefit PS5 and Xbox Series X setups with this 4K screen than many other premium models.

Buy it if:

✅ You want a PS5 monitor: It design ties in wi📖th the PlayStation 5's getup and has specs that feel well suited to the console

✅ You want a high spec 4K screen: Armed with 4K 144Hz capabilities, this di﷽splay is up༒ there with the best UHD contenders.

✅ You want something different: The Mobiuz EX321UX is definitely a convers﷽ation starter design-wise, and it'll turn hea🌌ds no matter where you take it.

Don't buy it if:

❌ You don't need lofty specs: Arguably, the PS5 doesn't even always make full use of its m🥂ax potential, so a cheaper sc♔reen may provide a more balanced experience.

❌You need something more subtle: The Mobiuz EX321UX isn't going to blend 🎐into your living room, so keep that in mind if you've got a sneaky setup over in the corner.

Design: BenQ knows exactly who it's trying to appeal to with the 32-inch Mobiuz EX321UX, as it almost looks like it could be a 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Sony Inzone M9 successor. It white, NASA-punk shell and tripod pedestal stand are going to pair pretty nicely with the PS5 from a visual standpoint, but it's also going to look great at gaming desks🧸 alongside a gaming PC.

The design is futuristically flamboyant to say the least, and I fully respect decisions like having the back ports face outwards since it'll make swapping out 🦩consoles far easier. However, there is a distinct lack of cable management solutions built-in to this display, so if you like to steer wires in a particular direction, you'll have to use your own methods rather than something integrated into the stand.

Features: The EX321UX makes sure to include a bunch of features many models tend to skip out on, and they all tie in with 4K console gaming nicely. For starters, you're getting a bunch of connections with this display, including two HDMI 2.1 ports (one of which supports eARC), DisplayPort 1.4, and a USB-C hub with 65W Type-C connectivity. That means you'll be able to hook up a 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:gaming handheld alongside your console using a single cable, but you won't have 🔯KVM access to an additional peripherals hooked up to the display.

This Mobiuz display also comes with a pretty comprehensive OSD that packs iHDR abilities and various other options into an easy to navigate package. To sweeten the deal, BenQ also includes a remote control that'll let you swap between profiles and tweak settings just like you would with a 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:gaming TV, which helps the꧃ screen feel like an even better fit for PS5 and Xbox Series X.

Performance: 144Hz is no longer the limit for 4K displays, but it is plenty for console gaming. I found that the Mobiuz EX321UX helped the PS5's 120Hz abilities feel pretty slick in shooters like Overwatch 2, while being able to use the full 144Hz made the PC version feel that bit snappier. There is a noticeable difference when it to comparative 240Hz panels, but you'll only feel it if you're using a high spec rig tha🌳t can match that speed with an appropriate frame rate.

If you're looking for something brighter, mini LED is normally the wa𓂃y to go. The Mobiuz EX321UX does feature some of the usual caveats, like less vibrancy compared to OLED and halo-effects caused by local dimming. But, that same setup excels when it comes to HDR, with BenQ's screen producing phenomenal results in ultra detailed RPGs like Cyberpunk 2077. Since console gaming normally means diving into the latest and greatest adventures, I'd say the trade-offs tied to this screen are easy to overlook when it means gaining better ඣHigh Dynamic Range.

Verdict: I do have a few gripes with the Mobiuz EX321UX. It doesn't come with built-in speakers like its predecessor and I do feel like it could have hit 24🅷0Hz for the price. That said, BenQ's display is still one of the top console options in 2025 in my book, checking all the boxes you'll need to have a phen෴omenal 4K PS5 and Xbox Series X experience.

The best big screen 4K gaming monitor

Screen size: 43-inch | Screen type: OLED | Resolution: 3840 x 2160 | Brightness: 450 nits | Refresh rate: 138Hz | Response time: 1ms | Viewing angle: 178° / 178° | Contrast ratio: 1,500,000:1 | Ports: 2 x HDMI 2.1, 1 x DisplayPort 1.4, USB-C (90w Power Del𒆙ivery), USB hub, 3.5mm audio out

Fantastic contrast and colors
Immersive Ambiglow lighting
Versatile size
Not the brightest OLED around

Out of all the larger displays we've tested, the Philips Evnia 42M2N8900𝔉 shines the brightest. That's largely thanks to its exceptional 42-inch OLED panel, but it's also got plenty of features up its sleeve that stand out🏅, including an immersive Ambiglow lighting system.

Buy it if:

✅ You want a huge monitor: This scre🦹en is bigger than many bedroom TVs out there, meaning it'll work well as both a desktop display and a console screen.

✅ You appreciate RGB: Philips Ambiglow tech gives this screen some ex💧tra spice, especially when it comes to extra immersion.

✅ You want faster than 120Hz: It's not the fastest screen in the west, butꦜ clocking in at 138Hz, it'll provide gaming PCs with a bit extra headroom.

Don't buy it if:

❌ You'd prefer a faster refresh rate: You'll typically find screens that are 144Hz or faster for the same price, so if you prioritise𓄧 shooters on PC, you might want to browse around.

❌ You'd rather buy a TV: It might sound obvious, but if you're looking for a big PS5 screen, you'd perhaps be better off investing in a TV ra🌃ther than a monitor.

Design: Not all monitors look the part, but the Evnia 42M2N8900 is arguably one that'll blend in nicely to any room. It features an all white aesthetic, which just so happens to look dashing next to a PS5, and it's V-shaped stand is wide enough to accommodate accessories like a soundbar. It's a little chonkier than you m🔯ight expect for an OLED at the back, but that's to be expecte🍨d given it wields a bunch of RGB lights and built-in speakers.

Features: The Evnia 42M2N8900 is, first and foremost, an OLED monitor, with that 42-inch 4K screen serving as its biggest selling point. However, it's perks like its USB-C hub (completely with 90W Power Delivery) and accommodating array of ports that make it worth sticking with long-term. Of course, it also has some stylish moves to accompany its substance, as you'll find an immersive rig of Ambiglow RGB lights round th🌼e back, designed to provide an immersive lightshow that syncs up with your visuals.

Performance: When handling both PC and console games, the Evnia 42M2N8900 excels in the color and contrast department. Naturally, that can be attributed to its OLED panel, and Philips clearly knows how to make good use of the tech, with outings like Spyro Reignited Trilogy providing a vibrant punch on this display. Shooters like Halo Infinite and Overwatch 2 also feel snappy regardless of platform, with the monitor's 138Hz refresh rate providing speedy visuals alongside a 1ms response rate.

Verdict: Ultimately, the Philips Evnia 42M2N8900 is an investment, and it caters to those looking for more than basic 4K visuals. That said, if you're looking for something that bit bigger that'll bring out the best in your ri🐈g or conso🏅le, this specific screen is well worth a look.

The best premium 4K gaming monitor

Screen size: 32-inch | Screen type: IPS | Resolution: 3840 x 2160 | Brightness: 600 nits | Refresh rate: 144Hz | Response time: 1ms | Viewing angles: 178° / 178° | Contrast ratio: 1000:1 | Ports: 2x HDMI 2.1, 1x DisplayPort, 1x USB type C, 4x USB 3.2, 3.𒐪5mm audio out

Top-of-the-line specs everywhere
Incredibly bright
Glorious 4K 144Hz mini-LED panel
Lots of ports
Bulky stand and overall size
Difficult to nail down the perfect HDR and brightness settings
An impossible-to-ignore price tag

Compared to most monitors, the AOC AGON PRO PD32M offers a premium punch and plenty of lavish features. The fact it wears Porsche branding is enough to make that obvious, but its specs also help hammer home its high-spec capabilities and perform𒁃ance prowess.

Buy it if:

✅ You want fancy features: If you're into the idea of embracing a ♌Porsche-endorsed panel with luxurious specs, this might be th𓆉e screen for you.

✅ You need 4K 144Hz: This premium panel offers up top-of-the-line specs, so you won't be left longing for better 💃P☂C performance.

✅ You like RGB lighting: The AGON PRO PD32M goes the extra mile when it comes to back illumination, and that might satiate those of you who l🔜ike putting on a lightshow.

Don't buy it if:

❌ You'd rather opt for cheaper: The🦩re are more affordable options out there for player💟s seeking great 4K performance.

❌You want even faster: 4K 240Hz is swiftly becom🥃ing a standard, and there are premium options out there that'll hit that bar.

Design: The AGON PRO PD32M is an absolute chonk, so you'll need a fair bit of desk space - though it is flat so doesn't hog up too much room with its stand. That said, the design is very cool and oozes that Porsche Design chic-ness to make a great-looking bit of kit. The RGB lighting on the sides is one of a few downsides as it's not necessary for a screen where the panel does all the talking, and it can be tricky to optimize the screen fo🔜r your use or different games as it is so bright and colorful.

Features: Admittedly, 4K 144Hz monitors are swiftly becoming a UHD standard, but the AGON PRO PD32M leads the charge in terms of premium picks. Specifically, you're getting a 32-inch mini LED panel with 600 nits brightness and DisplayHDR 1400 capabilities. As a cherry on top, you'll also benefit from plenty of ports and a nifty set of integrated speakers, making it a nice option for console setups without separate 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:sound systems.

Performance: When it comes to pulling performance punches, brightness is absolutely one of the AGON PRO PD32M's strengths. The mini LED panel easily lives up to its HDR1400 expectations too, with the result being vivid visuals across your Steam and console library. Detailed adventures like Control are also going to pop on this UHD display, especiaꦺlly if you use a high-spec GPU to deliver high-res textures.

Verdict: The price tag is hard to ignore as it's just a lot of money, however, when you factor in literally all of the specs, features, and perfo𝓡rmance, it's not as ridiculous an investment as one might think. And it really could be all𒅌 the gaming monitor you ever need.

Best 4K monitor for gaming: FAQs

Philips Evnia 42M2N8900 with Halo Infinite multiplayer on screen

(Image credit: Future / Phil Hayton)

We've had experience with the best 4K monitor🍷s for gaming for many years and like to think that we know a thing or two when it comes to making the best of UHD displays. With that in mind, we've taken it upon ourselves to use our expertise to help you make an informed decision on whether the best 4K gaming monitors are right for you.

What actually is 4K

4K is another way of describing 3840 x 2160, with the name referring to the fact it features almost 4.000 pixels horizontally. You'll also see the same resolution standard described as UHD, ❀🥀short for 'Ultra high definition'.

Is 4K 144Hz worth it for gaming?

๊When gaming at 4K 144Hz, you'll experience more responsive visuals than at a traditional 60Hz refresh rate. In fact, you'll find that both your PS5 and PC will benefit from using at least 120Hz, so picking up a slightly faster display will futureproof your setup. Now that 240Hz UHD screens are leading the charge, you should find that 144Hz models are generally more affordable than a few years ago.

What size of 4K monitor should I get?

Thanks to the increased pixel density of 4K monitors, y💟ou'll be able to use screens up to and beyond 32-inches. That's largely due to the fact you're less likely to see any blurry textures or edges when using higher resolutions compared to 1440p or 1080p, which tend to look better on smaller screens at a reasonable distance away.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> The sudden release of a remas𝔍tered edition of Quake 2 had been rumored for some time, but the final product ha🥃s delivered a range of enhancements and options that go well beyond what we've come to expect from other retro rereleases.

The remastered edition of Quake 2 launched on pretty much every modern platform, with crossplay across all of them. The game supports each platform's peak graphical capabilities, all th🧸e way up to PS5 and Xbox Series X's oft-forgotten 4K 120FPS modes. It even supports mouse and keyboard on consoles, so you can get the authentic original experience without a gaming PC.

