<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Mojang ]]> //344567.top 2025-06-05T10:50:54Z en <![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Mojang ]]> The worst time to lose a race has got to be right at the finish line. Imagine getting right to the End, everything's gone swimmingly, and then you fall at the last hurdle. That's what happened to speedrunner "skycrab1," who missed out on a world record Minecraft run because an Enderm🎶an killed them mere frames before the credits 🍬rolled.

As most of you know, each Minecraft world you generate is based on a random seed, meanin﷽g it's almost impossible to get two worlds that are the same through sheer chance. As such, it's difficult to properly plan each speedrun attempt, as you need꧙ lots of things to go right immediately.

For skycrab1, they did.

ꦍThey spawned by a ruined portal and a village, meaning they couꦿld quickly grab the tools and Obsidian they needed to head to the Nether. They then quickly found the Bastion and Fortress required to get Ender Pearls and Blaze Rods to make Eyes of Ender, and rushed to the End Portal.

In they went, ascending skyward to kill the Ender Dragon with exploding beds,꧑ an old tr♓ick.

It all went perfectly, they were on track to become the first person to ever beat a random seed in Minecraft in u🅺nder seven minutes. But, as they dropped back down to the ground with just half a heart of 𒁏health remaining, waiting for the portal to transport them into the end credits, an Enderman teleported behind them and killed them. Skycrab1's world record victory was gone, and they let out a scream as it happened.

So, what went wrong?

"When the pearl landed at 5:49, he looked at an enderman for 15 frames (nine of which were in the crafting menu)," explains one commenter. "15 frames = 0.25 seconds. It takes an enderman 0.25 seconds to aggro at the plaꦬyer. If he was in the crafting menu for one less frame, or 0.017 seconds less, this would've been the world record. Also, if his crosshair was four pixels to the right, this would've been the world record. It's literally divine intervention."

The community is devastated by this loss. "This is the most depressing thing I've ever seen in my life," writes one person.🥀 "I keep rewatching, hoping one time he doesn't die," states another.

Others believe skycrab1 should keep trying. "I'm so incredibly shocked at this run. You shattered every single split record and even killed the dragon. If this isn't proof of you deserving the world record the most, then I don't know what is. Keep your head ಞup."

Despite getting in🃏to the End the fastest and even killing the Ender Dragon the fastest, the elusive sub-seven-minute world record still remains tantalizingly out of reach.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Mojang ]]> A 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Super Mario 64 fan has managed to recreate Minecrafꦫt into the Nintendo 64 game that was released 15 years prior – and it's possible to play it on an actual N64.

Despite being almost 30 years old, Super Mario 64 still has one of the most enduring fan bases of any game. It's one of the澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询: biggest speedrunning games of all time, and despite being one of the first ever made, I'd argue it's still the best 3D platformer ever made (or at least the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best Mario game). Fans are still so involved with it that this past week, they 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:discovered a hidden sound effect in the game that r🍰equires the console to be on for 14 months stra🅺ight.

And as it turns out, some fans love Mario 64 so much that they're porting other games into it, as seen 🏅by Mario 64 hacker Arthurtilly, who has ported Minecraft to the game with the building and world generation system ripped straight from it. Arthurtilly posts a video to their showing it off, saying, "This is a showcase of a Minecraft voxel engine I developed completely within the SM64 engine and can run on a real Nintendo 64 console. It uses multithreading to be able to seamlessly generate terrain and meshes over multiple frames without causing ๊any lag."

In the video, we can see 64-bit Mario running around a land made up of squares, with the ability to destroy and place blocks at the push of a button (it's instant, much like in creative mode). But alongside that, the video shows off multiple biomes based ꦡon the tilesets of the original game, including the very cute detail that the music changes depending on the biome (so, Bob-Omb Battlefield for grass, Dire Dire Docks for underwater, and so on). Currently,ꦗ Mario seems to be only able to drop block and slab pieces, so the full breadth of Minecraft isn't available yet, but there's still enough to get creative with.

However, what may seem like a cool tech demo is actually a full-blown project for Arthurtilly, who says in the video's description that they are working on more features like flowing water and lava, a proper lighting system with a day/night cycle, terrain features such as trees and vegetation "to make the world more lively," and even an inventory system.𒈔 At the moment, Arthurtilly hasn't released the mod, but it's certainly something to keep your eyes on.

If you ask me, Mario 64 is the cream of the crop, but you should check out our list of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best N64 games of all time to see where it lands.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Mojang ]]> 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Minecraft's latest snapshot beta introduces the option to chain boats together with a series of leads, and now fans are reuniting in a demand many of the𝓀m have been making for years: we really should be able to link minecarts together to build proper trains.

In the , which went live yesterday, the devs have implemented array of changes to how leashes work. Most not🔜ably, you can now leash multiple mobs together, letting you take your pets for a walk all at once. What developer Mojang didn't explicitly call out in this announcement is that you can also now leash boats togeไther.

The 🍒possibilities of boat-leashing quickly became clear to players. "YOU CAN MAKE TRAINS IN MINECRAFT NOW," as a from Minecraft creator silentwisperer putsꦕ it. "PLEASE MOJANG LET US DO THIS WITH MINECARTS!"

Being able to leash minecarts together would essentially let you create proper trains which, somehow, Minecraft has never allowed before. At least, not properly – you could technically put small minecart trains together with furnaces in Java Edition, but these constructions were always a little buggy, and the feaไture has effectively been abandoned by Mojang.

Requests to be able to leash minecarts together have been going since the leash mechanics in 1.21, and the new sho⛄wcase of boats getting leashed together has gotten the community onc༺e again demanding the feature .

"Trust us Mojang," a slightly ominous comment on t🍬hat post says. "We NEED this."

Mojang says Minecraft 2 isn't going to happen because it'd be like getting an "Earth 2," but the studio hopes the OG sandbox game stays relevant "at least 15 years more."

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Mojang ]]> Standing the test of time as one of the most iconic games ever made, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Mojang's sandbox gem 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Minecraft has recently returned to the limelight thanks to its live-action film and the accompanying infamous chicken jockey scene – a scene players can now recrౠeate in🦋-game.

There's been no shortage of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Minecraft mods related to the movie since its release, from the add-on that puts Jack Black's Steve voice into the game to a mind-bogglingly💖 film-accurate skin referencing the chicken jockey scene. As advertised in a recent post, said skin looks pretty much exactly like the movie's baby zombie 🍰riding a chicken in a fighting ring, from the expressions to the film's version of Minecraft's beloved blocky style.

Commenters seem to love it, too, with many writing that it's "awesome." The chicken jockey skin isn't the only fan creation to feature the scene from A Minecraft Movie, a scene that's seen people bringing literal live birds to movie theaters, either. One new mod on , aptly dubbed "Chicken 💫Jockey," is described by creator ꦦAvatarKage as making "baby zombies seek out nearby chickens so they can become jockeys."

Elsewhere, fans are posting video guides on detailing how players can become chicken jockeys themselves – by simply using commands, apparently. If all of that's not enough, though, there's also a chicken jockey resource pack on ♍that makes Minecraft's chickens, zombies, and baby zombies "look more like they do in the movie." In other words, there are plenty of ways to turn the game into a chicken jockey-fueled nightmare.

The scene has been causing plenty of chaos outside of the game, too – so much so, in fact, that film director Jared Hess has 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:responded to viewers' reactions in cinemas himself, saying that watching them has been "a total blast." It's certainly been… an experience, to say the least, as a Minecraft fan watching everything unfold from the outside, but it's always nice to see the community's creativity shine through mods, skins, and more.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Mojang ]]> The developer of Minecraft♎ has warned players aboutꦐ an issue with installing the game's latest update on PC via the Xbox app and says worlds could be lost.

On March 15, Mojang released a PSA for Minecraft players, telling them not to update the sandbox game through the Xbox 📖app on PC: "If you do, your worlds may be lost," the devel🌸oper shares to its service status Twitter account. "We recommend that you run the Gaming Services Repair Tool for PC before installing the Minecraft update."

If you head over to the , you'll find more information on the issuඣe. Alongside other known issues this month, you'll find info on the Minecraft update problem. As Mojang has already said, Xbox also recommends using the Gaming Services Repair Tool for PC, which will update to version 19.87.13001.0 and avoid the update erroꦍr - keeping your worlds safe and sound.

To find this, head over to the Xbox app (on PC), select your Profile picture, choose 'Support,' 'Gaming Services Re꧅pair Tool,' and allow it to 'Start Troubleshooting.' It's a pretty easy fix for the issue but one that has potentially devastating consequences if missed. Here's hoping a more permanent fix is currently in the works.

Minecraft's most recent update (ver. ) was rolled out 🐓on March 12 and made several changes including giving Wolves dou💙ble the amount of health they used to, adding a new variant of Skeletons that shoot poisonous arrows, allowing players to use Wind Charge to fire off a Wind Charge projectile, and much more.

Earlier this week, the artist behind Minecraft's iconic paintings♉ shared the ⛎original artwork that was used for the game 14 years ago. Kristoffer Zetterstrand not only shared the original PNGs but also revealed how they got involved in the "little weird indie hobby game" all those years ago.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Mojang ]]> This chilled base-b♐uilder feels like Minecraft from another universe, and it's already got nea👍r-perfect reviews.

Outpath is an "experimental" clicker base-build🙈ing game where players craft, gather and manage resources, build their base, and buy islands to expand. Interestingly, this base-builder encourages players to play at their own pace and style▨ as there are no time limits or additional pressure.

Some of the game's other features include fishing, parkour movements, reactive 𝄹music that changes depending on your actions, and more. If that wasn't appealing enough, it also has a touch of Mojang's Minecraft about it with its blocky, 3D visuals.

The cozy-feelin🐭g game was only released a couple of days ago, on October 16, but it's already manageﷺd to amass a 'very positive' review rating on , with 99% of its 327 reviews being positive ones.

A look at the reviews reveals that players see it as "Forager in 3D" - which probably isn't a coincidence considering it's one of the developer's influences along with simulation game Satisfactory and idle game-style gameplay. Other players have prais☂ed Outpath's relaxing vibes and simple but inviting gameplay.

Speaking of Outpath's developer, there really is just one person behind this game and it's 23-year-old David Moralejo. The game's designer has been sharing their reaction to Outpath's positive reviews on , thanking fans for leaving feedback on Steam: "I think it's the first time I saw something like this, 100% positive in 155 reviews in a g꧑ame. Thank you!" - which feels very wholesome.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Mojang ]]> The popular and everlasting Minecraft has achieved something that no other video game has done: Mojang's sandbox exploration and building game is now the first video game in history to sell over 300 million copies.

Ahead of its 15th anniversary next year, developer Mojang announced in a that Minecraft, which has steadily grown in massive popularity for over a decade, has s𝔉old over🏅 300 million copies (digital and physical editions combined). The developers also shared new data about player activity, such as stats showing that an average of 15 million skeletons are slayed daily, and an average 6.7 million diamonds are found each day.

"Just recently we also crossed 300 million copies sold, a milestone no one could have dreamed of when we were all building our first dirt houses," Mojang developer Sophie Austin says. "I hope there'll be cake to celebrate our wonderful community, and our soon-to-be 15 years mining, crafting, and respawning together."

This achievement is extra significant because Minecraft is the first solo video game release - not including expanded editions or other iterations - to have sold this amount. The only other game that has come close to Minecraft is Rockstar Games&aඣpos; Grand Theft Auto 5, currently sitting at over 185 million copies, which has also grown in popularity in the decade since its release.

For further comparison, the best-selling Mario game of all time is the original NES Super Mario Bros., which is sitting at just under 60 million copies sold. The best-selling Switch game is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe at 55.46 million.

