This is Call of Duty we're talking about, so we're not expecting any major shake-ups to the winning first-person shooter formula that's kept the franchise at the top of the food chain for so long. However, we must assume a num🎶ber of additions introduced in 2024's Black Ops 6 – namely, the omni-movement system – are being kept around alongside refreshed mechanics from Black Ops 2 due to the return to its futuristic setting. All the specifics are expected to be revealed when the Black Ops 7 event💟 happens this summer.

What we do know already is the story campaign, developed by ♉Raven Software, will𒉰 be playable in co-op for the first time since Black Ops 3 (2015). For all the multiplayer challenges, just load into Small Map Moꦜshpit or 10v10 Moshpit. These have ample opportunities to earn Score and sp🐻am low-level Scorestreaks like UAVs, which knocks out most of the challenges on the list.

Zombies Challenges

For Zombies, you can just rush straight to the part of the map you need and ignore everything else to blow through these challenges. Liberty Falls is arguably the best map for these challenges since it's fairly easy and has easily accessible perks and equipment. Yo🐻u can also just start over repeatedly so you can grind exclusively in low rounds with weaker Zombies.

With the Healing Aura challenge, for example, you can just start🍷 new matches over and over so you don't have to wait for the ability to recharge. The ♏same goes for opening doors. You can just leave the match after a few rounds and restart so there are more cheap doors to open.

Warzone Challenges

As for Warzone, most of the challenges will take a while if you do them with randoms. Even with a coordinated squad, Warzone challenges just take too long compared ♕to the others. You don't have to win these matches, so just eliminate yourself and throw the match in the Gulag a few times to get this challenge out of the way.

Every kill will net you some Blaze Bucks as long as you manage to collect them from eliminated enemies before getting slain yourself, so small maps and fast-paced modes are king here.

Joint Operations is your best bet for farming Blaze Bucks since it🅠 includes a s🐷lew of modes like Hardpoint and Kill Order plus wacky modifiers that provide score bonuses, mess with gravity, change movement speed, and more.

There's also the new Blazetown 24/7 playlist, a 4/20-themed spin on the fan-favorite Nuketown. It's just N𓂃uketown with a new color palette, so you should already know what to expect. This map has always been great for farming, and that still applies for B꧒laze Bucks since you'll be able to get many kills per match.

Best Zombies Blaze Bucks Farming Method

Zombies may not be heavily advertised in the Blaze of Glory event, but you can still grind this round-based survival mode to earn 🍒event rewards. Just like in multiplayer matches, defeated Zombies will occasionally drop Blaze Bucks that can be exchanged for event items.

It's not as efficient as multiplayer, but Zombies is still a solid alternative for players who just want to chill out in a PVE mode instead of putting up with sweaty online lobbies. Since Blaze of Glory ꦛisn't an XP-based event, don't worry about extracting early to maximize XP gains. Just blast through as many Zombies as you can.

Best Warzone Blaze Bucks Farming Method

Things slow down in Warzone qܫuite a b𝄹it since engagements don't happen nearly as often as they do in multiplayer, but Blaze Bucks can also be obtained from supply crates in battle royale matches.

Because of this, it's actually more efficient tꦚo just run around POIs opening as many crates as you can. You can do this in respawn modes like Resurgence, and there are two limited-time Resurgence playlists currently available during the event period as well. You should probably avoid busier locations like the Stadium or Superstore. The quieter outskirts of Verdansk still have plenty of supply caches to find.

The train is also back in Verdansk with the Season Three Reloaded update, and that's also a great place to rack up some kills and fi💃nd some supply caches. It's a risky bet, but there's not much at stake if you're playing respawn modes Resurgence or Plunder. Since you get Blaze Bucks much faster than regular XP in Warzone, farming the Blaze of Glory event in Warzone is much easier than grinding the High Art event pass.

Best Ways to Farm XP for Call of Duty High Art

As always, Double XP Tokens are the way to go if you want to blaze through the High Art event pass. XP in any game mode, whether that be multiplayer, Zombies, or Warzone, will count for the High Art event.

Also, you don't have to buy the premium track right from the get go. When you buy the premium track, rewards will be retroactively unlocked depending on how much XP you've﷽ earned. If you have enough XP to get the Host Rogen skin, you can just buy the premium event track to claim all the extra goodies.