New graphical effects🦋 are fairly modest - there are improved lighting effects and updated models - but there have been some notable upgrades to the underlying game logic. This version of Quake 2 now has a 40hz tickrate, up from the 10hz of the original. In short, that means the game is now checking for and reacting to your inputs four times more often, which should make high-level play feel dramatically more responsive. There ar💦e also AI upgrades to make enemies a little more dangerous with improved pathing and new attacks.

This package also features💫 pretty much every bit of Quake 2 content you could ask for, from the original expansions to all the levels from Quake 2 for the N64. The developers pulled the levels from what's technically an entirely different game on N64 and ported them back into proper Quake 2. On top of that, modern Wolfenstein dev MachineGame🎃s has created a brand-new expansion called Call of the Machine for this release.

That's the above, but here's the beyond: the developers at id and Nightdive have also released the entire source code for this remaster for public access on , which means modders are going to have a leg up in both making general-purpose mods and keeping the game in shape for modern hardware as technology p💞rogresses, even if the official r🥀ights-holders aren't building further remasters. The original Quake 2 source has been out for many years - releasing source code was once an id Software tradition - but offering open access to the work done on the remaster is still worth celebrating.

But the most important part is this: the Quake 2 remaster also comes with the unalte꧋red original version of the game, so you can see it just as it was back in 1997 without any modern conveniences. That's essential for preservation of both the game itself and its classic mod scene, but there's 🌄an added consumer-friendly benefit, too, since you get a free upgrade to the remaster if you already own the original game on a digital PC storefront.

It's tough not to compare this package with the recently announced release of Red Dead Redemption on PS4 and Switch, which has left fans disappo꧙inted with the prospect of paying $50 for a lightly-updated conver🎐sion of what is, admittedly, still a genre-defining classic. Meanwhile, Quake 2 - another genre-defining classicꦐ - has managed an absolute love-letter of an upgrade that pays tribute to every part of the game's legacy, and it only costs $10. Maybe it's unfair to expect that level of care in every future classic game remaster, but I know I certainly want it.

It's always a good time to revisit the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best classic PC games.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> Larian says it's working on Baldur's Gate 3 patch 1, but that it won't be revealing the game's🐭 roadmap.

In a community , the studio sai𒁏d that it has "a roadmap for hotfixes and patches," thanking players and developers for their work in finding and fixing bugs and other issues. Larian goes on, however, to say that it won't be publishing a roadmap for any of those fixes or patches "because we need the freedom to push and pull things around when the unforeseen happens without locking ourselves in."

In a game this size, and with this many moving parts, that's fair enough. Larian does, however, say that 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Baldur's Gate 3's first major patch is currently being worked towards, and that it "will feature a gigantic list of tweaks and changes." I'm excited to see what that actually entails💜 - I imagine Larian has plenty of tricks up its sleeve for post-launch suppo✱rt, but what will make it to the live version first?

Up until now, we've only had a couple of Baldur's Gate hotfixes, which have addressed some of the game's most notable issues. Those include everything from a massive suite of bug fixes to a clipping issue that🔯 allowed certain genitals to be visible through clothes. Embarassing.

All of the fix🐟es that have already been made🧸 will carry over to Baldur's Gate 3 on PS5. That's great news for console fans, as the PC version already runs pretty well, and if the performance matches up on PlayStation, the PS5 version might be even better than the PC version wa🤡s at launc🤡h.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Baldur's Gate 3 on PS5 will arrive with all of the sam🃏e fixes as the PC version, de♑veloper Larian Studios has confirmed.

The sequel has had a triumphant launch so far, with both critics and players praising, well, just about everything about it. 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:It's also smashing records onౠ Steam for concurrent players and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:topping the l꧋ist of best-selling 𓆉PS5 pre-orders. By all accounts Baldur's Gate 3 is a roaring success, but any game of its massive scope will inevitably launch with a few bugs, and even thꩵough this one's relatively clean, a couple of hotfixes have already been deployed to fix various issues.

Over on Twitter, Larian director of publishing Michael Douse confirmed that the PS5 version will release with all of the same post-launch odds and ends as the PC version. "A🌃ll of the improvements and fixes to the game will be reflected in the PlayStation 5 version and beyond," in reply to a concerne🃏d player. "And beyond" seemingly refers to its eventual release on Xbox, but a release date hasn't been revealed just yet.

This is no surprise, of course. Generally a newer port of any game will benefit from identified and resolved issues from the earlier released version, although that isn't always the case. Either way, it's good to know Baldur's Gate 3 players on PS5 won't have to deal with pe♕nises being so big they cli🎃p right through their pants and scare the pajamas off other players.

Baldur's Gate 3 is undeniably the game of 😼the moment, and it even surpassed Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom as the best-reviewed g♏ame of 20𒀰23. Over on Steam, it currently ꦺ♔accounts for over 25% of users' total daily playtime in the US. On𝓀ce it launches on PS5 on September 6, it will truly be unstopp𒐪able.

Here's why Baldur's Gate 3 characters are capped at level 12.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> Many Red Dead Redemption fans feel let꧒ down by Rockstar following the announcemꦐent that the open-world epic will be getting a re-release, but only on Nintendo Switch and PS4.

After months of speculation, on August 7 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Rockstar announced that a "conversion" (note: not a remake or remaster) of Red Dead Redemption was on the way, but that instead of being released for 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Series X/S and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:PS5, it's been made for PS4 and Nintendo Switch. This has gone down like a lead balloon, especially since fans have had their hopes up for quite some time now 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:for a new-gen remake

To get into the specifics, the new Red Dead Redemption release isn't actually being worked on by Rockstar. Instead, it's in development at Double Eleven Studios, which 🐓previously worked on Fallout 76, Minecraft Dungeons, and t🎶he console edition of Rust. It's due to release on October 13 and will be bundled in with the Halloween-themed story expansion, Undead Nightmare.

The scariest thing about this bundle is that it'll cost $50 - the same price as many brand-new Nintendo Switch or PS4 games. For comparison, you can get Red Dead Redemption on PS3 for about $15 at most, and Red Dead Redemption 2 is usually around $20 on PS4. Hell, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Remnant 2, a brand-new ﷺnew-gen game, comes to mind for th🌞e $50 bracket.

from

As I'm sure you can imagine, this is pretty much the exact opposite of what fans were actually hoping for, and you don't hav🥂e to search far to see this demonstrated online. "$49.99? Ouch. It came out 13 years ago," one Twitter user shortly after the announcement was made. "No PC version and 50 dollars pricing," another added.

Others have argued that Take-Two has gone back on its word since it said the company wasn't interested in "simple ports" of its games. Some Red Dead Redemption fans have basically written off the game already, rightly that the last time Rockstar outsourced one of its games for a quick re-release, we ended up with a GTA Trilogy which released in such a poor state that it eventually forced 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Rockstar to apologize

If this wasn't proof enough that fans aren't happy with Rockstar's latest announcement, just take a look at the like to dislike ratio on the upcoming game's trailer on YouTube. At the time of writing, 18,000 people like it and another 19,000 dislike it. The top comments on the trailer are even more brutal, and all basically playing the same tun♕e: "Our expectations were low but holy crap."

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Baldur's Gate 3 continuꦓes to rocket through its launch weekend, and its success on PC looks to be trickling its way to PS5 players too.

As sp🃏otted by @BenjiSales over on Twitter, Baldur's Gate 3 has jumped up the PlayStation Store chart, and is now the second best selling pre-order in the US, beaten only by Madden NFL 24.

A quick check on shows that Baldur's Gate 3 is the third best selling pre-order here in the UK, losing out to EA Sports FC 24 and Marvel's Spid🍒er-Man 2.

Over on PC, Baldur's Gate 3 is proving to be even more popular now it's the weekend, as it's beaten its previous record of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:concurrent players on launch day of 532,876. As recorded by , its new concurrent player count is now a whoppingཧ 712,28.

Larian Studios CEO Swen Vincke previously said he'd warned the IT team to expect a concurrent player count of "100k or so😼 at the max", and it looks like the game's s✨uccess is well on its way to that figure.

The success of Baldur's Gate 3 on PS5 could be due to a number of things. The excitement from PC players seeing the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:scope of the game's writing, or 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:typical D&D problem-solving, or even just 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Larian's own antics is likely filtering over to PS5 users. The game's excellence as an RPG is probably also filling the gap a lot of us are feeling, with the lack of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Mass Effect 5 and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Dragon Age 4 from BioWare.

For those of you who'll be diving into Baldur's Gate 3 on PS5 once it releases on September 6, just beware of any, um, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:genital jump-scares please.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> Update: The first Baldur's Gate 3 hotfix has officially arrived a day after launch with remedies for over 150 b🍃ugs and crashes. Interestingly, the arrival of the patch also brings the death of cross-saves, which Larian Studios says are to blame for broader i൲ssues players are having with their save files.

"We've been reading your reports on iss🃏ues with saving your game, and have found a culprit – our cross-saves. Bearing in mind this will only be a useful feature come September 6 when the PlayStation 5 version launches (and beyond), we've decided to disable it for now to allow us to solve the issue in the interim. You shouldn’t notice anything in-game and Steam Cloud saves are unaffected by this change."

Els♋ewhere, the patch notes detail fixes for several laundry lists of issues from general "crashes and blockers" to bugs affecting general gameplay, multiplayer, UI, audio, engine, and cinematics. Here's a link to the , but be cautioned that within the patchꦑ notes are some story spoilers, although they have been blacked out with a togglable filter.

Original story follows...

Baldur's Gate 3's first hotfix is currently "cooking in the kitchen" and should arrive later today, aℱccording to Larian Studios&a🔯pos; CEO.

Swen Vincke has announced through Twitter that a hotfix for 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Baldur's Gate 3 is due very soon. "Thank you, everyone, for all t🍃he love and support. It brought a tear to many eyes and it's incredibly motivating for all of us. We can't thank you enough," ꦰVincke writes, "that said - Hotfix 1 is cooking in the kitchen and we hope to get it out today."

We doubt you missed it, but just in case you've been living under a rock, Baldur's Gate 3 officially launched yesterday giving fans access to the full game after previously only be൩ing able to play the ꧙opening hours via early access.

This trial period was clearly enough to get everyone excited as Baldur's Gate 3's launch may have broken Steam as players reported downloads ranging from 6 hours to 6 months. Let's♑ hope that the upcoming hotfix makes players' entry into the g🔯ame just that little bit smoother.

Despite this, it's been heartwarming to see just how well Baldur's Gate 3's fans have responded to the game's launch. In response to Vincke's tweet, countless players have replied thanking Vincke and the rest of the team at Larian Studios for releasing such a 🐽fun game.

"NO THANK YOU, AND YOUR TEAM," one Twitter user , "Everyone can see the love you guys p♑ut in this 🐷game, and for that, you ended up making a game that's not only worth the name Baldur's Gate, but also made what is probably the best one in the series," another one .

Let's hope everything gets ironed out by the time Baldur's Gate 3 releases on 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:PS5 on September 6, 2023.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> Retro beat 'em🧔 up Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of Dragons will soon be getting an online co-op mode, its developer just wants to perfect single-player first.

In an interview with Retro Gamer (Issue 249), developer Secret Base discussed its future plans with its recent♊ly released fighting game, Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of Dragons. Despite launching just last week, the developer already has plans to incorporate an online co-op mode, it just might take a while as "making a game work online is a little bit harder," the studio's founder Raymond Teo tells Retro Gamer.

"It requires a lot of work and testing and we want to make sure that part is in a good state when we roll it out," Teo explains. "A lesson I have learned from the pas🍎t is that, despite the effort to make sure 🐽a game will be multiplayer, a lot of players actually end up playing single-player, so we want to make sure that the player has a good single-player experience," the developer continues.