From its debut in 2009, as an early access release before early access became more widely used by devs, Minecraft has grown into a major cross-media franchise. Following Microsoft's purchase of developer Mojang and Minecraft in 2014, the Minecraft franchise has expanded in larger ways. Along with the video game, there's now 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:a Minecraft movie starring Jason Mamoa on the way. The 2025 movie will be directed by Napoleon Dynamite creator Jared Hess, and written by Rob McElhenney of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia fame.

Minecraft continues to receive regular updates and content drops, with 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:a꧃ new Star Wars-themed update on the way and finally coming soon. The game's success is largely due to its wide appeal across age groups, with children and adults alike able to dive into Minecraft's procedurally generated worlds in solo or co-op play. It also became a popular hangout among streamers over the last decade, which helped propel Minecraft to larger popularity.

The Minecraft mob vote candidates for 2023 are in, and it seemed like an actual fight until somebody said "dog armor."

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Mojang ]]> Sony has said it would have to withhold information about a PlayStation 6 from Activision if it was acquired by Micros𒁃🎐oft.

In a new deposition to the US Federal Trade Commission on the matter of Microsoft's acquisition of Activision B🎉lizzard, PlayStation's Jim Ryan made the comments seen below. In short, Ryan says that if Activision w𒐪as to become a Microsoft-owned company, it would force PlayStation to keep PS6 information away from the publisher.

According to Ryan, PlayStation working with Mojang, the Microsoft-owned developer who makes Mine𒅌craft, actually supports this concern. Because of the redacted nature of the comment, however, there's no real way to work out how PlayStation's work with Mojang supports Ryan's new concerns over Microsoft buyi❀ng Activision.

As Axios reporter Stephen Totilo recalls in another , Ryan previously stated in December 2022 that Sony had collaborated with Activision on technical features for Call of Duty. The redactions from Ryan's deposition means we don't know what features these are, but it's easy to imagine it being something revolving around the DualSen🧜se's adaptive triggers, for example.

Th🧸is could mean, if Microsoft acquires Activision, that Activision-published games would have less features designed specifically around PlayStation hardware. That's essentially what Ryan's getting at here, although whether that's actually true, or whether Ryan's presenting this as a hypothetical purely to get the merger cancelled is another matter entirely.

This all comes after the FTC re🅺commended blocking Microsoft&apoღs;s acquisition of Activision Blizzard King earlier this month. Bot🀅h Microsoft and Activision Blizzard King said at the time that they plan on appealing the ruling, but for now at least, the potential acqu🐻isition looks incredibly unlikely to be allowed to proceed by the US regulator.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Mojang ]]> Minecraft's Trails and Tales up🔴date is out next month on June 7.

Earlier this month, we reported that the huge Minecraft🥃 1.20 update seemed n🌟early ready for launch, with developer Mojang pos🤡ting neౠw screenshots of the version. Now those theories have come to pass, as it turns out the mighty Trails and Tales update will be out in just a few week's time from now on June 7 on all platforms.

Minecraft's 1.20 update and the Trails and Tales update are one and the s♋ame. Trails and Tales is just the subtitle Mojang has doled out for this beefy new update, so don't go thinking Trails and Tales is act🅷ually an in-game feature or mode for Minecraft.

Headlining the new update is the Archaeology feature. You'll be able to dig up hidden tools, bones, sniffer eggs, and pottery sherds, and if you put four of the sherds together, you'll craft one seamless pot with its ve𓂃ry own patterning, that actually tells a story.

Camels are debuting with the 1.20 upda꧑te, and as are Sniffers. The former can be found in herds and꧃ used to dash around a map with ease, while the latter has been introduced thanks to a fan-vote last year in 2022, joining the game to sniff out ancient seeds.

T🌌here's also 💜the brilliant cherry groves offering full-pink wood sets, and 16 total armor trims to find, each of which can be used to give your armor a more personalized look. That's quite the feature list for the Trails and Tales update, especially in a game that's been going for so long as Minecraft.

Elsewhere in new things for Minecraft, we've still got the Dungeons and Dragons mode to look forward to, which promises a huge 10-hour campaign with branching narratives.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Mojang ]]> 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Minecraft 1.20, also known as the Trail꧅s and Tales update, is looking set to come out very soon, as developer Mojang is starting to launch ♏pre-release snapshots of the update.

Minecraft has a bit of an idiosyncratic patch release cycle, if you're not familiar with it. Major updates like 1.20 typically get previewed in 'snapshots' - beta versions of the patch made available to any 🐈Minecraft: Java Edition players who want to try out new features early. We typically get new snapshots la🎃unching weekly for several months, each of which will add a handful of new features debuting in the upcoming update.

Once the snapshots are done, we get pre-releases, which signify when the developers are done adding new features and are making final tweaks and bug fixes. That's where we're at now, as Minecraft 1.20 pre-release 1 has just gone live. You can see the patch notes for yourself on the , but they're pretty dry and technical - maybe the most notable thing is that a nearly 11-year-old bug has been fixed, the latest in a 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:chain of fixes for ancient glitches.

Pre-releases continue until the major bugs are stamped out, and then we get release candidates, which are the final test versions that make sure there are no major issues before the actual update goes live. The gap between the first pre-release and the final launch of the update is typically pretty short. It was just 🦋under three weeks between the first pre-release and the proper launch of the 1.19 update for example.

This is all a very long-winded way of saying: Minecraft 1.20 is likely to launch across all versions of the game within the next month. It could be longer if Mojang dis🉐covers some major technical problems at the last minute, but precedent suggests that we'll be diving into Trails and Tales by early June.

Minecraft 1.20 has a load of new features in store, including things like 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:archaeology, a 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:cherry blossom biome, an 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:armor customization system, and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:the Sniffer.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Mojang ]]> Knowing how to invite friends to Minecraft Dungeons means you can form a squad with up to three buddies, to take on daring adventure missions together. Let's face it, anything Minecr♛aft-related is always more fun to do with friends, and this is no different. Having one or more partner by your side can also make things considerably easier, as it means you don't have to battle hordes of enemies or tough bosses on your own. If that sound💮s like a good time, then here's how you invite friends to Minecraft Dungeons and form a party.

How to invite Minecraft Dungeons friends

Switching to Online Game on the Minecraft Dungeons hero select screen

To invite friends to Minecraft Dungeons, you need to go to the main menu – aka the hero selection screen – then follow the prompt in the bottom left corner of the screen to set your session to Online Game. When you then choose to Play Online, you'll see a list of any Game Sessions already running that you can joi🌃n, along with a 🐓list of Friends who you can invite to join you.

If there's nobody around that you want to connect with just yet, then you can choose to Start Online Game to begin on your own, with the additional option to make it a Private Game if you don't want anyone joining you without an invit🍸ation. Once you're in the game, you can follow the Friends prompt in the top right corner of the screen to bring up the same online menu again, to invite friends to Minecraft Dungeons or join another session. Note that in order to access the menu in-game, you need to have started an Online Game from the main menu, as if you opt for an Offline Game instead then the only options you'll see in the Friends menu are for local multiplayer.

Some players have reported issues when trying to invite friends to Minecraft Dungeons before completing the initial tutorial mission, so if you haven't done that and reached the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Minecraft Dungeons camp for the first time then you may need to play through it so that invites will work correctly. The tutorial doesn't take long and will give you a good introduction to the game, so it's definitely worth doing! You should also bear in mind that crossplatform play is enabled by default, which could make it harder for friends to find your session if you're on the same system, so if you encounter any difficultiꦜes connecting to friends on a matching platform then try turning off that option in the Settings menu.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Mojang ]]> 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Minecraft's archaeology feature has been on hiatus for years now, but the devs at Mojang have finally confirmed that it's set to land as part o✤f the 1.20 uꦏpdate.

Archaeology was for the Caves & Cliffs update back in 2020, but in the wake of the update's delays and its split into two parts, the devs that some features - like archaeology - had "been put on hold," though they had definitely "not been canceled" and were "going to Minecraft in t𝔉he future when we’re able to add them in the best possible way."

The future is 2023, it seems, as Mojang has that archaeology is set to launch as part of the 1.20 update later this year. If you want to try it out before that proper launch, th♚e fea♒ture will be available to test in snapshots and beta previews "very soon."

In its current iteration, archaeology hinges on a new block💛 called suspicious sand. You'll be able to use a new tool - th🔜e brush - to uncover what hides inside those blocks. The rewards can include random items, as well as pottery shards, which can sport many individual patterns. Combine four shards of your choice together and you get a nifty pot with a custom design.

The devs are drip-feeding information what to expect from Minecraft 1.20, but the update will bring us highly anticipated 澳洲ꦍ幸运5开奖号码历史查询:new f𓆉eatures like the armor trim system.

A recent snapshot also confirmed that one of Minecraft's most infamous bugs has been fixed - only a decade late.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Mojang ]]> The Xbox Developer Direct livestream is done and dusted! It delivered chunky updates on four of Microsoft&apo🍒s;s key titles - plus a little surprise that yo༺u can play later today.

Here's a rec💯ap of everything announce🌌d at the Xbox Developer Direct:

Starfield however is getting it's own standalone showcase at a later date, t🍸o allow Microsoft and Bethesda "to dedicate the proper amount of time for a deep dive". So basically don't expect to see it this evening... unless perhaps to annou🐈nce the date for said deep dive.

We're just an hour away from the Developer_Direct, so let's run down the fouℱr games ജthat are definitely making an appearance, shall we?

ELDER SCROLLS ONLINE

Elder Scrolls Online screenshot

Let's start with The Elder Scrolls Online. We'll be hearing from studio director Matt Firor about the major Chapter update for 2023 and where in Tamriel we'll be heading this time. 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:According to a leak earlier today, it seems tওhis update may be called Necrom and introduce a new Arcanist class. Oh, and that new region is allegedly Morrowind too, so that's all very exciting.

Today's Developer_Direct stream is being followed up by a standalone ESO Chapter Reveal Event so yౠou'll want to hang around for that one for what Microsoft says will offer "in-depth details ESO players will be keen to know".

FORZA MOTORSPORT

Forza Motorsport Xbox Series X screenshot

There will also be an update on 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Forza Motorsport - the upcoming racing sim from Turn10 Studios that was first revealed back in 2020. Last July we got confirmation it's dropping at some point in 'Spring 2023' so🗹 it feels ripe for a release date reveal today. We're all longing for Spring, right?

According to Microsoft, today's event will be used "to share more gameplay anꦛd exciting new details" on the game, which Turn10 has "built from the ground up to take advantage of🐻 Xbox Series X|S".

We do already have confirmation of some of the vehicles that'll feature in the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Forza Motorsport car list along with some of the tracks we'll be car🦄eering round too.

MINECRAFT LEGENDS

Minecraft Legends screenshot

Minecraft Legends is also confirmed for some time in the spotlight - and just so happens to also not have a release date. Currently it's just pencilled in for some time in 2023, so perhaps we'll get a narrower ꦺwindow at today's event.

Mojang has said that today will be used to showcase the PvP multiplayer experience on 🐎offer with Minecraft Legends. We've not seen much of the action-strategy game so far beyond the initial reveal, but we're defꦛinitely excited to see more of how we'll be defending the Overworld.

Less than half an hour to go now u🍒ntil the event kicks off properly! Got your snacks ready?

REDFALL

Redfall key art

The fourth and final game definitely making an ap𓆉pearance is Arkane's Redfall. It sounds like it's going to be quite a dominating section of the event (which is rumored to last around 44 minutes).

Microsoft has said to expect "several minutes of gameplay" that will include single and multiplayer showcases. "Fanಌs can expect to learn more about combat, customization, bosses, the open world, and more."