Best Black Ops 6 XP Grind

To get the most XP in Black Ops 6 multiplayer, just pop a Double XP Token and grind as many objective-based modes as you can. The newly-added Demolition playlist is great for earning XP since basically every kill will have some bonus XP tacked onto it, and Dღomination is a classic mode for XP grinding for a reason.

The absolute best way to farm High Artꦆ XP is the Blaze of Glory event, though. Blaze of Glory starts on May 6 and adds a new limited-time mode called Joint Operations to Black Ops 6. This playlist includes multiple modes like Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, and Domination, ꧙but it also includes modifiers that randomly pop up throughout matches.

You can experience third-person camera switches, low gravity, and more during Blaze of Glory matches, but the best modifier adds a +420 points score bonus to everything you do, granting huge chunks🦋 of XP for very little effort. The Blaze of Glory event is only available for the second week of High Art, though, so it's still a good idea to farm some XP in standard multiplayer before it goes live.

Best Zombies XP Grind

The usual Zombies XP grinding 🐎method still applies here, so enabling the Rampage modifier at the start of a matꦺch and then attempting to Exfil at round 11 or 16 is the best way to earn High Art Rewards.

There's a new limited-time mode called Zombie Snacks releasing alongside Season Three Reloaded, however,♛ and that's an even better way to get XP. It replaces your health bar with a constantly depleting energy meter that can only be replenished by picking up snacks dropped by slain Zombies.

Not only will you get some e𒀰xtra points and XP during this mode, but completing the main quest on any Zombies map in this mode will net you 15,000 XP on top of everything else. Grab a squad and run through some of the easier maps like Liberty Falls to earn High Art rewards as fast as possible.

Best Warzone XP Grind

Warzone is a bit harder to get XP in because you won't see playersꦍ as often as you would in multiplayer, but there are sဣtill options for XP grinders who want to earn High Art rewards this way.

Respawn modes are the🎀 way to go here, and thankfully, there are some new limited-time modes to help you grind XP. Massive Resurgence ups the player count to 120 for Verdansk Resurgence, and High Trip Resurgence gives every player predetermined loadouts and adds special perks to the loot pool.

Either of these modes works well for XP farming, so take your pick and drop in to earn those High Art skins and rewards. This is also a good chance to check out the returning train added back to Verdansk in the Season Three Reloaded upda𝓰te.

Last month, it had found and fixed an exploit in Ricochet that resulted in the banning of "a small number of legitimate players," but a hacker going by Vizor told the number is a whole lot higher than that, and that they know because th꧒ey're the one responsible.

"I real♕ized that Ricochet anti-cheat was likely scanning players' dev✃ices for strings to determine who was a cheater or not," Vizor said. "This is fairly normal to do but scanning this much memory space with just an ASCII string and banning off of that is extremely prone to false positives," said Vizor.

"The same day I found this, I got myself banned by sending a whisper mes𝓰sage on Call of Duty to myself with one of th🌠e strings in the message contents."

To maximize banning efficiency, Vizor said they developed a script that would program them to automatically join games, post messages with these tr𒈔igger words, leave the game, and then rinse and repeat. Activision would occasionally add new signatures to Ricochet, and Vizor would dig through the code to find those and use them to continue getting players banned.

"I was most active with the trolling when [the] Ricochet anti-cheat team would add new stﷺring signatures," they said. "🉐So if I check the [memory] region and see a new string, I will go crazy with it so they think they are detecting real cheaters."

Ultimately, a cheat developer called Zeebler, who had watched Vizor use the exploit to get players banned, provided a detailed overview of the exploit to Twitter, which is what tipped A🗹ctivision off. "It was nice to see it get fixed and see unbans," said an apparently unfazed Vizor. "I had my fun."

You can grind for XP the proper way by completing matches, being a good sport, and working your way toward an honest win. Sure. Some comments on the post claim tha♉t friendly fire headshots also dish out XP, weirdly, but Expel says "you can only do 🍎that for 300xp total, and once you've gotten hardcore ricochet, you can't flash bang them anymore. I do wonder if it tracks for your total with camos."