Elaborating using their own experiences growing up, Teo adds: "As a kid, I often played beat 'em-ups by myself and, if you can introduce a good mechani🌳c, then you can improve the experience. So we want to make sure it works for one or two players locally then, eventually, be like, OK, once all of that is ready let's look at how we can integrate the multiplayer [online] aspect." So we may be waiting a little while to test out the new feature ourselves, but it already sounds like it'll be worth the wait.

If this is the first time you're hearing about Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons, let us fill you in. Released on July 27, 2023, this beat &a🐼pos;em up is a new a♑ddition to the long-running fighting game series that originally started in arcade cabinets back in 1987. There's been a lot of iterations over the years, but this particular entry in the series includes roguelite elements and will allow players to team up with a friend via local co-op.

Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons is available now on 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:PS5, PS4, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. You can read Teo&a𝔍pos;s full interview in the latest copy of Retro Gamer Magazine, which is on sale now and available via .

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> The developers of PlayStation cult classic Patapon are back with a new⛎ rhythm-based game, which was funded via Kickstarter in less than an hour.

If you were playing games on the PSP back in the early 2000s, you're sure to be familiar with Patapon. The rhythm strategy game saw players take control of a group of anthropomorphic eyeballs called Patapons as they battled against various enemies in timꦅe with a sequence of drum beats. The game - as well as its♐ sequels - was later remastered for the PS4, so it's garnered a lot of fans over the years.

Patapon has so many fans in fact that new studio R🌳atata Arts (which is made up of some of Patapon's former devs) had absolutely no problem accumulating the funds for its successor Ratatan, another rhythm game with roguelike elements and side-scroller action. This might be the quickest I've ever seen a gain the funds it needs, as a mere 47 minutes after the campaign was launched, it had already managed to meet its ¥200,000,00 / $140,182 goal.

Don't worry if you didn't manage to back the project in those 47 minutes, as it's not too late to show your support. At the time of writing, Ratata Arts has managed to raise over $360,000, surpassing the project's second stretch goal - which was to raise enough to add an online mode to the game. If the project continues to gain traction it could mean we'll get a console version of the upcoming game as well as more featur🐠es like mini-games.

As for when we can expect Ratatan, according to the project's FAQ page, the team is "actually quite far along in the production cycle" and so "feel very confident in getting everything into the game by April 2025." If fans continue supporting the game and it manages to reach its console release stretch goal, we can also expect to play it on 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Series X, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:PS5, and Nintendo Switch.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> The 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:PS5's new beta firmware update includes an o💧ption to adjust the infamous start-up beep sound's volume, all the way down to a full-on mute if you prefer.

The software update is rolling out to PS5 beta testers today, and as we covered earlier, it effectively doubles the capacity limi🌳t for replacement SSDs, from the previous 4TB cap to 8TB. However, while us chronic game hoarders were singing the praises of the update, we glossed ꦰright over the fact that a PlayStation console trademark since the PS3 days is now fully turn-off-able.

Buried in the for the update is this golden little tidbit: "You can now 𒀰mute or adjust the volume of the PS5's beep sound when turning it on or off, or putting it in rest mode."

Assuming this change makes its way to all PS5 users at some point down the road, you'll see a new option in system settings for "Beep Sound," and I just have to say I adore that that's its official name. From there, you'll be able to toggle the beepity beep on and off and use a volume slider to make it quieter or, for the truly lost, louder.

The PlayStation community's reaction to this addition has ranged from apathetic to , with almost nothing in-between. Apparently, you&apoܫs;ve either heard so many PlayStation beeps that you're completely desensitized or traumatized by them at this point.

Personally, I find the beep useful in alerting me to the fact that I have indeed sat on my PS5 controller and that my episode of Love Island is about to be interrupted by the PS5 start-up screen. That said,🌟 it's nice to have options.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> Another Rockstar website update has hopes for a Red Dead Redemption remake or remaster running high once again, even though this is perhaps the thinnest 'hint&apos𒁏; at the project we've seen yet.

Earlier today, prominent Rockstar leaker Tez2 noted on Twitter that "Rockstar's new site update, live an hour ago, added a new reference within the games 𓂃list," labeled as "Red Dead Redemption (Rockstar Presents Ver)." Thi🙈s reference's codename is apparently "RDR1RSP," which Tez2 speculated to mean "RDR1 Remaster SP." Tez2 also attached a "new" version of the Red Dead Redemption logo.

While the notion of a new version of Red Dead Redemption with the "Rockstar Games Presents" branding was obviously enough to set , there's just one problem: that logo isn&🌸apos;t actually new at all. It's identical to the logo on the box of the original Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Red Dea♏d Redemption, right down to the Rockstar Games Presents label over top. That version of the logo might be new to the Rockstar website, but it ain't new to the world.

As for the RDR1RSP codename, as much as I'd love to be wrong, I fear that's probably just 🥀a filename for the 'Red Dead Redemption 1: RockStar Presents' logo version.

Tez2 has historically been a pretty accurate source of Rockstar tips, and I don't doubt all this stuff is part of a recent website update, but I'm definitely not convinced it's a hint at a new version of Red Dead Redemption. Last year, Tez2 reported that plans for a ⛦R🌺ed Dead Redemption remaster had been in the works, but had been shelved, poten💞tially in response to the disastrous launch of the remastered Grand Theft Auto trilogy.

A few weeks ago, an update to the Rockstar Social Club included a number of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查🐽询:new achievement icღons for Red Dead Redemption, once again sparking vain remaster hopes until everyone realized it wasn't the only game to get such an update. Shortly afterward, fans started reading way too much into Take-Two finan🌊cial calls. The one somewhat concrete detail is that Red Dead Redemption did get a new rating i♔n Korea recently🅠, but even that is far from a certain confirmation that a remake or remaster is incoming.

At least modders are here to give us a taste at the potential for a Red Dead Redemption remaster.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is now available on PC, which means that developer Insomniac's claims that the game was only possible with the power of the PS5's SSD are being put to the test. Turns out that the developers wer🌠e right.

Back in 2020, ahead of the launch of both the game and the PS5 itself, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:creative director Marcus Smith said that "Ratche🌠t and Clank: Rift Apart is a game that utilizes dimensions and dimensional riftඣs, and that would not have been possible without the solid state drive of the PlayStation 5." That statement has proven weirdly controversial among console warriors over the years, though it's always been clear enough that the quote was referring more to the type of SSD the PS5 uses than some special property of the console itself.

Digital Foundry's John Linneman provided a clip of the PC ver💟sion of Rift Apart running on a minimum-spec machine equipped with an original PS4 hard drive, and the results are predictably disastrous. In the game's breakneck opening sequence, where you instantaneously travel through a series of portals to other worlds, just getting through a single portal queues up a loading time over a minute long.

Linneman that Rift Apart is somewhat more playable on a faster hard drive in a higher-spec PC, but it's still not a match for a proper, modern SSD. I guess that technically means Rift Apart is "possible" without a PS5-grade SSD, but I'm not sure I'd categorize that clip as appearing at all playable. One couldn't resist a little "as we said" jab with these res𒊎ults.

The PC release of Rift Apart has had its own weirdo-driven controversy, with some suggesting that its existence is a betrayal of that original quote. Folks, again, that quote is abou☂t SSDs - but for what it's worth, the PS5 version of the game still loads marginally faster than even a high-en🌃d PC equipped with a top shelf SSD.

Early testing from suggests that the game isn't taking full advantage of the highest-end PC SSDs in general, and that there are a few stability issues and missing graphical features that are preventing this from being a perfect port. It's still substantially better than the launch version o🅺f The Last of Us Part♒ 1 on PC and much mor෴e in line with Sony's better-regarded PC relꦆeases.

Alongside the trailer, Insomniac unveiled a limited edition Marvel's Spider-Man 2 PS𓃲5 consoಞle featuring a black and red design with the Spider-Man logo and what appears to be the symbiote creeping up from the console's lower corner. The story trailer seems to strongly suggest that Harry Osborn, Peter Parker's best friend, ultimately becomes the main antagonist Venom. It's also the first we've seen of Insomniac's take on Harry, a popular character from the Spider-Man movies and comic books who you can read all about 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:right here.

Elsewhere in the trailer, we get our first look at Marvel's Spider-Man 2's Mary Jane, who's now working at The Daily Bugle under J Jonah Jameson. MJ's new boss is keen to clean house, leaving her employment in peril. Meanwhile, Miles is struggling to find time to apply to college, and Peter Parker is underwater on the mortgage payments for Aunt May's house. Basically, everyone's in kind of a rough start when the s🍸equel's story picks up 9-10 months after the first game. Somehow though, I expect things to get much worse before they get any better, as the story trailer ends with Venom in a full rage.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> When studios make deals with Microsoft to brౠing their games to Xbox Game Pass, it also benefits fans on PlayStation consoles, according to Michael Schade, CEO and co-founder of Rockfish Games.

Schade makes the comment in an interview with YouTube cha🌌nnel ꩵ to discuss Everspace 2, developed and published by Rockfish Games, ahead of its release on console.

Everspace 2 was in Steam early access from 2021 until April 2023 when it fully released on PC. In the mea✱ntime, the studio has been working on console versions of the game and Schade says the deal with Xbox Game Pass added "nine to twelve months of more production time".

"We could have [made Everspace 2 without a deal with Xbox Game Pass] but it would have been a smal𒀰ler game," he says, explaining that the extra fund❀ing provided by the Game Pass deal allowed the team to add more content to Everspace 2 and polish the game.

This, in turn, benefits play🃏ers who'll be getting the game on PS5, Schade says. "It's maximum flexibility, extra funding, you just make a better game, and everybody's happy," he states, "even the PlayStatioꦛn fans get a better game on PS5 because of the deal with Game Pass."

Schade is also asked whether putting Everspace 2 on PC Game Pass hurt Steam sales of the game. "To be frank, I couldn't see any dip," he says, confirming that Steam figures weren't affected by PC Game Pass. He calls the deal with Game Pass "one of the best, if not the best" in the industry, as it allowed Rockfish to♛ remain independent whilst getting the studio more visibility and extra funding.

So no, Game Pass doesn't cannibalise sales and developers aren't going to put worse versions of their game on PS5 compared to Xbox Series X|S. In the case of Everspace 2, at least.

Here's the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best space games which let you explore the unknown that you can currently play.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> Microsoft estimated it could get 10 million 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Starfield sales on PlayStation, but – surprise – opted to make it to an Xbဣox console exclusive instead.

Yesterday, July 13, a US court released from the case of the Federal Trade Commission against Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard. The court documents reveal Microsoft Gaming's CFO Tim Stuart believed the company could see over 10 million Starfield sales on PS5 alone if it had kept Bethesda's RPG on 🍷Sony's platform.

Obviously, we know Starfield isn't coming to PS5 anymore. What persuaded Microsoft to ditch these 10 million potential Starfield sales was the belief the company could recuperate these profits by launching Starfield via the Xbox Game Pass subscription service on both 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Series X/S and PC, not to mention increased console sale🔯s.

It's a bit of a gamble from Microsoft, which clearly believes Starfield will be enough to get people to buy into Xbox and Game Pass purely for Bethesda's new game. 10 million sales is a hell of a lot to sacrifice for ܫa game, especially one that's been in development for so long at a development studio as big as Bethesda Games.

It's not just Starfield that's mentioned here by Stuart, either. The CFO also believed the Indiana Jones game from MachineGames, part of 🅺the Zenimax umbrella Xbox acquired when it also took over Bethe🧜sda, could also see 10 million sales on PlayStation consoles. But just like with Starfield, Microsoft chose to forgo these possible sales in favor of launching exclusively on Xbox Game Pass on day one.