Again, Redfall doesn't currently have a set release date beyond "the first half of 2023". We're definitely hoping that the date gets pinned down for this highly anticipated 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:upcoming Xbox Series X game.

SOME SURPRISES?

That's it for the confirme🅰d appearances, but does Microsoft have any secrets up its... sleeves? Can a global corporation have sleeves? Anyway...

Rumor has it that Tango Softworks (the studio behind 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Ghostwire: Tokyo a🍰nd The Evil Within) has something in development called Hi-Fi Rush. As to what it could be about, that's more of a mystery, so let's see if it does get revealed at today's event.

Interestingly, there hasn't been much other chatter about the event, and Microsoft's own Aaro🎶n Greenberg has said not to expect more than the four games it has already announced for the show. In a tw🔥eet, Greenberg said, "as outlined in this announcement our goal has been to be as transparent as possible on what dev teams/games to expect to see in the show".

Ther𒉰e's five minutes to go... I wonder🌞 what'll be first on the list? My money's on Elder Scrolls Online.

Okay, here we go!

As a reminder, you can watch along at Xbox&a𒅌pos;s or channels, or Bethesda's or channels

Here comes the countdown!

D📖oes anyone else hate it when a countdown leads to another countdown?

This one is so close to that old 🌞DVD menu thing, but witho⭕ut the corner drama.

Cheeky reminders of the developers involved for today's Developer Direct. Arkane Austin for Redfall, Mojang Studios for Minecraft Legends, Turn 10 Studios for Forza Motorsport, and Z🍃eniMax Online Stꦡudios for Elder Scrolls Online.

Minecraft Legends is kicking things off!

You can play the campaign online with friends as ꦦa co-op experience, but also as a 4v4 PvP multꦺiplayer mode too.

It's being developed in partne✨rship with Blackbird Interactiv💫e too.

In the PvP mode, you share your army and resources with you✨r team members, so that no one person can win the battle on their own.

The world is procedur🎀ally generated in PvP - just like the campaign - which means it's going to be different every time you play🎶.

Piglins 🗹will also be trying to attack both teams du🍒ring PvP too, so there's going to be a lot to worry about.

You'll need to build your base, gather resꦑources, react to enemy attacks, and constantly evolving your tactics. It sounds brill🀅iant fun!

And there's a release date! APRIL 18 for Minecraft Legends

Forza Motorsport is up now and we're already getting claims it's the most "technically advanced racer". We certainly know it's going to be pretty.

It'll feature over 500 cars at launch with over 800 unique up꧂grades.

Advancements to tech are g🥃reater than Forza 5/6/7 combined...

That's some seriously shiny car paint folks. Plus you'll get unique and contextu🍰ally aware dirt and damage build up.

Forza Motorsport

Forza Motorsport

Lots of aud🐓io enhancements too - so definitely time to upgrade my Xbox Seri🔜es X headset!

It'll launch with 20 environments, and 5 tracks that♌ are brand new to the Forza Motorsport series - alongside some familiar ones too of course.

Forza Motorsport will have 10x mo🦩re detail in its tracks than any 𝐆game before it.

Forza Motorsport

Ooft the ray tracing sounds excellent. But then Turn10's gamಌes have always looked stunning.

Online ꦉRacing Mode and building focused career mode mentioned - it had something to do with sim in the name but I didn't catch that.

No releas🐼e date on this one - it's still a "coming 2023" release.

Oh hello𝐆 - this isn&apo🍎s;t one of the four announced games is it...

Absolutely loving the Jet Set / Sunset Overdrive vibe o🍷💎n this

And here it is! Hi-Fi Ru♎sh from Tango Gameworks! What a unexpected look and feel!

This is a rh🦹ythm action game, whe🐷re your attacks need to flow with the beat in order to get more powerful - and more awesome.

You're playing as a wannabe rockstar who can feel the rhythm of the world. The beat moves 💮the world around you and then you move to the beඣat.

On the beat atta♕cks add mo🍨re flair and finishing moves too.

You can jump, dodge, and parry attacks whenever you want - the key is just feeling the beat. Progress isn&ap🎀os;t blocked by missing a beat, but you do get more for keeping in rhythm.

ꦏOur hero Chai also has some friends - including a robot cat called 808. Oh, nice refe💜rence there Tango friends.

When you're not fighting, you're also exploring and working with your friends to take dow🀅n the bosses at a tech company.

Each level has its own take on the rock genre for a soundtrack, and then there's a boss b🧸attle at the end of each. These will🅰 also feature licensed music.

YOU CAN PET THE CAT

Umm it's coming out TONIGHT?

Elder Scrolls Online: Necron is the name for the neꩲxt expansion too.

Saving Redfall until last! So excited for this𓆉 one.

Let's head down to Redfall, 🃏Massachusetts shall we?

It's going to be Arkane's largest setting ever - hand🔯-crafted and packed with environmental storytelling.

Seaside boardwalks, haunted forests, and more will be your 🦋p🙈laygrounds here it seems, but there will also be five bases where you'll receive missions from survivors.

Redfall base

Here's an example of just one of the bases.

One of the missions seemingly involves returning a lamp to a lighthouse, but because you've pissed off the vampires, they call in a Vampire God to give you absolute h🅺ell.

Like Arkane's other games, you can choose to tackle missions in a variet🅠y of ways. Here we've got Remi using her gadgets to distract before attacking.

Was that an exploding clown? Here's me thinking vampires were꧃ the scariest thing in this game.

That was an 💙example of a side quest outside the main mission too, trying to save and protect🐟 survivors.

One of the other side quests will include clear𝔍ing a vampire nest - complete꧟ with pulsating giant heart.

You'll also have to work to clear neighbours by finding safe houses and then working up to the vampire hidꩵeout controlling that neighbourhood.

Loving the look at the massive w🐬eb of upgrades for each character too.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Mojang ]]> Xbox head Phil Spencer has made it abundantlyౠ clea🧔r that Call of Duty will be remaining on PlayStation consoles.

Appearing on The Verge's podcast earlier this week, Spencer was once again asked about taking Call of Duty off PlayStation systems, provided Microsoft's acqu🐻isition of🥀 Activision Blizzard proceeds. "It’s not about at some point I pull🥀 the rug underneath PlayStation 7’s legs," Spencer began by saying.

"This idea that we would write a contract that says the word forever in🦩 it I think is a little bit silly, but to make a longer term commitment that Sony would be comfortable with, r🅷egulators would be comfortable with, I have no issue with that at all," the head of Xbox continued.

Spencer, and Microsoft at large, have been asked numerous times about Call of Duty since it was announced the company would be acquiring Activision Blizzard earlier this year. Last month in October, Spencer revealed his wish to 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:treat Call of Duty like Minecraft, and put it on as ma🌺ny platforms as possible despite the acquisition (Microsoft previously acquired Min🐎ecraft developer Mojang).

Despite this, PlayStation head Jim Ryan called Spencer's offer of keeping Call of Duty on PlayStation platforms "澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:inadequate on many levels." Countering this, Microsoft then asserted that even if every Call of Duty player switched to Xbox consoles, PlayStation would supposedly🃏 still have a bigger audience

Considering 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Modern Warfare 2 just had the bi𝐆ggest Call of Duty launch ever on a PlayStation con🔥sole last month in October, per♔haps it's not surprising Spencer wishes to keep the series on Sony's platform.

Activision Blizzard's president recently asserted he was confident the Microsoft acquisition would close by June 2023

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Mojang ]]> The best games like Minecraft can offer up similar experiences that tap into some of Mojang's signature ingredients. Whether you enjoy building and crafting, or you're after more adventures with survival elements, there are plenty of great alternatives to explore if you're looking to get stuck into something like 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Minecraft.

Minecraft's blocky world is a great place to let your creativity loose, and with so much freedom to shape spaces, it really has become a builder's dream. And, with the recent release of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:A Minecraft movie, now is the best time to jump into a server! Minecraft has gone on to influence many releases since it first launched back in 2009, and with a wealth of updates and additions, there's a reason it's still going strong to this day. And one of the most beloved crafting games around, it continues to inspire 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:new games.

So, whether you꧂'re after something that will help you get creative, you want to get stuck into another building adventure, or you want to try out another survival experience, read on below as we take you through our pick of the 25 best games like Minecraft you can play right now.

25. The Forest

Games like Minecraft - A player walking towards a person hanging from a tree in The Forest

Developer: Endnight Games Ltd
Platforms:
PC, PS4

The Forest drops you in the middle of the wilderness (quite literally: you crash a plane) and forces you to craft weapons and shelter to survive against an apparently nocturnal tribe of cannibals. It's totally like playing Minecraft - if Minecraft's creepy hissing spiders were bloodth⛦irsty savages trying to eat you. However, if the screenshot above wasn't clear, The Forest is far scarier than Minecraft would ever want to be.

There’s a real 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Green Inferno vibe underscoring the whole thing, what with you being lost in the wilderness scavenging for food, building shelter from the weather, and fighting off aggressive club-toting mutants. Not for the kids. But it's the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best horror game for Minecraft fans, for sure!

24. Roblox

Games like Minecraft - a screenshot of a player standing in front of a burning house in Roblox

Developer: Roblox Corporation
Platforms:
PC, Xbox One, iOS, Android

In its ridiculously popular online sandbox, Roblox lets🅘 you create just about anything that you can think of. Want to build a massiveꦍ skyscraper only to watch it blow up in spectacular fashion or host a disco party complete with flashing lights and an on-stage DJ? Go for it.

The world is yours to do what you will with it, and the possibilities are endless, thanks to the game's 🌠intricate editing tools. Roblox puts a huge focus on the social aspects of building and dismantling🍒 with friends, with virtually everything in the world created by the players (and there are a lot of them). Try it if Minecraft is a bit too solitary for your liking.

23. Terraria

Games like Minecraft - a screenshot of a Christmas event during Terraria

Developer: Re-Logic
Platforms:
PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android

As in Minecraft, many a tree will be slaughtered on your way to building shelter when first starting out in the 2D world of Terraria. But it’s a necessary sacrifice, as there are things that go bu꧃mp in the night in this world 💮- things that would very much like to slay you, actually, even as you try to figure out what to do with your steadily increasing pile of natural (and supernatural) resources.

Thankfully, Terraria gives you more options when it comes to disposing of the encroaching evil with a greater emphasis on combat and unique items; and crafting is more than just a means of security against th෴e persistent dangers of the world, conquering the ൩world’s bosses and dungeons along the way.

22. Castle Story

Games like Minecraft - a group of yellow soldiers during Castle Story

Developer: Sauropod Studio
Platforms:
PC

Although it'🦹s a strategy game, Castle Story's strong focus on tactically overpowering your enemies doesn't mean you won't also be building all manner of structures in the process.

The need to😼 partake in mass deforestation is also a shared trait with Minecraft, but it’s all for a good cause, that good cause being an impenetrable castle entirely made out of wooden blocks. The extra spice in Castle Story's gameplay comes 🦋from getting to design your own defenses in what quickly turns into a wonderfully addictive marriage of creativity and tactics.

21. Stardew Valley

Games like Minecraft - a screenshot of a farm during Spring in Stardew Valley.

Developer: ConcernedApe
Platforms:
PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android

With all the large-scale construction going on, it’s easy to forget that Minecraft features the chance to indulge in the underrated joys and small victories of owning and caring for a garden or even a full-blown farm. 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Stardew Valley is an entire game that revoꦆlv🍒es around that very same idea. That said, there's quite a bit that sets it apart.