Either way, it's probably a trick you want to take advantage of before its gone for good. Just, maybe try it on some willing buddies who can stay still while you flashbang them again and again, instead of ruininღg a random stranger's match in the pursui⛦t of a measly 15XP. Or simply git gud and target friends and foes alike with the same grenade - really min max that betrayal, I'd say.

Set during the Gulf War's Operation Desert Storm, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 plays with real-life history in some bold ways that don't quite come together in and of themselves. One mission sees you storm Saddam Hussein's palace, but he's not at home. Another takes place at a then-governor Bill Clinton fundraiser, but you only see him from afar, and he never speaks. Some of these moments have shocking twists, but there's the sense – particularly in the case of the mission within the former – that Activision is toeing the line with what's acceptable to use for their narrative, especially given the early '90s are fairly recent history (it was recent, right?). Instead, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is best when it's doing its own thing, and it's able to pull it off with all the impact of a well-specced shotgun. Even where it operates in a more traditional fashion, missions are far from the conveyor belt of shootouts you might expect. Optional objectives and routes buck the linearity trend of past series favorites, while losing none of the spectacle. The level design is often striking and beautiful, managing to combine incredibly well-crafted environments while retaining the feeling of player control when it comes to moving the objective forward. One mission, a casino heist, wonderfully plays with multiple perspectives to deliver some of the greatest thrills the series has ever offer🎶ed. 

But even that's not Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 at its most creative. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War (which this picks up from more or less directly) featured one surprising mission of hallucinatory horror. The Black Ops 6 campaign picks up this idea and runs with it as fast as its littl𝔍e legs will carry it, shifting set dressing from battlefields to unsettling and creepy l🐻aboratories that look like a mash-up of Control and BioShock in its design. Zombies, drug-induced visions, and other seemingly supernatural elements make up a surprisingly large chunk of the eight hours or so that the campaign will last you. This includes a boss that made me say some very naughty words before I was finally victorious. It all makes for a campaign that's a welcome and well-paced change from just blowing things up and shooting people in the face from great distances.

Dial up destruction

The changes and additions to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's online modes aren't as drastic, but they're no less effective. The headline here is 'omnimovement' (also present in the campaign), which means you can now sprint, dive, and slide in any direction. It's a little more nuanced than that, but that's all you really need to know. It's a subtle change, but a✤ very, very important one. 

It might not seem like a huge overhaul on the surface – past games have played with speedy movement before – but in action it's intuitive and opens up a brand new angle on tactical play. Yes, peopl൩e can (and do) dive and slide sideways from behind corners, and yes, it looks extremely cool when this tactic is successful. That's a tiny minority of the time in my experience, though. Usually people just helpfully slide straight into my hail of bullets, and once, I saw somebody dive right off the edge of the map.

Running sideways is a bit silly when you think about it, but in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 it means you can now sprint, slide, or dive into a blind spot without losing precious microseconds having to turn around to face whoever might be waiting for you there first. Speed, in fact, is a large part of the appeal here. You're always moving at a decent pace🍸 even before using tactical sprint, so the wait for the next firefight is never overly long. While some may still prefer the weightier feel of the earlier Call of Duty: Modern Warfare reboot games, Black Ops 🥂6's pacier nature feels more finely tuned than Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's attempt to speed things up – which, while we appreciated the effort, over-emphasized constant slides and hops.

Spec op(erators)

The weapons are missing the sense of heft that was typically afforded in the revised Modern Warfare trilogy, but this is more than made up ꦡfor by the joyful movement. The maps have been designed to make the most of omnimovement, with plenty of waist-high obstacles to mantle, and low cover to dive behind. Lowtown is one of my favorites, its murky canals offering another layer of escape and ambush opportunities to literally dive into. I love the simple pleasure of sliding down a set of stairs, enhanced further by the subtle bumps and jumps of the DualSense if you play on PS5 like I do. 

It's disappointing to see Call of Duty continue to refuse to shake up the way it hands out perks, scorestreaks, weapons, an📖d attachments. Depending on your preferred loadout and playstyle, it could easily take a dozen hours or more before you have access to everything you need in 🐲order to play exactly how you want to. If there's a playstyle you gravitate towards, get ready to grind out the ladder for another year running while you assemble it once again.