These court documents were published alongside 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:the FTC losing their court case a🥀gainst Microsoft. A judge decreed the FTC hadn't provided suffಞicient evideꦺnce to grant an injunction halting Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard, and so the planned purchase is now officially cleared to proceed in the US.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> As someone who’s been pining for a PSVita successor, Sony’s Project Q PS5 handheld thingy is firmly on my radar. However, one of my biggest flaws is impatience, meaning if Iꦺ can figure out a way to do something ahead of time, I will. So, in a bid to beat the console giant at their own game, I decided to turn the Logitech G Cloud into a PS5 remote play portable, and it’s wa๊y better than I anticipated.

Before we dive into how I conjured up an early 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Sony Project Q wannabe, I’d encourage you to check out Tabitha Baker’s 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Logitech G Cloud review. Unlike some of the best handheld 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:gaming PCs out there like the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Steam Deck, Logitech’s slick streaming device comes with big cloud🌺 caveats, as it relies on both a high-s🅠peed broadband connection and services like Nvidia GeForce Now and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

So🐠unds like the G Cloud is about as much use as a Wii U gamepad, right? Well, sort of, but that’s perhaps slightly harsh considering it’s actually one of the best cloud ▨handhelds out there. It also boasts a very specific, yet experimental, feature that enabled me to teach it how to act like a Sony Project Q, assuming that it’ll solely provide you with remote access to your PS5.

App-ly some pressure

This will sound a little silly, but both my laziness and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Final Fantasy 16 are to blame for this makeshift Project Q project. Sure, most of the time I’m content leathering god-like Kaiju perched on the end of the couch, but when it comes to tedious side quests, I’d rather chip away at them lying horizontal. Thus, it became clear that I’d need a way to visit Valisthea using a mobile device, which naturally meant finding something that’d run Sony’s 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:PS Remote Play app.

At first, I considered pairing my ageing Huawei P30 Pro smartphone with something like the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Backbone One. I’m not saying this isn’t a good solution, and our review praises the controller adapter for its high quality buttons and st🍸icks. I guess my hesitancy revolves around the janky nature of my now four-year-old phone, and since I’m used to using the Steam Deck on the reg, I’d🐬 prefer to use something with a larger screen.

Before you ask, I did look into whether the Steam Deck can run PS Remote Play, and you can indeed run the app using a workaround. Again, laziness lies at the heart of this project, and I’m not always willing to fiddle around with SteamOS, even if using a 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Steam Deck dock makes it easier. That’s where the G Cloud comes in, as the fact it runs Android means you can ꦐeasily fetch the PS Remote Play app from the Google🌜 Play store without any faff.

Standing in the way of control(s)

Logitech G Cloud with key mapping function on screen

(Image credit: Future / Phil Hayton)

As you’d perhaps expect, the PS Remote Play app works on the Logitech G Cloud, and you’ll be able to sync it up with your PS5 just like you would with a 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:gaming phone. However, Sony’s app refuses to acknowledge the handheld’s built-in controls, which served as a huge spanner in the works when it comes to replicating Project Q’s functionality. Thankfully, G Cloud actually comes with a nifty feature that somewhat bridges the incompatibility gap, and I’m happy to report that it almost works perfectly.

The feature in question is dubbed ‘key mapping’, and if you own a G Cloud, you’ll find it in the settings menu under ‘Lab’. As the category implies, the function is experimental, but I managed to cobble together PS Remote Play controller sup𓄧port 🐠by assigning the buttons and sticks to the app’s touchscreen controls. The whole process is way easier than you might think, and it pretty much involves labelling each UI icon with a corresponding physical button.

Correctly matching everything up will 🌜effectively trick the app into thinking you're touching the screen, when really you’re letting physical controls do all the work. The feature also seems to translate the inputs with minima🔯l latency, which helps it feel like you’re directly controlling the game. Sadly, there is one caveat that might be a deal breaker for some, as you’ll have to put up with visible virtual buttons on screen.

It’s worth noting that there is a setting in the remote play app that hides on screen inputs, but it’ll reappear when you start using the G Cloud’s controls. In a way, the caveat makes to🎀tal sense, as why wouldn’t you want to see what you’re pressing if you’re using your actual fingers. And that’s ultimately what the app thinks you’re doing, so it’s pretty much an annoya💫nce linked to the background trickery involved.

(Image credit: Future / Phil Hayton)

Time to Pretend

So, now that we’ve vaulted over the controls hurdle, it’s time to look at how far we can go with pretending the G Cloud is an actual PlayStation handheld. To fully commit to the bit, I decided to download Sony’s PS App in addition to the Remote Play one 💎mentioned above. Upon doing so, I was greeted with a ‘controller detected’ message, which is weird and hilarious given that the actual application you’ll use to play games refuses to do th🥂at.

Signing in to the PS App essentially acts as a hub, providing access to the PlayStation Store, console game library, and your friends list. Simply put, it offers up all the functions you’d find on your PS5 itself, which is something I’d fully expect Project Q to provide without using Remote Play. I actually think the app’s UI really suits the G Cloud, with options placed in a way that feels suited to a 16:9 screen. That’s perhaps not what I was expecting from something also available on mobile,🃏 as I’m used to using the version on my smartphone in portrait mไode.

I guess the one thing that’s potentially missing i✱n the G Cloud compared to Project Q is the promise of DualSense shenanigans. In truth, while I appreciate Sony’s tech, I’m not sure how invested I am in haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. I mean, Final Fantasy 16 uses them to su꧟ggest Clive has big muscles and can open heavy doors, but if I’m being honest, the execution just makes it feel like I need to try really hard to give the gruff Dominant orders.

(Image credit: Future / Phil Hayton)

There is one big feature that could give Project Q an edge over other handhelds, and that’s the ability to stream PlayStation games via the cloud. The initial handheld announcement only mentions Remote Play via Wi-Fi, so there’s a good chance that the new portabl☂e won’t actually provide a way to access PS Pl♏us Premium games without using your PS5. Naturally, that’s a bummer, but it’s sort of a win for the G Cloud, as it means it can do almost everything Project Q can.

At this stage, you might be wondering what the takeaway from my little experiment is. After all, the experience isn’t exactly perfect, an🧸d I don’t know for sure whether I’m emulating the exact functionality Project Q will eventually offer. I guess my answer to that is that it doesn’t really matter, as I only set out to play Final Fantasy 16 in bed instead of sleeping. I’m confident I managed to achieve that goal, and if you’re looking for a handheld that’ll link up with your PS5 in the same way, the G Cloud is a worthy contender.

As for buying advice, I’d urge you not to run out and pay full price for a G Cloud just so you can play PS5 games. If you happen to come across one on offer, and you’re into the idea of cloud gaming in general, then you could do much worse than Logitech’s handheld. However, your money is better spent elsewhere if you’re looking for a portable pal, and options like the Steam Deck will have access to more PlayStation games as they gradually arrive on Steam and the Epic Game Store (albeit with potentially questionable🎐 performance strings attached).

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> A new version of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Last of Us 2 for PS5 could be on the way - if the words of the series' comp𝄹oser Gustavo Santaolalla are anything to go by.

Appearing on an episode of the , Santaolalla talked about his cameo in The Last of Us Part 2, revealing (in Spanish, machine translated) that in a "new edition" of the game, players will be able to approach the composer in-game and request songs for him to play. This was all that Santaolalla said on the topic, but it's got fans convinced 🀅that the rumors of a The Last of Us 2 re-release are🐲 actually true.

We first got to reunite with Ellie and Joel (five years after the events of the first game) back in June 2020 - a whole three years ago now. Although the game still holds up today, it's important to remember that The Last of Us Part 2 was only released on PS4 - with a free 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:PS5 upgrade released almost a year later - which isn't quite the same ✱as a game designed for the current-gen PlayStation from the ground up.

Although The Last of Us Part 2 doesn't technically need a re-release, I can't say I wouldn't be interested in replaying it with all new bells and whistles attached. Especia꧃lly since Santaolalla's quote makes it sounds like Naughty Dog plans to add some new features to the game that we didn&a🤪pos;t get in the original release.

It also makes a lot of sense to have 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Last of Us Part 1 and The Last of Us Part 2 on the same console, especially with all the renewed interest in the series thanks to HBO's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Last of Us TV show.

What about a brand-new game? Well, The Last of Us Part 3 rumors have been circulating recently.

1. Samsung 980 Pro 1TB |
Save $30 - To be completely honest, I cover SSD and storage for a living, and I'm shocked to see the 980 Pro this chea𒅌p forౠ Prime Day. <![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> This Prime ꩲDay VR deal on the high-end HTC Vive Pro 2 sees one of our favorite headsets on sale for more than $100 off its norma꧑l price.

The HTC Vive Pro 2 consistently ranks among the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best VR headsets currently available, and for this year's Prime Day it's been discounted to $679 (from $799) on Amazon. That's pretty darn close to the popular VR kit's lowest price ever, though it's worth noting it has had slightly bigger discounts 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:in the past. Even so, a $120 savings is nothing to sneeze at, especially if you're eager to get your hands on a new headset sooner rather ༺than later.

It's worth noting that among today's best 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Prime Day gaming deals are plenty of other offers for much cheaper VR headsets. Specifically, our guide to 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Prime Day Meta Quest deals is chalk full of complete VR setups for as low as $269. Of course, you won't get quite the performance and visual fid🎃elity of an HTC V💞ive Pro 2 with a Meta Quest headset, but it's something worth considering if your budget's a factor.

HTC Vive Pro 2 Headset |
Save $120 - This isn't quite the HTC Vive Pro 2's biggest discount ever, but it's pretty dang close! If you're on the hunt for a high-end piece of VR hardware, and you have the PC to support it, it's hard to go wrong with this Prime Day VR deal.

Should you buy an HTC Vive VR headset?

Although it launched back in 2021, the HTC Vive Pro 2 still boasts class-leading optics with its ridiculously sharp 5K LCD screen (made up of dual 2.5K displays) and ultra-smooth 120 HZ refresh rate. For comparison, Sony's new PSVR 2 has an OLED display with a resolution of 2000 x 2040 per eye, so not quite as high as the Vive Pro 2, although the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:PSVR 2's price is a little more agreeable.

If you want a completely wireless VR experience, the only option we'd recommend is Meta's line of headsets, which start at $299 for the 128GB model and $349 for the 256GB model. Here are the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best Meta Quest deals for July 2023 if you're interested.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> PlayStation has confirmed exactly when you can preload 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Marvel's Spider-Man 2 ahead of its launch on October 20, and we'll have a full w💞eek to download the long-awaited sequel before its﷽ release date.

According to , the official Marvel's Spider-Man 2 preload date is Friday, October 13, and you can download the game🥀 starting at 6am PT / 9am ET / 2pm BS🙈T. This info was reportedly found on the PlayStation Store after a digital copy was pre-ordered.

The download will be available to anyone with a 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询♏:Marvel's Spider-Man 2 pre-order, but just to be clear, it doesn't grant early access to the actual game. The preload just gives you a way to have the game downloaded and ready to go before it releases, saving you time and allowing you to swing into New York as soon as possible. Plus, with a map about twice the size of the alr🅘eady expansive original, ꦗwe're expecting a pretty chonky file for the sequel, so it'll be hand🍌y to have it already installed on your SSD when it launches.

Another reason we expect Spider-Man 2 to eat up all of your gigabytes is that Insomniac Games has made it clear it was 🥂made with "no compromises" as a PS5 exclusive. The original Spider-Man was built for PS4 and later remastered for PS5, while the much smaller Spider-Man: Miles Morales launched on PS5 but was developed to run on PS4 as well. PlayStation has yet to reveal the file siz🍌e for the sequel, but we wouldn't be surprised to see it weigh in at over 100 GB.