In Stardew Valley, players can get to know their local com🐼munity of fictional characters, and even spark up a romance with some of their neighbors if they want to. The game also takes inspiration from the likes of Animal Crossing and JRPGs as much as it does Minecraft, and that hybrid nature keeps it from leaning too heavily into one single genre.

20. Ark: Survival Evolved

Games like Minecraft - a player riding a dinosaur during Ark: Survival Evolved.

Developer: Studio Wildcard
Platforms:
PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch

While "Minecraft with dinosaurs" is probably a little too reductive of a description, it certainly gives you an idea of what to expect from 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Ark: Survival Evolved.♋ You gain consciousness on the beaches of a mysterious island chock full of Jurassᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚic beasts, but it’s not long before your skills in crafting and combat come in handy in the quest to become king of the jungle.

Ark is a game obsessed with Darwinism and the hierarchy of nature. Start as naked prey, become an apex predator. The game slowly becomes less of a survival experience and more of a power fantasy, emulating the concept of evolution in a way that few other titles have. It's also one of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best dinosaur games around, so check it out!

19. CubeWorld

Games like Minecraft - a screenshot of two enemies in CubeWorld.

Developer: Picroma
Platforms:
PC

Cube World has its roots in crafting and character progression and takes place in randomly generated worlds full of blocks as far as the eye can see. There’s a strong focus on cosmetic customization, with characters able to modify their armor and other wearables for the sake of 💃fabulous self-expression.

But Cube World cribs from games like The Legend of Zelda, too. Inspired by such exploration-heavy games, Cube World gives players an arsenal of skills to better help them trudge through the endless world. Choosing a class and specialization for combat turns the game from a simple exploration simulator into a meaty RPG adventure packed with missions, b🐎osses, an💞d creepy caves to explore.

18. Trove

Games like Minecraft - a screenshot of a player in Trove.

Developer: gamigo US Inc.
Platforms:
PC, PS4, Xbox One

Trove is a voxel game, so its resemblances to Minecraft are immediately apparent, at least from a visual point of view. Trion World’s action-oriented MMO features mines and caverns craw🦩ling with enemies and the promise of untold rewards, letting players team up with friends t🎀o progress their character and conquer Trove’s sizeable to-do list.

However, Trove is m♉ore concerned with being an MMO than a Minecraft clone, with its extensive range of classes designed to facilitate and encourage variation in playstyle. Its employment of loot, bosses and dungeons again draws from the well of RPG tropes to de𒈔viate from the conventions of its aesthetic inspiration.

17. Starbound

Games like Minecraft - a screenshot of the inside of a spaceship during Starbound.

Developer: Chucklefish
Platforms:
PC

The tagline for Starbound is a pretty good summat🔴ion of what to expect: "survive, discover, explore, and fight." Beyond that, an infinite universe means there are loads of possibilities in its generous heaps of 2D co-op gameplay, not least when it comes to shaping the world and discovering new locations to set up shop.

Exploring the game with friends - whether it's just to farm, try your hand at space exploration, or create weapon🐻ry for quests - is designed to be enjoyable in itself, rather than just a means to an end. And while it is an open-ended experience, t♛he addition of quests and NPCs imbues the game with a contextual purpose, unlike the narrative-free adventuring of Minecraft.

16. Colony Survival

Games like Minecraft - a screenshot of a castle during Colony Survival.

Developer: Pipliz
Platforms
: PC

At first glance, Colony Survival is another game which could easily be mistaken for Minecraft (albeit Minecraft with some very nice shaders), but it’s ac🎶tually a very different beast. An unusual blend of tower defense and survival strategy, you’re tasked with building a colony from scratch (or assigning your various colonists to build it for you) and defending it against the hordes of monsters that attack your settlement each night.

The colonists are the core of the gameplay, able to be assigned by you to different roles, including guards, farmers, and mi💧ners, and generally being a lot more clever than your average mumbling Minecraft villager.

15. Kerbal Space Program

Games like Minecraft - a close-up of an alien during Kerbal Space Program.

Developer: Squad
Platforms:
PC, PS4, Xbox One

At its c🍸ore, Minecraft 🧸is all about unleashing creativity and problem-solving. You need a bed, so you gather the materials, arrange them as needed, and construct a bed. Kerbal Space Program is much the same way.

No, you're not out in the wilderness building massive replicas of famous locales, but you're using critical thinking skills to help cute cartoon critters survive the harsh reality of space travel. And, like Minecraft, Kerbal Space Program has been used by teachers in schools as an educational tool. See, games can be fun and educational!

14. Don't Starve

Games like Minecraft - a player running from a monster during Don't Starve.

Developer(s): Klei Entertainment, Blitworks
Platforms:
PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android

The Creeper will always remain the king when it comes to survival crafting scares, but Don’t Starve’s consortium of creatures come pretty close to dethroning that Minecraft icon. The similarities also exten𒁏d to Don’t Starve’s emphasis on staying alive by crafting tools and she🐭lter despite your incredibly limited resources.

However, the game stands apart thanks to its wonderfully gothic aesthetic, which looks like a children's book fused with H.P. Lovecraft. And, as the title implies, Klei Entertainment’s roguelike uses hunger as merely the first challenge for players to race against in a tough-as-nails survival experience. Staying nourished has never been so inte𒊎nse, and fire has never been a greater friend.

13. Dragon Quest Builders 2

Games like Minecraft - a player getting ready to build during Dragon Quest Builders 2.

Developer: Square Enix
Platforms
: Nintendo Switch, PS4, PC

Another game which wears its Minecraft inspiration on its sleeve is survival-craft action RPG Dragon Quest Builders 2. The game drops y🍌ou into a charming block-based fantasy land𝓀 being oppressed by an evil cult. The cult’s aims? To eliminate all those who dare to be creative.

As a result, the world is falling to bits, and it is your job to defy the cult and help the people reconstruct their destroyed land. Building on the decades-long success of the Dragon Quest series, the game differs from its inspiration with the inclusion of a variety of RPG-style quests, as well as familiar series elements such as slimes, quirky dialogue, and an enchantingly retro soundtrack by series rꦇegular composer Koichi Sugiyama.

12. Slime Rancher 2

Slime Rancher 2

Developer: Monomi Park
Platforms:
PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS5

Slime Rancher 2 sees you play as Beatrix LeBeau as you venture to Rainbow Island, which is full to the brim with cute slime-shaped friends to discover and collect. If you enjoy the building aspect of Minecraft, or even the farmin💞g elements, you're sure to also enjoy expanding your own conservatory, crafting new helpful gadgets, and upgrading your va๊cpack - a unique tool that allows you to gather resources and collect slimes.

With a vibrant landscape to explore, a variety of slimy critters to find, and plenty to work towards, there's a satisfying sense of progression that likely clicks with you if you enjoy games like Minecraft. As the sequel to Slime Rancher, which launched in Early Acc⛄ess, it's also well worth checking out the original game, too.

11. Lego Worlds

Games like Minecraft - a Lego village during Lego Worlds

Developer(s): TT Games, Traveller's Tales
Platforms:
PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch

Lego Worlds is based heavily on Minecraft, which itself takes a lot of inspiration from Lꦬego itself, so yeah, you could say these two games have quite a bit in common. You can destroy and build ‘en masse’ in Lego Worlds, tearing down entire environments in one foul swoop to build fantastical structures using its suite of robust crafting tools.

But there’s also a campaign mode, collectibles, classic Lego-style gameplay, and a wonderfully theatrical Peter Serafinowicz narrating the whole thing. Lego Worlds brings that classic Lego charm to the genre that it’s partly responsible for creating, which lends the gam🍸e an infectious quality that manages to constantly charm the pants off of anyone messing around in its brick-based biomes.

10. Factorio

Games like Minecraft - a factory in Factorio

Developer: Wube Software
Platforms:
PC

Survival meets resource management in this time-eater from Wube Software. After crash landing on an alien planet, it’s up to you to build the machines to survive (and potent🍰ially escape) this hostile new world. The developers have made it no secret that they were inspired by Minecraft mods such as IndustrialCraft, and the spirit of building and surviving is no secret in ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚFactorio.

The game is one of the more complex ones on this list, but with time to invest and careful organization, you could soon be the owner of a shiny new industrial sprawl. However, beware: The alien wildlife has been taking lessons from the zombies and creepers and will grow increasingly host💮ile to you the more you build and pollute their planet!

9. The Flame in the Flood

Games like Minecraft - a ship leaving an island during The Flame in the Flood.

Developer: The Molasses Flood
Platforms:
PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch

For anyone who takes satisfaction from the risk-reward dynamꦜic of survival crafting games, but is burnt out on the first-person style gameplay which first originated with Minecraft, there’s a good chance The Flame in the Flood will be right up your alley. Unlike most survival ga♎mes, you’re constantly on the move in The Flame in the Flood, heading downstream in a washed-out USA to find the source of a radio signal.

ꦗThis figurative and literal flow of pace, in additi𒁃on to the ambient visuals and folksy soundtrack, allows Flame in the Flood to really stand out, making it well worth its comparatively higher asking price. Plus, who doesn’t like the idea of a loyal dog for a companion in these trying times?

8. Craft the World

Games like Minecraft -a home at night during Craft the World.

Developer: Dekovir Entertainment
Platforms:
PC, iOS

An underground labyrinth is in need of exploration and mining, and leaves a group of dwarves under your command to find what they need to construct fantastic fortresses. Once done with their days-long construction project, it's time to craft weapons, items, ammunition, and more via the in-gaওme library o💯f simple recipes.

But unlike in Minecraft, where you are but a single presence in the world, Craft the World gives you a group of earth-dwelling homunculi to help with a variety of tasks. Need some extra muscle? Order them to fend off approaching baddies. How about some se😼tting up some traps? Give a couple of clicks here and there, and you can send the😼m on their merry way.

7. No Man’s Sky

Games like Minecraft - a player shooting an enemy with a laser during No Man's Sky.

Developer: Hello Games

If Minecraft first popularized the concept of procedural generation, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:No Man’s Sky took that idea and launched it sky-high into the great expanse. You’re not exploring a single world but over 18 quintillion planets, thoug🍃h that familiar survival crafting loop is alive and well here; there are just spaceships and aliens involved now, too.

The game had a rough start, as it wasn't quite able to live up to the lofty expectations of players. Since the♔n, however, it's been completely revamped and reshaped into a truly worthwhile experience bursting with things to do. Bored with a planet? No need to create a new world, just hop into your spaceship and fly to another one.

6. Fallout 4

Games like Minecraft - a billboard of Vault Boy in Fallout 4.

Developer: Bethesda Game Studios
Platforms:
PC, PS4, Xbox One

As an open-world RPG from Bethesda, Fallout 4 probably doesn’t immediately strike you as a spiritual spin-off to Minecraft. But take a look at the Settlement system, in which you can dismantle structures to acquire re🌳sources and build wondrous bases. This feature boasts all the hallmarks of classic Minecraft🍌 gameplay, and Bethesda hasn’t been shy of expressing its fondness for that franchise in the past.

Of course, the reality is that Fallout 4’s Settlement feature is just a small part of a much larger game, and🐼 you can completely ignore it if you want to. But experimౠentation with Fallout 4’s assortment of crafty contraptions brings its own unique rewards that can’t be found anywhere else.

5. Space Engineers

Developer: Keen Software House
Platforms:
PC

A classic space-based sandbox, Space Engineers lets you engineer spaceships, vehicles, and planetary outpost𒐪s in both survival and creative modes. With its unusual volumetric physics engine, you can dig, build, and destroy absolutely everything you see (and if that isn’t in the spirit of Minecraft, nothing is).

Technology in the game is designed to be realistic and accurate to what could be created in real life in the near future, so it’s educ🐻ational (kind of), too! Multiplayer lets you play with up to 16 players per world, allowing you to work together or fight each other for control. And the game’s healthy modding community gives you access to new ships to fly and planets to explore.

4. Junk Jack

Games like Minecraft - a screenshot of Junk Jack

Developer: Pixbits SRL
Platforms:
PC

Players can join you in for friendly crafting and exploring (or devious killing and trapping) in this pixelated 2D playground. You just never know what's going to happen if you dig too deep or venture far from home, ⭕but it usually ends in death. Many games of this ilk tend to plop players down into a new world𝔍 and let them run wild. Junk Jack takes a different approach.

A lengthy tutorial introduces the premise and helps newcomers really understand the nuances of the game, while a simpler crafting system using item recipes also helps us🌺her in less experienced players. That simplicity doesn’t come at a sacrifice to purpose either, which arrives in the form of several꧟ in-game goals to accomplish.

3. Fortnite

Games like Minecraft - a player looking at their map during Fortnite

Developer: Epic Games
Platforms:
PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android

You may be more familiar with its battle royale mode, but Fortnite has a coܫ-op mode too, you know! In Fortnite: Save The World, you start out wielding naught but a giant pickaxe, which you can use to whack against trees, rocks, and basically anything else to break down for materials in your quest to build the coolest fortress ever.

That fortress will need to be set up post-haste too, as zombies are on the march, and they’re looking to destroy everything within their path. Sounds pretty Minecraft-y to us. And, if you do want to check out Fortnite: Battle Royale, you'll find ou♌t what happens when survival crafting meets PvPౠ.

2. Subnautica

Developer: Unknown Worlds Entertainment
Platforms
: PC, Mac, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PS5, PS4

Subnautica’s unique brand of underwater, futuristic survival leaves you stranded on the mysterious and watery Planet 4546B, an ocean world teeming with hostile life. Like Minecraft, your task as a lone survivor is to explore the world, overcome its dangers,✅ and collect resources to build bases, submersibles, and ne🍰w tools.

Unlike Minecraft, however, as well as staying fed and healthy, you’ll have to keep an eye on your oxygen levels as you plunge into the depths of the ocean! Also, unli♕ke its block-based precursor, Subnautica also has a proper plot, which players will unearth (or un-water) as they discover their home. The game also be🔜nefits from VR support, giving you a truly immersive experience.

1. Eco

Games like Minecraft - a town in Eco

Developer: Strange Loop Games
Platforms:
PC

Eco takes the top spot on our list because it takes the foundations laid by Minecraft and builds upon them to form something that feels like a significant progression of those ideas. Like Minecraft, Eco has been used as a t🍎eaching tool as well as a game, and for good reason. In this world, everything is connected, and you need to build a civilization froꦦm the ground up.

That means not only are you chopping down trees to build a place where you can craft your various recipes, but you're✅ also chopping down trees in places where doing so won't erode the soil, and keeping the waste byproduct of your crafting limited so as not to pollute the water. While there are many modes of play, arguably the most challenging is to build up a society with other players that is capable of stopping a meteor from destroying everything. Yeah. Good luck with that!

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Mojang ]]> Update 02/16/2024: Starfield on PS5 could happen in the future as Xbox hasn't ruled out the possibility of bringing more exclusives to non-Xbox platforms, but it doesn't sound like anything is in the works right now. After a 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:series of rumours about a major shakeup to Xbox's exclusives strategy ran rampant online, Xbox executives Phil Spencer, Sarah Bond, and Matt Booty got together in a special Xbox Podcast to 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:explain the future of Xbox. This included revealing that four currently unnamed Xbox exclusives will be heading to other ♏consoles but that Starfield and, at the time, the upcoming 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Indiana Jones and the Great Circle are not making the jump (澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Indiana Jones on PS5 has since been confirmed for Spring 2025).

The original viewpoint on 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Starfield coming to PlayStation was that, as an Xbox exclusive, the game woul🥀d be playable only on PC and Xbox (even though the game was announced when a PS5 or PS4 version was aไlmost certainly in development). Closer to Starfield's launch, Xbox, Bethesda, and even Todd Howard, were very clear that Starfield would be exclusive to Xbox and PC, and that it wouldn't release on PS5 or PS4.

So, Starfield went from being multiplatform to an Xbox console exclusive and remains so... for now. Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer has also said in an interview with that a game going to any other platform shouldn't ever be ruled out. He goes on to say that the Xbox team is using these first four games as a learning experience. Spencer also said in the podcast that he believes exclusive games "are going to be𝓀 a smaller and smaller part of the game industry".

In short, it's all a bit of mess, real꧅ly, but there are currently no clear plans from Xbox to bring Starfield over to PS5.

For an early primer, read up what we know about 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Starfield crafting and research!

The talk of what would and wouldn't be coming to PlayStation following the Bethesda acquisition was basically a mess when the first deal went though. It's highly likely that 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Starfield's single player adventure probably was aiming for multiple platforms originally - Sony were rumour♛ed to be negotiating Starfield exclusivity in the months before Microsoft swooped in which, ironically, might have been one of the triggering factors for the acquisition. It's also since been revealed that 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Redfall was in prodಞuction for PlayStation and that 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Microsoft allegedly canned it.

澳洲幸运5开奖号ꦜ码历史查询:Even PlaySta🐻tion boss Jim Ryan seemed unsure when Bethesda was acquired, saying that Starfield being on PS4 or PS5 was "a decision that is out of our hands, we’ll wait and see what happens". At the time Bethesda's Pete Hines 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:was quoted as saying "there are Xbox brands on other platforms. Mineꦕcraft didn't stop existing on anything when Mojang was bought by Microsoft. It's not a 🀅'sorry you're never going to get to play anything on PlayStation again'".

As positive as that sounds, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Todd Howard talked about how limiting the platform would make a better game, stating, "you don’t ever want to leave people out but at the end🍌🌼 of the day, your ability to focus and say, 'this is the game I want to make, these are the platforms I want to make it on', and being able to really lean in on those is going to make for a better product". Xbox marketing general manager Aaron Greenberg also stated that "Starfield will be launching exclusively on Xbox Series X , S and PC".

Over time all this confusing talk eventually solidified into Starfield being an Xbox exclusive, but now after plenty of rumors and Xbox having to clarify some things in an emergency podcast, we're currently back at Starfield maybe releasing on PS5, but almost cerꦉtainly not anytime soon. Which is a big step back from the absolutely hard 'no' Xbox and Bethesda eventually reached in the past.

If you want to start looking into Starfield backgrounds and starting skills for your character, or sketch out ideas for 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Starfield ship customization, Xbox and PC are your only options.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Mojang ]]> This year's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Minecraft mob vote will offer playဣers a choice between the Sniffer, Rascal, and Tuff Golem, but it&ꦫapos;s already looking like a landslide victory for the first item in that list.

Every year, developer Mojang presents three concepts for potential new mobs, and players get to vote on which one they want added to the game. This year, that 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:vote will be taking place in-game, running for 24 hours starting on October 14 at 9am PDT / 12pm EDT / 5pm BST. Previous mob votes have introduced creatures like the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Allay to Minecraft.

The first of this year's options to be announced was the Sniffer. This mob is basically a tortoise. Yꦍou can find its eggs in underwater ruins and help them hatch, bringing the creature back from extinction. They'll help you find ancient seeds that you can raise into never-before-seen types of plants.

The Rascal can be found anywhere undergro✤und, and will play hide and seek with you. If you find it three ﷽times, it'll give you a reward that'll aid in mining.

Finally, the Tuff Golem will pick up dropped items and hold them. And… that's pretty much it. You'll build them, and they'll basically walk around as mobile item dis𒉰play uni✱ts.

Since the Sniffer adds both a major new gameplay component and new decorative items, the popular online sentiment is that the vote's ﷽going to be an easy s🤡weep for team turtle.

"Sniffer is an easy pick when co꧅mpared to the other t💎wo mobs," Reddit user says.

"You smell that?" asks. 🅘"I smell a Sniffer Sweep."

ও says that "all 3 of these are really disappointing imo, the sniffer is𝓡 just the least disappointing, I think this year we’ll have the most one sided mob vote with the golem in 2nd and the sniffer still with a large majority of the votes."

This is a small sample of sentiments, of course, but there's not a ton of outl♚ying support for the Rascal or Tuff Golem right now. Maybe we'll see a turn in the week leading up to the actual vote, but right now it sure smells like a Sniffer victory.

Do you want to 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:see the entire universe in Minecraft? This community's wonders will never cease.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Mojang ]]> A Minecraft player has built the entire universe in-game, and even Xbox can't🌳 believe what it's seeing.

YouTuber ChrisDaCow has gone above and beyond in 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Minecraft's Creative mode by recreating the whole universe. We're talking a Black Hole, Nebula, Solar System, the lot. The incredibly impressive build has been shared to both (where it already has 110k upvotes), and - with the official Xbox account retweeting it and adding: "Go back to༒ bed, nothing you do today will be this good." W♛hich is pretty high praise, honestly.

In the short video, ChrisDaCow shared small glimpses of their universe alongside a fitting soundtrack, which makes the whole thing feel even more epic. They did however also break down exactly how they managed to complete such as𒀰 task in a separate video. In a bizarre turn of events, t⭕he YouTuber starts the video by jumping out of an airplane explaining that this is how they attempted to get a good look at Earth.

According to the video, this obviously wasn't a good enough technique so ChrisDaCow then decided to go for the much easier option and 🐈just looked at a globe. With this, they then measured the location of each continent to perfectly replicate the planet. This wasn't accurate enough for our Minecraft builder though, as they then set about coloring each of the continents the exact same colors as they appear from space, which ended up taking three days to do. Talk about dedication.

After this, ChrisDaCow then set out to create the rest of the Milky Way including Mars, Venus, Mercury, all the other planets in our solar system, and the Sun. They did have to make Earth - and the smaller planets around it - 700,000 times smaller than they actually are though if they were ever going to fit into the build. Saturn was particularly difficult to sculpt and it ended up taking ChꦕrisDaCow a whole day just to perfect the rings surrounding it.

So much more went into this project than what we've mention♚ed in this story, so make sure to watch ChrisDaCow's video to understand just how big of a build this is.

If you now feel like giving up on Mojang's sandbox game because, who would blame you, take a look at our 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:games like Minecraft list for inspiration on what to play next.

 • Raw Gold. Dropped from gold ore when mined with an iron pickaxe or higher quality. Can be smelted to create gold ingots.
 • Raw Iron. Mined with at least stone quality pickaxe. Dropped from iron ore and can be smelted to create iron ingots.

10. Peggle Deluxe

A screenshot of a level during the feel good game, Peggle Deluxe.

Developer: Popcap Games
Platform(s): PC

Yeah, that's right, Peggle. In the final moments of any round of Peggle, whether you've cleared all the pegs or just the requisite number, the result is the same. The ball slows down on the approach to the final peg, and as it hits, firework visuals burst from the screen, and 'Ode to Joy' crescendos. It doesn't m꧅atter how often this happens; each one is accompanied by either a grin of achievement or an air punch. T🧔his is pure, unadulterated 'joy' condensed into bright visuals and terrific sound design.

There's very little skill needed in order to reach this moment and it barks loudly of Pavlov's dog, but it cannot be helped, 'Ode to Joy' is a wonderfully catchy tune and the perfect end to a game. The bonus is that Peggle can be played on everything and by everyone. You can give it to kids or your grandad and each one will be filled with happiness⭕ for those few minutes, until it happens all over again.

Head back in time with our 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Peggle review for more on this feel-good series.