For everything on the horizon, here's our comprehensive guide to 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:upcoming PS5 games.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Final Fantasy 16 has finally ﷽added motion blur settings in a new update, and players couldn't be mor𓆏e thankful.

Patch 1.03 just went live for Final Fantasy 16 on PS5 earlier today on Ju🉐ly 6. Perhaps the most noteworthy feature is th𒁃e fact that players can now adjust the strength of the game's motion blur, choosing between five overall settings to dictate how noticeable they want motion blur to be.

"THANK YOU FOR THE MOTION BLUR ADJUSTMENTS!!!!!!! This is a HUGE improvement!" writes one Twitter user in response to the new update. "That motion blur option is a lifesaver! Lo🔯ving almost everyth💛ing about this game, but the motion blur is a bit much sometimes," adds another user.

Yes, motion bl✃ur adjustments really are that big a thing for Final Fantasy 16 players. Prior to this update, you only had one standard setting for motion blur, meaning you couldn't change the setting, or even turn it off at all, if you thought theꦗ motion blur was a bit much at times.

"I believe I speak on behalf of the entire community when I say: Thank f***," says one user, pretty neatly summing up everyone's thoughts on the matter. Aside from that, a lot of people want fixes for Final Fantasy 16's performance mode, which prioritizes frame rate over resolution for what should 𒈔be smooth 60FPS gameplay.

Final Fantasy 16 hasn't launched without its issues, including in particular apparently 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:overheating PS5꧅♐ consoles during huge moments. Square Enix might not have wanted💯 to put out any post-launch patches for the new game whatsoever, but it seems its hand has been forced a bit o✅n this one.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> The devel🤡oper of the biggest PS3 emulator has now turnedꦐ its attention to working on one for the PS4.

As reported by em💙ulation fan , the team behind the RPCS3 PS3 emulator (whic⛄h started life back in 2011) seems to be working on a PS4 emulator called RPCSX - as spotted on . As pointed out in the original blog post, the project appears to still be in the early stages of development, and isn't the first of its kind, with plenty of other developers also trying to create their own PS4 emulators of varying quality.

Speaking to one of the project's developers, Read Only Memo discovers that the idea for a PS4 emulator has been floating around amongst the team for a while. "I did some things just after the console's release," the developer says, however, they decided to wait until after the release of the PS5 to work on it further.

Some of the developers that worked on🐬 RPCS3 (PS3 emulator) are on board for the PS4 version too, but the emulaꦯtor is currently open on Github, meaning anyone able to lend a hand is welcome to contribute to the project.

The project's developer explains some of the benefits of creating a PS4 emulator, revealing t𒁏hat it'll be particularly useful if your favorite game is removed from the PSN, for example, Hideo Kojima's elusive horror game P.T. According to the same post, there's no ETA for RPCSX - since developing it isn't anyone's full-time job - but when it is up and running it'll hopefully run "real PS4 games".

Considering the jum🎃p Sony took between the PS3 and the PS4, it's no surprise that this is already a pretty ambitious task for the team. It'll hopefully be worth it though when fans🧜 are able to play their favourite PS4 games on PC one day.

On the topic of PlayStation emulators, the best PS1 emulator now has better online multiplayer than most modern games.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> PS5 owners report that 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Final Fantasy 16 is overheating their consoles, causing them to shut dಌown entirely.

Last week before Final Fantasy 16 even launched, there were strong hints 𓂃of its boss fights causing PS5s to overheat from those who were playing the game ahead of launch. As first noticed by , now that Square Enix's new game is out in the wild, others are also chipping in with the🎃ir experience of their new-gen consoles overheating, just like the poor individual just below.

A lot of speculation surrounding the overheating stems from Final Fantasy 16's graphics mode. This mode, as you can probably imagine by the name, brings all the PS5s weight to bear to make the game look as good as possible, and ෴players are theorizing that it's purely this mode that's causing consoles to overheat during both big and small moments.

However, that's not entirely true. We've had our own expe🅰rience of a crash in Final Fantasy 16, and it came about while we were playing in the performance mode, which scales down the graphics somewhat for a stable 60FPS output. It looks like, at least from 🧸a cursory investigation, the graphics mode isn't the prime culprit here.

It's difficult to say what's causing the overheating, especially because multiple players, like the one above, claim their PS5 is dust-free. Here's hoping Square Enix is at least aware of the situation and investigating, although the developer did 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:previously apologize for t🌱he day one patch, so who knows how much apologizingꦅ t♏here'll be if a new update rolls around.

You can head over to our guide on the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best Final Fantasy 16 abilities for hints on what you should be unlocking for.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> The Nintendo Switch has been an unfortunate casualty of the FTC court case that's potentially set to decide whether the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Activision deal goes ahead, but now its hoꦚnor has been def♌ended by a federal judge.

A significant part of the FTC's strategy has been to highlight Microsoft's strength in the games industry. If it can do that successfully, it would make its job - of proving that this historically large acquisition is anti-competitive - significantly easier. To do that, it's focused on the three main console providers, attempting to argue that the Nintendo Switch shouldn't be considere൩d alongside the Xbox Series X and the PS5.

If the FTC can successfully disavow the Switch, then the console war becomes a two-horse race between Xbox and PlayStation, in which Microsoft's relative strength theoretically becomes much greater. If it can't, then Microsoft remains in third place behind Sony and Nintendo, and its apparent position in the industry is weaker. It's not a perfect argument - Microsoft is still well behind Sony, and both Microsoft and the FTC acknowledge that Xbox has lost the console war.

Nevertheless, the attempt to diminish the strength of the Switch remains, with the FTC arguing that it's technically an 8th Generation console that has no place competing with the processing power of Sony and Microsoft's 9th Generation offerings. It's being labeled as almost irrelevant in the modern console landscape - something that pundits have already decried as flawed given the strength of both the Switch's sales and the importance of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:one of 2023's best-selling games.

Microsoft hasn't been leaping entirely to the Switch's defense - the company has been attempting to focus on Sony's strength - although Activision-Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick did acknowledge that he should have been more open to the console's potential. Nintendo's deposition was sealed, so we don't know what it has to say on the matter, but at the last moment, it seems the Switch found an unlikely defender. During yesterday's closing arguments, IGN reporter Rebekah Valentine tweeted a comment from the judge presiding over the case, suggesting that the Switch is "nᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚot the same [as Xbox and PlayStation]. In many ways, it's better."

Technical law analyst Florian Mueller offered some more context around those comments. While the FTC that witnesses had said the Switch is not the same as high performance consoles, Judge Corley said that they connected to TVs to allow players to play "many of the same games," with Microsoft pointing out that many of the world's most popular games - Fortnite, M𓆉inecraft, and EA's Sports games - are available on the platform.

Those comments reflect a common line of analysis during this trial: that it doesn't really matter what generation the Nintendo Switch is part of. What matters is that it's still a popular, profitable console with games that still have the power to sell in the tens of millions. The Switch was never marketed as a direct competitor to PlayStation and Xbox consoles, just as the Wii and Wii U were alternatives to the likes of the Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PS3 and PS4. It's long been discussed that Ninten▨do has somewhat deliberately thrown off the shackles of the traditional console generations in order to appeal to a different audience, something both the Wii and the Switch have done extremely successfully. It seems that the FTC hasn't been wholly successful in its argument if this is the judge's takeaway, and even though we're still waiting for the Switch's successor, it seems that the original console is still creating new fans.

Keep up with our list of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best Switch games.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Baldur's Gate 3 is going to come out a month early on PC and a week late on PS5, and we can thank 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Starfield for that - at least in part.

The PC release now hits on August 3 across Steam and GOG. As the devs say in a , "This means the PC version of Baldur’s Gate 3 will be released at a time where you’ll have more time to play it." The long-awaited RPG had originally been scheduled to come out on August 31 across both PC and PS5, just one week before Starfield's September 6 release date, and just a single day before 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Starfield Early Access drops on September 1.

Developer Larian is pretty explicit about the reasons for the change in date in a comment to : "This is an extremely busy period for RPGs. Earlier in the year, we had new Zelda, then Diablo for the first time in something like a decade, with Starfield and Cyberpunk’s releases coming up as well. Our cleanest window for launch is Thursday, August 3 - we know Baldur’s Gate 3 will be ready on PC the🐓n, so it made sense to bring that date forward."

The PS5 version of Starfield will now launch on September 6, the very same day that Starfield comes out. With no 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Starfield on PS4 or PS5, this will give PlayStation fans another option for a big RPG on their preferred platform, though the devs say the console delay is more about improving technical performance. "Baldur’s Gate 3 is targeting 60 frames per second and we’re close to achieving that on the platform but need a bit more extra time. We don’t want to compromise on quality, and feel i𝓰t would be a shame to down♈scale to 30FPS or make other compromises to hit an arbitrary date."

The devs also say they're "optimistic" about bringing the game 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Series X, but they're still working to make sure the game's running well across both current-gen Xbox machines in both single-plꦦayer and local split-screen modes.

That Steam blog linked above also features a lengthy breakdown of all the features planned for release, including a new reveal for the Monk clas🍌s and a full breakdown of all the races, classes, and origin characters𒁃 you'll be able to choose from when starting out. Larian also says the level cap will now be 12, up from the previously-announced 10.

If you want to get an early taste of Baldur's Gate 3, it's available now in Early Acces🧜s on PC, but there's an important caveat: any saves you create now will not transfer to the final game.

2023 promises a bunch of contenders for our list of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best RPGs out there.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> An email chain between current and former PlayStation bosses suggest that neither of them were particularly bothered by the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Activision deal. In fact, they both seemed to think it was a bad deal for Ca🌳ll of Dutꦆy.

The , dated January 19 and 20, 2022 - immediately after Microsoft announced its plans to acquire Activision Blizzard - was made public as part of this week's hearings over the deal. The first email came after an appearance by Xbox boss Phil Spencer on CNBC, w🌠here he said the deal would cement Microsoft's role in mobile gaming. That refers to King, the Candy Crush publisher which is the third pillar of Activision Blizzard.

"Strikes me as more of a King play than COD," former Sony Computer Entertainment Europe president Christopher Deering told current Sony Interactive Entertainment president Jim Ryan in the email. Deering notes that King sold to Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick for "$5 billion and has now grown to be worth £50 billion." Dee♔ring seems to be suggesting that the acquisition - which is on track to cost $68.7 billion - would be a good deal to pick up King.

Not so for Call of Duty, however. "If it was an Xbox exclusivity play, Spencer could have locked up MS console exclusivity for the next 3 COD releases for maybe £5 billion," Deering said, adding that "if this was a play to end run PS5, et cetera, I think it was massively o😼vervalued and will not meaningfully succeed. I guess MS can piss away that kind of valuation♒ without being more harmed than helped, but I am not losing a wink of sleep over the future for our baby."

Deering added in a PS note that Microsoft "would have been better off announcing a new 🅘electric ca🦹r."

Jim Ryan's response to this email had been revealed earlier in the hearings, and he agreed at the time that the deal was "not an Xbox exclusivity play at all" and that he was confident 👍Call of Duty would remain on PlayStation for "many years to come." He added that "I'm not complacent and I'd rather this hadn&a⭕pos;t happened, but we'll be OK, more than OK."

That's a notably different tone than the one Ryan would take in public soon afterward, repeatedly skewering Xbox's offers to kee🐷p Ca๊ll of Duty on PlayStation and taking a central role in opposing the buyout asꦛ a threat to PlayStation's longevity.

This week's hearings have also revealed Jim Ryan's claims that publishers "unanimously do not like Game Pass."