9. Minecraft

Developer: Mojang Studios
Platform(s): PC, Xbox Series♕ X/S, Xbox One, PS🌸5, PS4, Nintendo Switch

When the credits finally roll on 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Minecraft, after beating the Ender Dragon, we're treated to a poem of sorts. If you cut through all the che♛ese and whimsꦜy, a few lines carry some emotional weight. Granted, you have to complete the game after perhaps hundreds of hours to see this poem, but one line manages to sum up the entire experience of this sandbox adventure – "What did this player dream?"

Minecraft is much more than an adventure story full of monsters and survival. It's an opportunity for play, to create anything your heart and mind can conceive. Perhaps the game itself doesn't spell out this concept, but it gives players a place to feel at home and cre🔯ate ♉anything from outlandish castles for solo players to rattle around into sprawling villages made by a mum and her kids. It's electronic LEGO, where imagination runs free, and anyone can be what they want, with no boundaries or limits.

8. The Sims 4

It doesn't matter which iteration you choose, but if you ask us, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Sims 4 can bring joy in so many ways. And who can forget to use all those 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Sims 4 cheats? Gaining infinite money and building the biggest, most lavish house you can imagine? The Sims 4 is the perfect way to live a life you may not be able to achieve in the real world – be a rockstar, an astronaut, or an artist. Whatever you choose🧔 will bring huge amounts of endorphins. It also has the best building mechanics of any Sims game, so if you love making houses or get satisfaction from decorating, this is the gamꦐe for you.

7. ICO

Yorda and Ico holding hands during the feel good game, Ico.

Developer: Team Ico
Platform(s): PS3, PS4 (via PS Now)

ICO tells a classic 'boy meets girl' story set in a vast and sumptuous world. W👍ith no dialogue, each movement conveys emotion and the trust in which Yorda places in the titular character of Ico is just lovely. As the player, it's up to you to piece together the story of this outcast boy and the Queen's daughter, whose life is in danger.

The world is gorgeous, the castle and its puzzles are equally sublime. But th♈e joy mostly coꩵmes from these two delightful characters interacting, with Yorda showing Ico how to love and accept one another for who they are. This is a traditional fairy tale and one which will be remembered forever. As an older title, Ico was originally a PS3 game but can be played on PS4 via PS Now. If you can't get a hold of it, we also recommend trying out the remaster of Shadow of the Colossus.

6. Yakuza

Developer: Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio
Platform(s): PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S

The 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Yakuza games, for all their gunfights and fisticuffs, constantly convey a line of positivity. In one moment, we could be in the middle of a street fight, only to find ourselves sat in a bar in the next – a whiskey in one hand, cigarette in the other, talking to a film director about the work of another. Kiryu straightens his posture and delivers a piece of advice about staying tr🅰ue to a vision.

Having a positive impact in a world that is in desperate need of it is a constant theme in Yakuza games. Below the criminal underworld, our hero has seen the worst in humans, and he seemingly wants to do right by them and keep everyone focused on the beauty of life. Likewise, Ichiban Kasuga in Yakuza: Like A Dragon is a real ray ofඣ sunshine you can't help but root for. Any one of the Yakuza games will no doubt make you smile time and again with its signature humor, with protagonists you really come to care for.

Developer: Ben Esposito
Platform(s): PC, Switch, PS4, Xbox One, Android, iOS

Donut County isn’t a long game, but it will always make you smile. You play as the Racoon BK, who delivers donuts to multiple residents around town. The only problem is that those donuts aren’t the typical sweet treat you’d expect. Instead, they are large black holes that grow bigger as more trash, buildings, and even residents fall into the abyss. It may sound evil, but BK has prizes to think about, and soon, you’re thrown into a ꦍhilarious and light-hearted puzzle-based story.

Donut County is easy to get to grips with, has a relaxing, colorful style, and is packed with genuinely funny dialogue. Thanks to its snappy length, it’s also a game that doesn't require tons of commitment and makes for the perfect pick on t🌳hose days when you want to play something🐭 for the afternoon to feel better about life. Each level also has tons for you to look at and discover during your donut rampages, truly a feel good masterpiece.

4. Dreams

Developer: Media Molecule
Platform(s): PS5, PS4

Another place where imagination is the only thing holding back the player from creating, but this time, the game comes with all the delightful visuals and companions you need. Dreams, for the most🧸 part, guides you through processes with kindly voices and bright sentiments of encouragement. Playing to create, you're always told what 💯a great job you've done or how impressive your creation is. Playing with other people's creations opens up whole worlds of possibilities.

You might find a game that recreates racing toy cars across the carpet of a grandparent's living room or maybe a tale of loss and discovery. Dreams gives players a whole world of other people's imaginations to roam through, and when you're done, you can leave comments of encouragement or stickers that simply spell out '🐬good job, well done.' Who doesn't like being reward꧅ed with praise and stickers?

Kind Words seemed to appear on Steam out of nowhere. Perhaps, like the greatest superheroes, it o🤡nly appeared when we truly needed it. The player is right away folded up inside the comfort of a small living space made from calming hues, and a chill Lo-Fi playlist bumps along in the backgrounꦓd. The desk facing the beauty of the outside world is bathed in natural light from the large window, which opens for a deer to bring messages from real people around the globe. Some of these messages are simple notes saying hello; others are cries for help.

With this article in mind, I opene🐭d up the game and found people understandably worried about COVID-19. Kind Words sets out to make the world a better place through communication, and it does 𝔉so by keeping the player in a safe space. There's no griefing, no trolls, just positivity and people helping each other with sentiments of peace, words of encouragement, and tiny envelopes bursting with advice.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Mojang ]]> The best PS Vita games show us just how many excellent titles Sony's excellent handheld had back in the day. The portable powerhouse with its beautiful OLED screen was home to tons of creative games across a myriad of genres - with entries for a wealth of beloved series. It's no wonder it's considered one of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best handheld consoles we've seen over the years.

The PS Vita delivered AAA gaming in its day and continues to hold a special place in the hearts of many players due to the many great experiences it offered by some of the biggest developers in the world—just as we fondly look back on Sony's lineup of consoles thanks to some of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best PSP Games, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best PS1 games, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best PS2 Games, and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best PS3 Games around.

While it may not have enjoyed as much commercial success as other handhelds, there's no denying it was a fantastic machine with impressive specs. So join us as we look ba🦩ck on the handheld and take you through our ranking of the 25 best PS Vita games.

Best PS Vita Games, Ranked

25. Killzone: Mercenary

Best PS Vita games - a screenshot of Killzone: Mercenary.

Developer: Guerrilla Cambridge
Released: 2013

Considering its capabilities, the Vita was decidedly short-seℱrved when it came to excellent first-person sho✨oters. Fortunately, Guerilla Cambridge was able to fill the void with a superb effort that made its peers look laughable in comparison.

While the frame ꦕrate can take a hit at times, and it’s a little on the short side, it looks tremendous, has great shooting mechanics, and offers you the opportunity to play as both🦩 sides of the conflict. Sadly, its excellent online multiplayer is no longer up and running, so you’ll have to make do with the single-player campaign which clocks in at a brief but action-packed five hours.

24. Minecraft: PlayStation Vita Edition

Best PS Vita games - a screenshot of Minecraft: PlayStation Vita Edition.

Developer: Mojang
Released: 2014

The accessibility of Mojang’s world builder means it’s perfect for gaming on the go. While somᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚe will be disappointed with its lacꦡk of story or instruction, the real beauty of Minecraft is the sheer freedom that it offers.

Pretty much anything you can think of can be built (providing you have the right resources or are playing in Creation mode), and you’re only really limited by your own imagination. Whilℱe it lacks the huge playing areas of the PC original, the Vita version still manages to impress on its own terms and looks fantastic too.

23. Soul Sacrifice Delta

Best PS Vita games - a screenshot of Soul Sacrifice Delta.

Developer: Marvelous AQL
Released: 2014

With Nintendo locking up Monster Hunter for the 3DS, numerous other developers rushed to plug the gaping hole on Vita. Soul Sacrifice Delta is easily the most ambitious of these clones, and it’s the brainchild of Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune. Sacrifice plays a big part in Delta’s mechani🎶cs, as you’ll have to not only sacrifice fallen enemies to boost your stats, but also use certain powers that will directly debilitate you.

This means that ꦚthere’s a little strategy to go alongside the combat. Delta is an enhanced update of Soul Sacrifice, rather than a proper sequel, and didn’t get a physical release in the West, although an expensive Asian English language version is available.

22. WipEout 2048

Best PS Vita games - a screenshot of Wipeout 2048.

Developer: Studio Liverpool
Released: 2012

There was no sho🅺rtage of great games for the PS Vita’s launch, and WipEout remains one of the best racing experiences you can have on the console. Yes, it’s hampered by some slow loading times, and the weight and speed of the craft take a little while to get used to.

Still, once the new handling does click, you’ll d﷽iscover the racing and combat to be just as satisfying as earlier games in the series (which are actually set many years after this prequel). While its online multiplayer is a thing of the past, there remains plenty of cart-based content to keepꦰ you busy.

21. Dariusburst: Chronicle Saviours

Best PS Vita games - a screenshot of Dariusburst: Chronicle Saviours.

Developer: Pyramid
Released: 2015

Few Vita shoot-’em-ups are as ambitious as this gargantuan game. While many balked at its high digital asking price, it makes perfect sense when you realize just how much content Taito’s magnificent shooter actually contains. In addition to featuring all the extras from the numerous arcade versions, including the 3,000 stage variations of Chro൲nicles mode, Saviours al🤡so adds the brand-new Chronicle Saviours mode.

This gives you over 180 more stages to tackle and all sorts of delicious goodies to unlock, from new ships to bosses and audio tracks. Just be mindful that the nature of the arcade games means Arcade and EX modes are severely letterboxed, which can make it tough to tackle th🏅e water-themed bosses.

20. Mortal Kombat

Best PS Vita games - a screenshot of Mortal Kombat.

(Image credit: Warner Bros. I𓃲nteractive Entertainmen🧸t)

Developer: NetherRealm Studios
Released: 2012

The PS Vita is blessed with a wealth of great fighters, but few can compete with the insane amount of content that Mortal Kombat ♎offers. While its online servers have long since shut, it features virtually all the content from the PS3’s Komplete Edition.

This means there’s a genuinely excellent story mode to battle through, sickening X-ray moves to enjoy, and a gargantuan Challenge Tower to climb. Amazingly, the PS Vita version improves on this by retaining all the excellent gameplay and adding new costume꧋s, touch-based finishing moves, and a brand-new Challenge Tower with 150 new missions to complete.

19. Lumines Electronic Symphony

Best PS Vita games - a screenshot of Lumines Electronic Symphony.

Developer: Q Entertainment
Released: 2012

Q Entertainment’s sound-based puzzle game made its 🌌debut on the PSP, and this new Vita iteration keeps the same base mechanics while adding a fewꦡ clever wrinkles of its own. Touch-based controls are usable as well as a more traditional set-up, while musical skins are now unlocked via a new experience system.

Two brand-new blocks are introduced allowing you to shuffle on-screen blocks or chain together blocks and there’s a new Voyage mode where you must continually create colored squares, which is easier said than done. Coupled with a stunning soundtrack 🌸and the PS Vita’s OLED display it makes for a beautiful fusion of sight and sound.

18. Dragon Quest Builders

Best PS Vita games - a screenshot of Dragon Quest Builders.

Developer: Square Enix
Released: 2016

As great as Minecraft is, its freeform gameplay certainly isn’t for everyone. If you’re like us and need a little more structure with your digging and building, you’ll find Dragon Quest Builders to be the perfect tonic. It takes the core concept of Mojang's phenomenally successful game but marries it to the popular Dragon Quest universe (aka some of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best JRPGs ever made) and fills it with likable characters.