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> PlayStation chief Jim Ryan says that while he doesn't like 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Starfield's Xbox exclu🦄sivity, h🦩e doesn't view it as anti-competitive.

Axios journalist Stephen Totilo reported that, during his deposition as part of the FTC lawsuit over the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Activision deal, Ryan was asked about Xbox's exclusivity practices in the wake of its acquisition of Bethesda. Regarding exclusivity details for both Redfall and Starfield, Ry𒈔an said "I don't like it," but "I fundamentally have no quarrel" with Redfall and "I don'tꦏ view it as anti-competitive" when it came to Starfield.

Ryan's comments about Starfield and Redfall are very diffꦺerent to Sony's stance on Call of Duty. Around the world, several lengthy anti-competition investigations have focused on that franchise, which Microsoft has pledged will remain available on PlayStation for at least ten years, should the deal go through. In most territ🧸ories, the deal has been approved, with the most notable exception being in the UK, where Cloud Gaming was a bigger stumbling block for Xbox and Activision. Both companies are appealing the decision of the UK's Competition and Markets Authority.

Elsewhere in his deposition, Ryan said he expected both Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6 to 𓂃release on PlaySta💫tion before Xbox bought Bethesda. Suggestions that the games might have instead been exclusive to Sony's platforms are understood to have kickstarted Microsoft's purchase of their♑ developer. The ongoing availability of Call of Duty on PlayStation appears to have turned heads at Bethesda, however, as publishing lead Pete Hines queriedꦜ that decision as "confusing" in regards to hiꦓs own studio.

Just in case it needed spelling out, Starfield won't be coming to PS4 or PS5.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> PlayStation boss Jim Ryan says that Sony fully expected to see 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Starfield and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Elder Scrolls 6 on its platfor🐻ms before M🀅icrosoft's buyout of Bethesda.

During Ryan's pre-recorded deposition shown as part of the hearings over the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Activision deal, he was asked if he believed Starfield and TES6 would come to PlayStation prior to the Microsoft acquisition (via Derek Strickland on ). Ryan said "we did," adding that "I think that pretty much every Bethesda game was multi-platform prio🌱r to the acquisition." He also said that it was only after the acquisition that Sony learned tﷺhese games would not be available on PlayStation.

Ryan acknowledged that Sony had contracts for the Bethesda-publis𓃲hed Ghostwire: Tokyo and Deathloop prior to the acquisition, which is how those games appeared on PS5 even after the deal closed - as one-year timed exclusives that have only recently hit Xbox at all.

Despite all that, Ryan also said that he wasn't too bothered by Microsoft's decision to make recent Bethesda titles Xbox exclusive (via Stephen Totilo on ). Of Redfall's exclusivity, he said "I don’t like it, but I fundamentalꦍly have no quarrel with it." On Starfield, he said "I don’t like it but I don’t view it as anti-competitive."

Earlier in the hearings, Xbox boss Phil Spencer said that The Elder Scrolls 6 is "s𒁏o far out" even he doesn't know what platforms it'll be on, indicating that Microsoft hasn't made a decision on whether or not it'll be an exclusive. According to the company's expected timing, TES6 might even 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:be a PS6 game if it comes to PlayStation at all.

Internal Xbox documents published during the hearings suggest that Microsoft had designs on buying Sega, Bungie, and at least seven other studios.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> Lay down your gamepads and stop the button mashing: Microsoft has admitted that Xbox "lost the console wars". As a proud Series S owner, this concession feels freeing. I&𓃲apos;m more excited than ever to finally buy a PS5 and reap the benefit🧜s of being a multi-trick pony.

No matter which side of the proverbial line in the sand you stand on, I'm hoping we can all agree that the term "console wars'' is unnecessarily dramatic. It's divisive and distracting, dragging us into a corporate rivalry that really has nothing to do with a shared love of games. It's an exciting time to be a console player, and now that the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:FTC has crowned a winner-by-numbers, I'm all set to expand⛄ my collection and welcome PlayStation bac💎k into my life.

Soldier for the controller

Resident Evil 4

Even before the recent 'Sony versus Microsoft' scramble to acquire major studios, it's a fact that many of us feel the need to defend our consoles of choice with blind faith. At its core, infighting between gamers in the so-called "console wars" is predicated on the myth that you must choose a side and stick to it. But loyalty to a company feels dubious at best, e🦩specially when most of us have long moved on from the first consoles we ever played.

I still have my brother's old PS2, quietly gathering dust in its bubble wrap after making the successful jump across the world with me when I left Hong Kong in 2022, but I keep it more for nostalgia than anything else. I last used it to replay Resident Evil Dead Aim, mainly to prove to the naysayers that it is actually a fun and silly spin-off in the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Resident Evil timeline. When I found that it was a PlayStation exclusive, I felt instantly grateful to have played it at all – and a little 𒅌bit sad for my friends that never did.

In the grand scheme of things, sticking to one console has done nothing but hold me back. I was raised on PS2 games, but I'll admit it: I love my Xbox Series S, and have no shame in that. Nor should I –𝄹 it's small, sleek, and makes an excellent Game Pass machine to play day-one releases. Paired with the attractive low retail price being an obvious dra♕w for your average millennial, Xbox seemed the logical choice when I decided to deviate from my PC-only preferences earlier this year.

But the lure of Sony's gleaming flagship console is too tempting to deny any longer. Sony and Microsoft are home to top-range machines, ones that far outshine the humble Nintendo Switch in power and libraries alone. Recent studio acquisitions means that upcoming first-party exclusives, like 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Starfield and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Marvel's Spider-Man 2, won't be playable on rival consoles. It's been on my mind for months, but I'm finally committing to picking up a ༺PS5 as soon as financially possible.

Playing the even field

Fable

At its core, infighting between gamers in the so-called "console w꧑ars" is predicated on the myth that you must choose a side and st💟ick to it.

Game exclusivity is nothing new, but it's certainly one reason for the Xbox versus PlayStation divide among console players. In-house constraints of various titles means I never 🌺got to play Fable until 2023, and I've never felt deprived♛ of Halo thanks to being wholly uninterested in the franchise in general.

I'm lucky that my older brother has excellent enough taste that we were never short on stuff to play, but his reassurance of the PS2's 🦹supremacy over Xbox 360 meant I felt entitled to j♉udge other kids on their console of choice.

Having picked up an Xbox in my late 20s and finally seeing what all the fuss is about, though, I'm starting to question the infighting altogether. Browsing ﷺGame Pass, I've been able to play games I've never even heard of thanks to console exclusivity. Filling in the gaps of my games knowledge has been a joy with my Xbox, and it's making me wonder why I've been holding back from picking up a PS5 now that they're no longer in short supply.

I'd like to think that it was more of a money-savvy decision on my part, but in hindsight, I realize that the fear of being a "double agent" was baked into it as well. Being a PC player lets you occupy a safe middle ground in many ways, with plenty of exclusives eventually making their way to Steam (thank you, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Last of Us Part 1). It was my way to avoid choosing a side. Now, ൲unshackled by the corporate numbers game, it's a relief that I no longer have t𒉰o.

There's a litany of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:new games for 2023 and beyond to keep an eye on, no matter your preferred platform.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> Ever wondered why there's no native PS5 version of Minecraft? 🅺Well, wonder no more. According to Xbox boss Phil Spencer, it's because Sony didn't want Microsoft to have a PS5 dev kit.

澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Dev kits enable developers to create games for new or burgeoning hardware ahead of its release and are particularly important when testing early and/or unstab🙈le games in development.

But whilst Sony was seemingly "sending [PS5 dev kits] to other developers", Spencer revealed that Son♚y was "reluctant" to share the tech with its competitor, even though Minecraft has long been available on Sony systems.

"Sony was reluctant to send us development kits for the PlayStation 5 at the same time they were sending them to other de🌃velopers, which put us at a disadvantage relative to other developers," Spencer said (thanks, ).

"I think Sony could have sent the development kits to Microsoft just as easy as th♎ey sent them to any other publisher."

ICYMI, Microsoft says that if the US Federal Trade Commission gets its way and delays its 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Activision Blizzard purchase, it may just abandon the deal altogether.

As concisely summarized by Jordan, Microsoft began defending its Activision deal against the FTC in court earlier this week wꦆith the goal♏ of convincing a federal judge not to grant the FTC a preliminary injunction that would delay the buyout's closing.

Like the UK's own antitrust authority – 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:which shock-blocked the deal in April – the FTC is concerned that Microsoft's $70b purchase of Activision Blizzard would harm competition if it were to proceed. If the judge decides to agree with the FTC andꦰ Microsoft's Activision purchase is slapped with an injunction and unable to proceed, however, it wouldn't necessarily mean the deal's over - it would just mean it can't go through until the FTC has a chance to fully review the details against US antitrust law.

However, Microsoft's lawyer Beth Wilkinson argued in court that a loss for Microsoft after this week-long hearꦬing could result in a "three-year administrative nightmare", and that could cause Microsoft to abandon the deal.

Here are our picks of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best Xbox Game Pass games.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> According to Xbox boss Phil Spencer, part of the reason Microsoft bought Bethesda and its parent company ZeniMax Media was out of fear that Sony might make 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Starfield a timed PS5 exclusive.

Shortly before Microsoft acquired ZeniMax and Bethesda, Sony secured timed exclusivity for games like Deathloop and Ghostwire: Tokyo. Those deals were honored even after the buyout went through, and it was a full year before either of those games came to Xbox, despite their developers becoming first-party Xbox studios. In the hearings over the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Activision deal, Spenc𒁃er confirmed that there were rumblings that the same thing might happen to Starfield.

“When we acquired ZeniMax one of the impetus for that is that Sony had done a deal for Deathloop and Ghostwire... to pay Bethesda to not ship those games on Xbox,” Spencer said in his testimony, as transcribed by . “So the discussion about Starfield when we heard that Starfield was potentially also going to end up skipping Xbox, we can’t be in a position as a third-place console where we🥃 fall further behind on our content ownership so we’ve had to secure content to remain viable in the business."

This effectively confirms reports that Sony was seeking timed Starfield exclusivity back൩ in 20ღ20, even in the months leading up to Microsoft's acquisition of ZeniMax and Bethesda. It seems the disgruntled gamers behind that silly 'make Starfield a 🍌PS5 exclusive' petition might🍌've gotten the🐟ir wish in an alternate reality.

Revelations from the hearings today have also included the fact that Xbox hasn't decided if The Elder Scrolls 6 will be an exclusive yet.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> If you've been waiting for some official statemಞent to mark the end of the last few console wars, the Federal Trade Commission has you covered, as the group has now declared the winners in the battles of Xbox 360 versus PS3 and Xbox One versus PS4.

In advance of this week's hearings on the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Activision deal, lawyers representing the FTC filed their proposed 'findings of fact' - a document that essentially lays out the 🍰facts of the case as the FTC 🔯understands them. The document lays out the history of the case, including some details on the years of competition between the gaming divisions of Sony and Microsoft.

The public version of the document, whi꧃ch we've reviewed, is heavily redacted to protect the trade secrets of the companies involved, but it has two particular notes that are extremely funny to see in an official court record. The FTC says that "in the United States, Microsoft won Generation 7 with the Xbox 360 pitted against the PlayStation 3," but adds that "Sony won Generation 8 with the PlayStation 4."

The FTC isn't specific about what metrics it's 💟using to talk about the 'winners' here, but it's almost certainly console sales. Publicly reported console sales numbers do indeed suggest that Xbox 360 beat PS3 in the console race in the US - though the PS3 narrowed the gap substantially in worldwide sales, and by some accounts, ended up ahead of 360 by the end of the generation. As far as PS4 and Xbox One, well… yeah, Sony won that one. There are no caveats there.

You'll note that Nintendo isn't mentioned anywhere here, and that's by design. This section of the FTC's findings of fact is headed "PlayStation and Xbox are Fierce Competitors, a🍃nd Nintendo is Differentiated," arguing that the Switch's hybrid nature, its reliance on first-party games, and its underpowered performance make it quite different from PS5 and Xbox Series X. The FTC estimates that the "Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 are at least 26 times (i.e., 2600%) more powerful" than the Switch.

In Microsoft's own proposed findings of fact, the company doesn't get so granular about who won each generation - instead, it says that "Xbox has consistently ranked third in consoles behind PlayStation and Nintendo," and argues that 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox "lost the console wars."

Essentially, Microsoft's arguments put the console wars as a three-way dance that it's losing, while the FTC's arguments say that Sony and Microsoft are in a closely contested head-to-head competition. Of course, those two perspectives line up with each side's belief on whether or not the Xbox Activision merger would be a major anticompetitive blow to the industry. The courts are going to have to weig🐟h in on one side or the other soon enough.

Microsoft expects the next generations of PlayStation and Xbox to launch around 2028.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Final Fantasy 16 fans are concerned that th🦹e game's epic boss fights are causing ♐their PS5s to overheat.

The sixteenth instalment in the world's most ironically named series is finally here, and the good news is it's, according to our 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Final Fantasy 16 review, "an experience that stands alongside the series' greats." The not-so-great news for fans eager to experience Clive's epic tale is that your PS5 could get awfully hot in the procꦯess.

Several Final Fantasy 16 fans on Twitter have said they've had issues with their PS5 overheating whilst they've been playing the latest entry in the iconic RPG series. User @TheSphereHu♔nter, who had access to the game a few days early, explained that thei🎶r PS5 switched itself off entirely after it got too hot during a boss battle.

User @JustSlaythe had a similar experience. "I also got the PS5 overheating during big fights in FF16," they tweeted. After opening up the console to see if it needed cleaning, t꧟hey found not a single spec of dust. "First gen PS5, maybe a design flaw somewhere," they said but added that "only this game does that though", which suggests that Final Fantasy 16 is the culprit, rather than the hardware itself.

That being said, user fixed the overheating issue with a spot of🌳 dusting, so it's worth trying if you're having similar issues. "I did a clean on my PS5 fan and it seems to have fixed my overheating problem꧙ with FF16," they wrote.

Lastly, user also experienced issues when playing the demo version of Final Fantasy 16. "I just had my first ever 'Your PS5 is too hot' 💃message," they wrote. "We're in a heatwave, but the thing is, this happened while the FFXVI demo was running."

It remains to be seen whether we'll see a surge of players experiencing overheating issues as the game makes its way to more PS5s, but its definitely worth making sure that your console is in a well-ventilated area aꩵnd is dust free if you're planning to delve into Valisthea this 🌠weekend.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> Microsoft reportedly expects t🐼he next Xbox console and the PS6 to launch sometime in 2028, according to newly revealed court documents.

As reports, Microsoft said during its first day in court with the FTC that the "expected starting period" for the next-generation of consoles to, well, start is 2028. If true, that would mean the current generation of consoles, w🧸hich includes the PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S, is expected to last about eight years.

Today's hearing is the first in the US Federal Trade Commission's attempt to file a preliminary injunction against Microsoft and Act🐼ivision, which would put the deal on pause while the FTC reviews its compliance with US antitrust law.

While the FTC lawsuit is undoubtedly the biggest hurdle Microsoft and Activision are currently facing, the road ahead is an uphill climb in other ways as well. For example, 澳洲幸运5开奖♌号码历史查询:th🐓e UK formally blocked the transaction back in April, with Microsoft and Activision expecte✅d to appeal the decision. Meanwhile, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:the EU approved the purchase in May, marking a significant but far from final victory for the two companies 🐷hoping to see the deal reach completion by the end of this monthꦜ.

Meanwhile, Sony has said it would withhold infor🃏mation about the PS6 from Activision if the Microsoft buyouಞt winds up going through𝄹. That would obviously mean that features unique to the next PlayStation would likely not be as thorough🌄ly incorporated into Activision games as they would be with publishers not owned by the console maker's main competitor.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> Microsoft says Xbox "lost the console wars."

Today marks the beginning of the🍨 US's Federal Trade Commission versus Microsoft case, as the latter battled the regulator to approve its attempted acquisition of Activision Blizzard King. In the process, Microsoft is keen to show🌊 Xbox is in third place, thus making it look less dominant in acquiring the company.

♉As part of this strategy though, Microsoft admits that Xbox "lost the console wars." As reported by , Xbox states that in 2021 it had just 16% of total console sales, and that same year, it had just 21% of the total console install base. We don't know whether this is just in the US, or around the world.

Unfortunately, Xbox redacts the parts where they reveal what shares Nintendo and PlayStation controlled of the overall console market. You've got to imagine the Nintendo Switch was beating the PS5 in 2021, considering the latter&ap𒅌os;s supply shortages at the time, but it'd stil꧃l be interesting to know by how much.

It's very curious for Xb𓆏ox to admit these figures out in public. The company obviously isn't afraid to make themselves look bad - and two years ago, at that - if it means securing their attempted acquisition of Activision🍌 Blizzard King.

It's also really, really funny. You can expect the console warriors will be out in full force over this comment, whether it's PlayStation fans going in on Xbox fans, or the latter trying to someh♒ow refute Microsoft's new comments and somehow bend those stats into reading better than they actually are.

This is clearly what Micro꧂soft thinks it's going to take to land them Activision Blizzard King, and the cost couldn't be higher.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> The group of random gamers suing Microsoft over the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Activision deal say they have "uncontroverted evidence" that Xbox wants to put P𝕴layStation ouౠt of business.

In an appeal filing revealed by , lawyers representing the "Gamer's Lawsuit" say that the court, which 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:previously dismissed the suit, "failed to consider uncontroverted evidence that Microsoft hꦍad the intention to put its main comp🐼etition, the Sony PlayStation, out of the market; and that this merger is a part of that strategy."

That evidence, apparently, consists of an internal email sent by Xbox Game Studios boss Matt Booty to Xbox's chief financial officer, Tim Stuart. In the public release of the filing the contents of that email, referred to as Exhibit K, have been redacted, as Microsoft characterizes it as an "internal exchange" that should not be shown outside of🥃 court.

The Gamer's Lawsuit has been kicking a🐽round since December 2022, and reached particularly notable heights as lawyers representing the gamers 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:asked Sony and Nintendo CEOs to come t🤡ཧestify. After the suit was dismissed earlier this year, it was 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:amended and refiled with a request that the court make a preliminar༒y injunction against the deal - that .

This is all separate to the FTC's effort to bl𒁃oc🐟k the Xbox Activision merger, which is broadly considered quite a bit more serious than the Gamer's Lawsuit. That's on top of the UK's CMꦚA blocking the purchase earlier this year, a move 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox is set to appeal.

There will surely be no shortage of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:upcoming Xbox Series X games regardless of whether the deal goes through.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> I don't know that I've ever seen a sensible video game petition, but this 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Starfield one is dumb en♑🌊ough that people are signing it just to dunk on its original creator.

At time of writing, around 2,200 people have signed a petition demanding Bethesda "Make Starfield a PS5 EXCLUSIVE!!!!" In a bizarre diatriဣbe that calls for PS5 exclusivity whil꧑e simultaneously decrying Xbox exclusivity, the petition also suggests using political pressure to get Starfield on PlayStation, protests at video game stores, and the pre-emptive cancellation of Microsoft-friendly content creators.

The chance that this is some weird prank is pretty high, because this rant speaks to next to zero understanding of how video games are made or how the companies that make them operate. There's still the possibility, however, that this pꩵetitioner is being deadly serious, and that's brought out several signatures from people simply looking t𒊎o tell them how dumb they're being.

On Change.org, you can only comment under a petition once you&🐼apos;ve signed it, and I'm yet to see a single comment in support of some sudden swing to PlayStation. The most sympathetic messages suggest that no exclusivity is the way to go, but the vast majority are some reflection on either 'this is delusional' or 'touch grass'. Many opt for both.

澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Starfield isn't coming to PS4 or PS5, because Bethesda is now a Microsoft studio and god knows Xbox needs some wins from its first-party offerings right now. Personally, I'll be winning by playing Starfield on PC, where I won't even have to worry about 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:the whole 30 fps debacle

Perhaps this is the same person behind Starfield's already-negative Metacritic reviews.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> PlayStation was sure it would retain Call of Duty ♓simply because oꦜf Sony's presence.

New comments from PlayStation head Jim Ryan were uncovered by reporter Florian Mueller, and 🐓they paint a pretty confident picture of the company. Ryan was apparently confident PlayStation would still get Call of Duty releases even if Microsoft's purchase of Activision Blizzard proceeded, purely because of Sony's dominance on the gaming scene.

It's pretty hard to argue with Ryan's stance here - just look at the extent to which the PS5 is currently outselling the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Series X and S around the world as proof of PlayStation🔴's unavoid⛎able presence in gaming.

Ryan's comments are perhaps a little less of a "bombshell" considering Microsoft literally offered to put Call of Duty on Pl💟ayStation devices for a deca꧒de. Microsoft was offering 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:damn near anyone a 10-year deal for Call of Duty-related things like game streaming and clou🍌d technology, but their offer to put the franchise on PlayStation for a decade was by far the most noteworthy.

In actual fact, this is the deal that PlayStation and Ryan weren't satisfied with. PlayStation ▨reportedly turned down the deꦉal from Microsoft, and so Ryan&ap🌞os;s new comments seem to imply that PlayStation was sure it would retain Call of Duty even after they'd turned down the initial decade-long offer from Microsoft. That's a very, very confident stance from PlayStation.

Don't forget, we're still getting a new Call of Duty game this year, according to Summer Game Fest host Geoff Keighley.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> All upcoming 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Game Studios titles are now in development exclusively for the current-gen Xbo𓆉x Series X, Microsoft has confirmed.

"We’ve moved on to gen 9," Xbox Game Studios head Matt Booty tells , referring to 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Series X and S. Booty confirms that outside of꧟ support for older ongoing titles like Minecraft, first-party development on Xbox One is done. Instead, Microsoft plans to "maintain support" ღfor the older platform purely through cloud gaming options, which do allow you to play Series X games on Xbox One.

Prior to this, almost every first-party Xbox Series X game has also launched on 🔯Xbox One, from Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 5 to Grounded and Minecraft Legends. The most notable exception is Microsoft Flight Simulator, a game that pushed even the most high-end PCs to their absolute limits. Microsoft still has a less powerful piece of hardware to scale its games back for with Series S, but it seems current-gen games will soon have a lot more room to meet their next-gen potential.

The transition between generations has been a particularly slow one this time around, and not just for Xbox. Even first-party graphical showpieces on PS5, like God of War Ragnarok and Horizon Forbidden West, have launched with PS4 versions, too. Whether due to the years-long supply shortages for both consoles or some other reason, many studios - both first and third-party - have kept the old-gen alive much long✨er than usual.

There is, of course, a cost for next-gen ambitions - development time. Booty acknowledges that modern triple-A game development cycles, which used to be two or three year🌟s, are ballooning to "four and five and six year" timelines. "There are higher expectations. The level of fidelity that we're able to deliver just goes up."

These are the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:upcoming Xbox Series X games you should know about.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> You might not have caught the release of the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 4. It's been a far smaller show than the brand has put on for its higher-grade models, but now that the $119.99 headset is out in the wild (in the US at least), it's set to take over from previous budget wireless picks. We love the Nova line, from its high quality audio to its comfortable form factor, but to squeeze all that performance down into the price tag of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Arctis 1 Wireless is no mean feat.