There's also light RPG mechanics and an engaging story. It’s clever with its structure, too, slowly giving you simple tasks to complete that rarely tax you, but as the game reaches its conclusion, you’ll be overseeing objectives that will be b🍒eyond your wildest dreams.

17. The Walking Dead: Season One

Best PS Vita games - a screenshot of The Walking Dead: Season One.

Developer: Telltale Games
Released: 2013

It’s possible to purchase several TellTale Games titles on PS Vita, but its first entry in the popular Walking Dead series remains its strongest. While the game doesn’t give anywhere near as much𝄹 agency over events as it would like you to believe, there’s no denying the weight of each choice you make, as every decision seemingly dictates the future of protagonist Lee Everett and his young charge, Clementine.

Yes, it’s built on a flimsy game engine that would become ever more problematic with later games, but the distinctive-looking visuals, magnificently written episodes, and numerous tense situations mean your Vita will rarely leave your hands. It is also still one of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best zombie games around today.

16. Rogue Legacy

Best PS Vita games - a screenshot of Rogue Legacy.

Developer: Cellar Door Games
Released: 2014

This charming roguelike is one of several PS Vita games that didn’t rec🎃eive a physical release, meaning you should pick it up sooner rather than later. The clever mechan💦ics at the base of Cellar Door Games’ adventure is that dying lets you carry on playing with a direct descendant of your character.

They’ll often have abilities that can enhance or hinder your progress, from shortsightedness to smashing anything they blunder through. You soon realize that every trait can be exploited inಌ some way, meaning there are always new ways to explore the procedurally generated castle. It’s certainly not an easy game, but an excellent skill tree and perfe🍨ctly balanced combat mechanics make each new run that little bit easier.

15. Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward

Best PS Vita games - a screenshot of Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward.

Developer: Chunsoft
Released: 2012

While the Zero Escape series started on Nintendo’s DS, its two concluding parts can be played on Vita, and both of them are cracking yarns. Like 999, Virtue’s Last Reward is split between narrative-based story sections that allow you to interact with the eight other characters who are trapped with you in an unknown location and 🉐Escape sections that require you to solve numerous tricky puzzles so you can progress the engaging story.

The masterstroke here, though, is the addition of a new Flowchart that allows you to ins𝓰tantly jump to key points of the story rather than playing through the entire game again.

14. Ys: Memories Of Celceta

Best PS Vita games - a screenshot of Ys: Memories Of Celceta.

Developer: Nihon Falcom
Released: 2012

The Ys series has been knocking around since the late '80s, and Memories is actually a remake of the fourth game in the series, wh🌺ich itself has two versions by two different developers. Despite its confusing lineage, Celceta is a cracking update that features dynamic combat mechanics, a wealth of interesting characters to meet, and a genuine sense of exploration as the amnesia-stricken Adol attempts to piece his memories together while mapping a gigantic forest.

It’s a great example of modernizing a 16-bit game for a new audie🎐nce and is filled with great story beats and some fantastic boss fights. Adol’s Vita adventures would continue with Ys VIII: Lacrimosa Of Dana in 2016.

13. Velocity 2X

Best PS Vita games - a screenshot of Velocity 2X.

Developer: FuturLab
Released: 2014

While its physical release is rapidly escalating in price, there’s always the digital version (while the store remains open). Regardless of which option you do plump for it’s unlikely you’ll be disappointed with FuturLabs’ slick shooter/run-and-gun hybrid🌞. As with the original Velocity, most levels take part in your Quarp Jet, which has the handy ability to teleport, but you can a♏lso now dock at various points.

It’s here that the game introduces new run-and-gun stages as Kai Tana tears around cleverly constructed levels. She’s as nimble as her♒ jet and can also warp, meaning you’ll have plenty of clever puzzles to solve as you race through each stage. Exc🥀eptionally fast-paced and blessed with an astonishing soundtrack, Velocity 2X has some of the most frenetic blasting you can experience on Sony’s console.

12. Odin Sphere Leifthrasir

Best PS Vita games - a screenshot of Odin Sphere Leifthrasir.

Developer: Vanillaware
Released: 2013

Although Vanillaware’s game started off on PS2, the PS Vita revision has gone through so many changes it can be considered a standalone (and much better) release. Combat has been dramatically overhauled compared to the PS2 original; numerous new enemies and bosses have be🍃en added, and clunky 🐽elements like the inventory, POW gauge, and Psypher systems have been completely overhauled.

The numerous new tweaks, greatly improved framerate, and additional quality-of-life touches that Vanillawaꦿre has added really allow you to enjoy Odin Spher🥃e’s delightful story as it unfolds and intertwines via the five distinct characters you get to control.

11. Guacamelee!

Best PS Vita games - a screenshot of Guacamelee!

Developer: DrinkBox Studios
Released: 2013

There are a number of entertaining Metroidvanias on Sony’s handheld, but our favorite remains this larger-than-life effort from DrinkBox Studios. As you’d expect from its name, combat plays an important role in Guacamelee! with luchador Juan receiving many combat-based moves that allow him to effortlessly navigate the village of Santa Luchita a♐nd best its many inhabitants.

Filled with delightful characters, a drop-in and out two-player mode, a sharp script, and p♔lenty of memorable boss encounters, Juan’s adventure spans both the land of the living and the dead and never fails to impress. What a pity PS Vita owners ♌never received the sequel.

Read our 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Guacamelee! review.

10. Uncharted: Golden Abyss

Best PS Vita games - a screenshot of Uncharted: Golden Abyss.

Developer: Bend Studio
Released: 2011

Even today, we still can’t work out how Bend Studio managed to cram a full-fat Uncharted experience into a 7.2-inch console. Granted, it’s hampered by some rather naff touchscreen-based controls (many of which can thankfully be turned off), but that’s the only criticism we really have. In fact, we still rank this title in our list of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best Uncharted games ever made.

The action is relentless; there are some spectacular set-pieces to gape at, and ജNolan North and Richard McGonagle return 𒆙as Drake and Sully. Filled with inventive touches from using the PS Vita’s motion controls to aim your gun, holding your Vita up to a light source, or rubbing its screen to solve puzzles, there’s always a lovely new flourish to discover. Sadly, the Vita never received another adventure quite like it.

Read our Uncharted: Golden Abyss review.

9. Spelunky

Best PS Vita games - a screenshot of Spelunky.

Developer: Mossmouth
Released: 2013

The original Limited Run Games release of Derek Yu’s masterful platformer sold ꦺout in a couple of minu🌊tes, making it quite a pricey purchase nowadays. There’s a reason for the high demand, though; it’s quite simply the best platformer you can play on Vita, and considering the competition, that’s high praise indeed.

Spelunky’s brutal difficulty will no ✱doubt put many off, but if you stick with it you’ll find one of the most rewarding experiences around. While stages are procedurally generated, the enemies and traps that inhabit them obey certain laws, and you’ll need to understand those in order to make p✅rogress. Just make sure to chain your Vita to your wrist, as you may want to throw it at times.

Read our 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Spelunky review.

8. Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc

Best PS Vita games - a screenshot of Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc.

Developer: Spike
Released: 2013

This excellent visual novel and murder mystery game is cleverly split into two distinctive p𒊎arts. The School Life sections feature dating sim elements and have you chatting to your peers as you try and work out who is knocking off other students and the identity of a creepy talking bear called Monokuma. You also getಞ the opportunity to investigate rooms and pick up clues similar to the Phoenix Wright games.

Class Trials, on the other hand, crop up whenever a murder victim is found,🎉 and you then have to work out who the killer is using multiple choice answers or literal “Truth Bullets” to hopefully catch someone in a lie and save your own skin in the process. Sharply written and expertly paced, it’s one of the finest examples of the genre on V🎃ita. Its two Vita sequels also come highly recommended.

7. Dragon's Crown

Best PS Vita games - a screenshot of Dragon's Crown.

Developer: Vanillaware
Released: 2013

Vanillaware’s vibrant brawler is also available on PS3 and PS4, but the Vita’s stunning OLED screen punches up the action no end. Dragon’s Crown is essentially a modern-day evolution of the scrolling fighters of old but ramps things up considerably thanks to its rich combat system, some solid RPG mechanics, six distinctive character classes that all play differently from each ot🅺her, and some t꧑ruly huge dungeons to navigate.

Whiꦜle it lacks the multiplayer of its bigger brothers, the enemy AI is balanced enough that you don’t mind battl𝕴ing the game’s often stunning bosses on your own. The studio’s earlier release, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, is equally worthy of your time, but quite pricey now.

6. Severed

Best PS Vita games - a screenshot of Severed.

Developer: DrinkBox Studios
Released: 2016

DrinkBox Studios pushed out some wonderfully creative stuff on Vita, and this epic slash-’em-up from the Toronto-based studio is as challenging as it is beautiful. Blessed with a surprisingly rich story, Severed casts you as Sasha, a pluck🌞y young girl on a quest to find her missing family. With a demonic blade in hand, you swipe at the PS Vita’s screen to deliver quick slashes, slow swipes, and clever counters as you’re constantly assaulted by grotesque nightmares that are vividly brought to life with the studio’s distinctive art style.

Each monstrosity in the game has its own weaknesses, and it becomes a mad juggling act as you switch between multiple targets to exploit the chinks in their defenses. Severed is one of those r🦩are Viva titles where its touched-based controls improve the action rather than detract from it, so download it now and prepare to give y🎐our fingers a proper workout.

5. TxK

Best PS Vita games - a screenshot of TxK.

Developer: Llamasoft
Released: 2014

Jeff Minter has b༺een tweaking and evolving Tempest for years now and with TxK he comes pretty close to perfecting it. At its heart, TxK is a tube shooter, meaning you zip around the edges of elaborate shapes, shooting at anything in your path, before proceeding to the next level. It’s simple enough in its execution, but TxK works so well because Minter is a master at creatin൲g Twitch reaction-based shooters, and TxK is one of his finest-ever creations.

Each level not only looks incredible thanks to the trippy psyche🤪delic visuals and the Vita’s OLED screen, but they also sound incredible, too, and it’s this masterful blend of shooting and aesthetics that makes TxK so hard to put down. It has an alluring pull that’s impossible to ignore and it’s a crying shame that it never received a physical release.

4. Hotline Miami

Best PS Vita games - a screenshot of Hotline Miami.

Developer: Dennaton Games
Released: 2013

Dennaton Games’ viciously violent top-down shooter is a♉s much a puzzle game as it is an all-out blaster. Each meticulously structured level requires you to navigate rooms filled with goons and achieve your goals as violently as possible. Doors can be slammed into enemies, weapons can be thrown at them and dogs can be violently stabbed.

No deed is too dirty for your protagonist, Jacket, and you’ll have to do a lot of nasty stuff and don several animal masks (all of which grant you distinct powers) before you reach the game’s conclusion. Hotline Miami is as stylish as it is vibrant, thanks to its neon-soaked pixel art and solid writing, and shouldn't😼 be missed. Its equally violent sequel, Wrong Number, is also available on Sony’s console.

3. Tearaway

Best PS Vita games - a screenshot of Tearaway.

Developer: Media Molecule
Released: 2013

Whi🐎le an enhanced version would make its way to PS4, we feel Media Molecule’s inventive platformer fares best on Vita. Like many early Vita games, Tearaway makes heavy use of the PS Vita’s features, but here, they enhance the on-screen action and never feel like forced-in gimmicks.

You can touch the back screen to poke your fingers into the world and interact with it, create various things for the world’s inhabitants via the touchscreen, and even appear in the game as a Teletubbies-styled sun. Outside of its many innovative flourishes, Tearaway takes place in ♔a beautifully constructed paper world full of folds, creases, and wrinkles and has a charming story at its center that’s every bit as memorable as Tearaway’s ever-evolving game mechanics.

2. Persona 4 Golden

Best PS Vita games - a screenshot of Persona 4 Golden.

Developer: Atlus
Released: 2011

This tremendous remake of the PS2 game was originally planned for PSP, but Atlas moved development to Sony’s new console, and the end result is one of the system’s most engrossing games. Persona 4 was already a staggeringly deep experience on PS2, but this new Vita revision expands things dramatically with plenty of new content, including a brand-new character called Marie, as well as expanded storylines and social links, and the introduction of new Personas, brand-new story elements and greatly enhanceꦇd visuals.

Even without all these delicious extras, Persona 4 is elevated to greatness thanks to its deep combat mechanics, wonderfully flexible gameplay, unique dungeons, and exceptionally written characters who are as ജinteresting as they are varied. Indeed, there’s so much going on in Atlus’ g🦩ame that it’s easy to forget you’re supposed to be tracking down a serial killer.

1. Gravity Rush

Developer: Japan Studio
Released: 2012

Few videogame superheroes express their available powers as well as the main protagonist of Japan Studio’s sensational action-adventure game. Kat has the power to manipulate gravity, and while it takes a little while to master, you’ll soon feel invincible as you run along the sides 🍒of buildings, propel yourself at enemies, and even master the power of flight. It creates a wonderful sense of freedom as you explore the breathtaking city of Hekseville and complete quests for its memorable NPCs while looking for the tucked-away gems that will ꩵexpand Kat’s health and grant her new abilities.

Not since Crackdown has the feeling of exploring presented so many rewards, and it’s easy to lose focus from the main adventure as you explore Hekseville’s many nooks and crannies. Japan Studio’s game is everything you want from a killer app:ඣ it offers stunning visuals, does a spectacular job of showcasing the PS Vita’s unique attributes, and is mechanically excellent. It’s quite simply the best experience you can have on Sony’s handheld.

澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Persson has had his fill of creating huge, open games. The founder of Mojang revealed last week that he will no longer work on space sim 0x10cꦕ.

The project was put "on ice" earlier this year. Notch wrote on that tremendous 🃏expectati🐬ons from fans worldwide sapped his creative drive: something he didn't have to worry about before Minecraft made him into a near-instant video game celebrity.

He didn't leave development entirelꦛy, he just began making less-huge gamesꦰ--like 7 Day FPS project .

"I want to 🌞do smaller games that can fail," Notch wrote. "I want to experiment and develop and think and tinker and tweak. So that’s what I’m going to do."

The spacefaring dream of 0x10c isn't over entirely,꧃ however. Notch said he's looking forward to a fan-made project called which intends to continue (in spirit, not code) where he left off.

Kids love 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Minecraft. The procedurally generated survive-and-crea🐼te ga𓆏me hides nothing more objectionable than some creepy monsters, but its multiplayer frontiers can get a bit more grimey.

Mojang is pu💦tting together a new subscription service, called Minecraf🤪t Realms, to make online play safer and easier for kids and their parents. Mojang CEO Carl Manneh told it24 (via ) about the studio's plans:

"Our customers [for Realms] are parents who are tired of trying to act as server adminisꦅtrators on behalf of their kids," Manneh said. "Minecraft Realms will be a simpler kind of service, aimed at families and kids."

Subscribers get their own worlds, the same as any other single or multiplayer server. But Mojang provides an easy-to-manage friends list to determine access privilege🔜s, and only one player needs to have a Realms a🎀ccount per world.

Mojang hasn't nailed down a price y♊et, but it will likely be $10 to $15 a month. Manneh said he's curious to see how the community responds to Realms, which will also support Minecraft: Pocket Edition.

"[S]ince we have about 10 million paying PC gamers and, soon, as many mobile gamers, there's definitely potential," he said. "And yes, if we look ahead, I do think [Realms will] be the biggest source of income in the future, and to bring in more money in🔯 total than the game itself."

He also said that if he ends up liking the Rift he'll be sugge🅘sting that current Minecraft director Jens Bergensten implement support, though he said it's Bergensten's final call.

Minecraft on the Oculus Rift sounds utterly amazing. So now you're all caught up on Notch's April Fool, the Swedish trickster's about ready to meta-fool you with the announcement that Mars Effect really is his ne♍xt project, albeit without that difficult name. Features promised for the title so far include hard science fiction, “lots of engineering,” an advanced economy system, space battles, and a fully-working 16-bit computer front-end for tinkering by programming-savvy players. This “can be used to control yoꦯur entire ship,” says Notch, “or just to play games on while waiting for a large mining operation to finish.”

Persson says the game's “still very early in development,” but hopes to adopt a Minecraft-esque, player-driven development model. The finished gamꦿe will likely run on a subscription system, says Notch, necessary to power the game's substantial persistent backend. Jump on and spread the news!

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Mojang ]]> Mojang Studios co-founder Markus “No🎉tch” Persson has declared an end to the developer's legal row with ZeniMax over the right to us🌌e “Scrolls” as the name for its upcoming . This weekend, the Minecraft creator followers his studio won permission to continue using the “Scrolls” name, provided it doesn't pose a direct threat to Bethesda's Elder Scrolls franchise, explaining, “The settlement is that we give them the trademark, get to keep the name, and won't make an elder scrolls competitor using the name.”

Carl Manneh, Mojang's managing director, issued a more on the studio's website, stating Mojang and Bethesda (owned by ZeniMax) had settled their lawsuit and were “friends again”, adding, “To answer the big question – yes Scrolls is still going to be called Scrolls. To answer the second question – we aren’t going to keep the trade mark. For us this was never about a trade mark but being able to uꦗse Scrolls as the name of our game which we can – Yey.”

Persson later that Mojang does not owe ZeniMax any damages as a result of the court casﷺe, but he was confident both lꦦegal teams would also walk away victorious, , “The actual document I signed was like a billion pages, so at least we know a bunch of lawyers got rich. Good, wouldn't want them to starve.”

The legal fisticuffs over “Scrolls” started last August when ZeniMax's lawyers 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:served Mojang with papers stating the use of the name “Scrolls” for its next project infringed upon the Bethesda's Elder Scrolls trademark. The dispute 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:went before a judge one month later, and in October, Mojang 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:won an interim junction allow꧑ওing it to retain the contentious title until a final verdict was reached.

Update: ZeniMax released a statement confirming it received all rights to the “Scrolls” trademark, but has licensed it to Mojang for use on the upcoming card game, as well as any sequels or DLC.

"We are pleased to have settled this matter with Mojang amicably,” said Robert Altman, Chairman and ꦇCEO of ZeniMax. “The Elder Scrolls is an important brand to us, and with this settlement we were able to protect ꦦour valuable property rights while allowing Mojang to release their digital card game under the name they preferred.”

Now that it's all settled, it'll ﷺbe interesting to see what Mojang does with the name, and if the fight was worth it.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Mojang ]]> Right in time for Mojang's upcoming Las Vegas-based Minecraft-focused gaming convention, MineCon, the indie developer has announced something that few indie developers ever get to announce: their game has sold 🐲ov🅺er four million copies since release. Mojang's Markus Persson (or, as his friends call him, notch) made the announcement official on , tweeting, "4milyay."

Not bad for a game that'sཧ still in beta (it's set to officially launch this month, dropp✅ing the "beta" moniker and going to full-blown 1.0).

Mojang has a lot to be happy about right now. Their first game is selling extremely well, they're about to launch a gaming convention, and it looks like Bethesda is finally leaving them alone ☂about the whole "" thing.

Though some have argued that Minecraft's time in the spotlight is over, this announcement is as good proof as any that the indie hit is here to stay. Checking out their sales data (which is available on their website for anyone to ), the game is still selling thousands of copies every day, filling th⛦e bank accounts of Mojang and fueling their future projects, as well as giving them the funds necessary to continue updating ꦡMinecraft with new content on a regular basis.

Just three months ago the game had hit three million downloads, meaning that over o💜ne million people picked it up since then. That means the incredibly small studio earned over 20 million dollars from the game in the past three months alone, and that's not counting the money Microsoft is paying them to get the game on their system or the sales from merchandise, which we're seeing all over the place at gaming conventions.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Mojang ]]> The lawsuit that Mojang claimed would "set a bad example for the industry" may be over. Well, at least for now. According to Markus Persson's (Notch) account, the Swedish developer has won the interim injunction against Bethesda over the rights to use the "Scrolls" name. "We won the interim injunction!" Persson said, "We can keep using the name "Scrolls"."

But there's still a chance that it could go on. Persson also explained that Bethesda/ZeniMax could appeal the ruling, drag🅺ging this case on even further.

For those who haven't been following the case, here's the scoop: Bethesda claimed that Mojang's Scrolls was infringing on their copyright for The Elder Scrolls and Mojang didn't back down. It's obviously a stretch, but many have said that it's important for companies to threaten lawsuits when it comes to copyright laws, for fear of losing their properties' names. We're thinki🍎ng that the fact that it went this far is proof enough that ZeniMax is committed to protecting its name. In other words: they're not all bark.

What, exactly, does this mean? While it's not the same as Mojang "winning💛" the full-fledged case, it means that, for the time being, Mojang can continue to use the name "Scrolls" for their card-based PC game. Hopefu𒈔lly, Bethesda will take the hint and bow out of the case with a (very) little grace. We'd personally love to hear that they're dropping the lawsuit entirely, since we'll likely forget all about it when Skyrim releases next month. If they keep pushing after that, though... well, we can't make any promises.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Mojang ]]> Curious as to what the opening scenes of T൩he Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening would look like if they were painstakingly recreated as a stop-motion animation in Minecraft? Probably a little something like this...

The video was produced by the MinecraftA2Z's team behind last month's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:animated Minecraft Tetris short.♔ According to the group's , the project took over fiv🧸e weeks to complete, and is composed of 1167 images plus “a few seconds of video”.

The final result is an impressive feat to say the least – so much so it has Minecraft creator Markus 'Notch' Persson questioning its🤪 authenticity. Critiquing the video on Reddit, he compared it to other stop motion projects he deemed to be fake, saying, “This stop motion video feels exactly the🀅 same to me. It's too perfect, it would be much easier to automate, and it spends a lot of effort trying to convince me it's real.”

Members of MinecraftA2Z's attempted to convince Notch no corners were cut in the creation of their animation, and directed him to their documentary video as proof. Regardless, Notch remained wary𒉰, adding, “A timelapse video of people building it would convince me. The 1,167 screens won't, as I could extract them myself from that [YouTube] video. <![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ AU in Mojang ]]> The term “game-changer” is bandied about far too much, but one instance i﷽n which it's seldom used – despite being completely, literally applicable for a change – is in the ✃area of decent-sized game updates. Minecraft, for instance, is preparing to open wide for Version 1.8, a heaping helping of overhauls that can without a hint of hyperbole be described as palpably game-changing. To prepare for the occasion, here's an epic trailer from Mojang pals Hat Films.

Version 1.8 – dated imprecisely for “soon”– adds a powerful “Creative Mode” to Minecra♒ft, unlocking all the game's blocks and the power of flight. However, as the trailer shows, the build also bakes more “game-like” elements into Minecraft, such as a few new enemies: the nightmarish Enderman becomes hostile if gazed upon, whereas the Blue Spider populates the abandoned mineshafts that have been added to the update. Combat and control mechanics♑ have been improved, NPC villages dot the landscape, a more complex fractal-based randomization mechanic has been put in place, and... well, Minecraft 1.8 is a much bigger update than you're used to, okay?