I have big hopes for this device - after all, it sits within the same range as the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best gaming headset on the market right now. With both the Nova꧂ 4 and Nova 4 X (the best model for console compatibility) in hand, I spent two weeks testing the new𓆏 middle child to see exactly what $120 can get you from SteelSeries.

Design

 • Plastic build but excellent construction
 • Particularly comfortable form factor
 • All-black aesthetic apart from green stripes on Series X version

While the premium 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wi﷽reless, and the cheaper 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Arctis Nova 7, both pretty things up with a metal headband, the Nova 4 is a decidedly plastic affair. That's not to say it feels cheap in the hand, though. On the contrary, I was particularly impressed with the smaller details here. A matte, almost rubbery, plastic surface adorns the side of each cup providing extra grip when removing and also avoiding fingerprint s🌃mudges as well.

SteelSeries Arctis Nova 4 cups close up on rubbery surface

You'ඣve still got that classis ski-goggle headband design, but there's an even grippier rubber texture underneath the main band to keep everything secure in place once it's on the head as well. That, combined with the lower weight of an all-plastic chassis, makes this a particularly comfortable device to use even over longer sessions.

That's also down to the generous earcup padding. A soft breathable mesh fabric covers nicely 💮chunky cups on each side, sitting around the ear and hugging with just the right level of clamp. That means no pinching around the tips of the ears - something I've come to expect from cheaper cups without an extendꦰed oval shape.

SteelSeries Arctis Nova 4 headset showing cup cushioning and ski goggle headband

While plastic in nature, I 🌞would trust the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 4 to take a beating. There's a nice level of flex to the headband itself, and a full arch socket holding each cup in place (unlike the half arch used in the Nova 7). Even the headband adjustment system feels locked in tight, taking considerable force to slide in and out of place. Throw in the retractable microphone and the fact that each cup swivels to flat and you've got a particularly portable set of headphones.

Everything sits 𓆏within that black aesthetic, save for the green pattern adorning the Xbox version's headband, while two silver SteelSeries𓆏 logos sit on each cup side.

Features

 • No Bluetooth connection support
 • Same 40mm Nova drivers as far more expensive models
 • Xbox model is compatible with all major platforms

The🌼 SteelSeries Arctis Nova 4 keeps things lean in terms of its features. The biggest clue to that ethos is the lack of Bluetooth connectivity. More and more gaming headsets are turning back to Bluetooth these days (alongside the faster 2.4GHz connection), in order to allow for dual-connectivity and greater compatibility across mobile.

Removing the Bluetooth module from the Nova 4 has certainly kept things light, but it's going to disappoint anyone looking to ditch the larger USB-C dongle. If you're playing primarily on PC, PS5, or Xbox Series X, that's not going to be a major issue. However, those on the hunt for a 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Nintendo Switch headset could struggle. The 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Razer Barracuda X is currently our favorite device for the Switch, and offers Bluetooth for around $20 les🍒s than SteelSeries' option.

That, combined with a reduced 36 hour battery life compared to꧃ the Barracuda X's 50 means this isn't goingꦜ to be a popular pick for Ninty fans. However, the boxes SteelSeries has ticked are delivered particularly well.

The 40mm Nova Acoustic System has plenty going for it - this ne♛w generation of drivers has been powering the entire range of SteelSeries' latest headsets and absolutely shines. It's great to see it implemented this far down the price scale, even if there are a few cut backs in the tech.

SteelSeries Arctis Nova 4 controls on cups

The main body of the headset is lined with a refined set of controls. The Xbox version sports power and chat mix controls on the right cup, with volume and a mic mute button on the left. The PC model drops this chat mix dial, but retain𝐆s button placement elsewhere. That's a Goldilocks level of on-board controls, everythin⛎g you generally need is well within reach, without confusing things with clustered dials and buttons.

Like many gaming headsets, the Xbox version of the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 4 offers the best all-round compatibility - simply for the reason that it's ablౠe to hit all consoles as well as PC with ease.

SteelSeries Arctis Nova 4 on headset stand showing mic extended

There are some smaller details worth calling out here. I particularly enjoyed the retractable microphone, for example. I'm constantly losing detachable mics, so being able to neatly house the mic arm inside the headset itself was a godsend. Adding a small LED to the mic itself to indicate that it's muted was also a nice touch here, tho꧅ugh an automatic mute when it's placed back into its house would have been appreciated.

Performance

 • Less powerful but far more detailed bass compared to competition
 • More emphasis on higher ranges
 • Directional audio beats others in this price point

Audio quality is certainly impressive compared to the $100-ish headsets we saw on the shelves just a few years ago. This is a much richer sound profile than that of the Arctis 1 Wireless, for example, but it still sounds a little flatter than contemporary models within this price range. Personally, I prefer the more energetic quality of the Razer Barracuda X, offering a more rounded mid-range and slightly more oomph in the lower reg📖ions as well. That's after back to back sessions directly comparing both sets, though - standing by itself this soundstage is still impressive.

The bass, while slightly less powerful, is certainly more detailed. There's p🌞lenty of room for gunshots to breathe, with not only the impact of the initial shot but attention also being paid to the resulting aftershocks, echoes, and reloads. Diving into the SteelSeries Engi🧔ne to tweak these bass settings was a blast, though, with an easily navigable EQ panel and plenty of controls at my finger tips.

SteelSeries GG software

The Arctis 4 also feels like it reaches further into the higher ranges than the Barracuda X. Armour pickups in Doom Eternal clanged with a parti🌄cularly satisfyingly sound effect, and the lighter swirling soundtrack of High on Life held its own crystal clear quality as well.

The microphone isn't all that great. There was a considerable amount of pop in♑ my testing, and audio q♏uality sounded particularly flattened. It's by no means ready for your Twitch stream, but will see you through for more casual chat sessions.

Directional audio is middling, there's a nice definition between sounds that works to the Nova 4's advantage is sparser landscapes. However, the frenzies of Doom Eternal put that precision to the test, with muddled cues and reduced accuracy overall. In general every🎃day use, though, it still provided slightly more information than the Barracuda X.

Should you buy the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 4?

SteelSeries Arctis Nova 4 gaming headset

Taken in isolation, the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 4 is an impressive headset. There's excellent comfort and overall audio quality up for grabs here, with some extra special attention to detail paid to smaller quality of life features. At $119.99, it feels well-priced, though I would heavily recommend grabbing the Nova 4X model over the straight 4 for that extra 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Series X headset compatibility.

The problem is the Arctis Nova 4 doesn't exist in a vacuum. It's got plenty of competition in the Razer Barracuda X and it doesn't quite tip the scales. Dropping Bluetooth connectivity, gesture controls, and battery life, the Nova 4 doesn't match up to the Barracuda X's price proposition - which is especially disa♕ppointing considering Razer's model comes in $20 cheaper.

I would argue that the audio quality is better geared towards those who prefer an even spread across the soundstage, but if you do prefer a touch more bass the Barracuda X is going to clinch it again. However, the directional audio quality of the Nova 4 does improve on R🙈azer's entry, so competitive players may be better served by SteelSeries.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> Update: Square Enix has confirmed what we suspected: Final Fantasy 7 Rebir💛th isn't launching on PS4.

For some context, there was some confusion last week when folks on social media noticed the PS4 logo on the official website for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, which Square Enix had previously said would be new-gen exclusive. Even at the time, we were fairly confid🦂ent the logo had simply been added to the webpage in error, but now we have confirmation straight from Square Enix.

In an email to GamesRadar+, Square Enix said the website had been updated to include only the PS5 logo, which we've been told is the "correct release information." Looking꧟ at now, the only platform listed is indeed PS5, putting this particular issue to bed.

Original story follows...

The official 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth website suggests the sequel could be a cross๊-gen release for both PS5 and PS4, but the information was almost certainly published in error.

As the ever-watchful eye of spotted following 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Final Fantasy 7✃ Rebirth's delay announcement during 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest 2023, Square Enix's official website for the sequel says "PS5/PS4" near the bottom of the page. The studio previously confirmed 🌟the game to be exclusive to the PS5 due to its "graphical quality" as well as the🍃 new-gen machine's "SSD access speed," so it's surprising to see it casually listed for PS🅰4.

We've reached out to Square Enix for confirmation, but we're expecting to hear that the language on the website is the result of a goof-up. While Final Fantasy 7 remake was a cross-gen🐈 release, the spruced-up Intergrade release is a PS5 console exclusive. That coupled with Square Enix's unambiguous previous confirmation that Rebirth is PS5 exclusive suggests the website isn't correct.

It was revealed today that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is now due to launch sometime in early 2024 and will come packaged in two discs - yet a👍nother blow to our suffering hard drives in an already gigabyte hunꦡgry year.

The good news is that the new trailer is stunning, debuting new🌠 pꦬarty members like Red XIII and Yuffie and showing off some truly spectacular exterior locations that look a lot more open compared to the relatively tight confines of Midgar from the first remake. That lines with what Square Enix has said will be a more open-world structure compared to Rebirth's predecessor.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is just one of many 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:upcoming PS5 games we can't wait to get our hands on.

In these you'll be going head-to-head with Merryweather Security, the infamous private military company, to shut down their corrupt practices and prevent them from driving all criminal competition out of San Andreas. Expect plenty of explosive set pieces, as Merryweather won't go down without a fight, especially in the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:GTA Online On Parade mission where you need to defeat one of their Avengers using the new F-160 R❀aiju jet.

The GTA Online San Andreas Mercenaries update is heavily focused on aircraft, and the main area of development is with the Mammoth Avenger. You'll work with Charlie to convert this huge aircraft into an ae💞rial command center, from which you can run operations and upgrade weapon systems. This will also unlock fresh ventures to expand your criminal empire, including attacking high-value moving targets to steal cash and supplies.

Fresh vehicles are on their way

Some future arrivals have also been leaked, including the Bravado Buffalo EVX which appears to be an electric muscle car and is bound to divide opinion amongst players. However, on the flip side there have also been almost 200 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:cars removed from GTA Online as part of "experience 🎀improvements," which a lot of players are unhappy about.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Playstation-plus ]]> Launched earlier this year on PC, Company of Heroes 3 is out now on PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles. It's celebrating the occasion with a new action-heavy trailer at the Future Games Show Summer Showcase Powered by I♕ntel.

Showcasing everything we've come to expect from Relic Entertainment and Sega on the digital battlefield, this 🍃glimpse at the Company of Heroes 3 Console Edition is fast and furious throughout its breakneck delivery of cinematic and in-game footage alike. Set across Italy and North Africa during WW2, expect sand-swept theaters of war, and quaint backwater town battlegrounds – each of which you'll flood with trigger-happy troops, and raze to the ground in your bid for victory.

Unlike its PC counterpart, the Company of Heroes 3 Console Edition rebuilds the game's control scheme from the ground up, delivering new and int𒁏uitive UI options that best suit the control pad-in-hand experience. As outlined in the trailer above, the action never stops in the throes of a firefight, meaning you'll need to be on the ball from start to finish. To this end, Company of Heroes 3's new 'Command Wheel' and 'Full Tactical Pause' are designed to help yo✱u stay in the (war)zone, while also offering scant moments of reprieve to take stock, and quickly execute your next deadly move.

In essence, while real-time strategy games are synonymous with PC gaming, the Company of🦩 Heroes 3 Console Edition sets new standards in enlisting console players into the genre. Grab your helmet, your rifle, and, of course, your control pad, and storm the battlefield with Company of Heroes 3 on PS5𓃲 and Xbox Series X right now.