There's at least one fresh twist within the perk system, however – choosing to equip three perks of the same category gifts you a fourth that can give a significant boost to certain playstyles. Three Enforcer perks gives you a temporary boost to speed and health regen on kill; Recon lets you briefly see enemies through walls on respawn, and gives you a High Alert style indicator for off-screen e🍸nemies; and Specialist makes equipment visible through walls, deploys equipment and Field Upgrades faster, and boosts your objective scoring.

Almost class-like, it gives you a nudge towards fulfilling a certain type of role for your fireteam. Those playing with pals will definitely get a lot of value from the Recon specialist perk, allowing you to call out targets lying in wait over comms☂. Though it does mean you can feel a bit on the backfoot if you'd rather mix-and-match, forgoing a potential perk ꦬin the process. Still, I can't fault seeing a bit of experimentation in the tried-and-tested Call of Duty multiplayer formula. It gives us one more avenue we're excited to see evolve further down the line.

Looking at the bigger picture, Treyarch has been careful to take some welcome crowd-pleasing measures in order to ensure that mul🐼tiplayer doesn't feel underbaked at launch. There are 16 maps, for example, so you'd have toꦆ be incredibly unlucky to keep getting outvoted and forced to play the same one over and over again. Four of those are Strike maps, the teeny ones used for Gunfight which, yes, is available to play from day one (as it always should be – the two-versus-two mode has fast become a firm favorite of mine).

Face Off is also available for immediate play, so if you like the chaos of six-versus-six games on maps that aren't strictly speaking designed to accommodate them, you're in luck. Many of the maps have already become firm favorites, often thanks to delightful bits of design detail of the quality we've come to expect from the series – look out for the actual functional diving board ♕in Vault, which is a particular highlight!

With smart changes to movement and some key quality-of-life improvements, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 simply offers some of the best multiplayer shooting we've seen in years. I love the way that the grenade reticule now makes it easy to judge how long that frag you're cooking has until it's ready to backfire in spectacularly embarrassing fashion. The distinctive whirr of an approaching RCXD, the lovingly crafted reload animations, the remote control rocket launcher scorestreak which I found, to my utter d🐻elight, can be used to destroy a UAV with skill and a little luck… they're all jigsaw pieces that come together to make a very attractive picture. Now, if only they'd get rid of that clumsy Call of Duty HQ l🅰auncher.

After spending far too many unblinking hours in Black Ops 6's phenomenal Zombies mode, the campaign's deeply weird Emergence level seemed like a hazy retinal afterimage. While investigating an abandoned laboratory in Kentucky, protagonist Case falls down an elevator shaft (which is starting to feel like a rite of passage for Call of Duty characters) and is exposed to biohazardous gas. The lab's lower levels are overrun with z𓂃ombies, and your goal – to collect four scattered keycards to open an elevator – feels more Resident Evil than Call of Duty. Oh, and did that mannequin just move?

It's been two days since I rolled credits on Black Ops 6's campaign, but I'm still thinking about the inherent weirdness of Emergence. There were moments I adored, but I find it harder to say if I liked it as a whole package – largely because it was unlike anything I've seen in Call of Dutꦦy's history.

Don't blink

The brain-munching elephant in the room is that Emergence is essentially one big Zombies level. Though the undead here are ꧙haꦡllucinations brought on by clouds of psychotropic gas, their bites are every bit as painful as their cousins in Liberty Falls. But unlike Call of Duty's survival game mode, Emergence trades in arcade-y blasting for an attempt at genuine horror.

Surprisingly – shockingly, even – it works several times. The lab itself, a retrofuturistic complex pulled straight from Control or Prey, is divided into four branches: Cognitive Research, Administration, Joint Projects, and Advanced Combat Research. There's a zombified boss fight to complete for a keycard in each area, but the corridors linking each zone up trade thrills for chills. Some of it is subtle, like a wheelchair that wasn't there a moment ago. Other moments are more on the nose – or right in front of it, in the case of one mannequin that moves in for a much closer look when your back is turned. These are moments of quiet𝓰 unease that I didn't think Call of Duty to be capable of, and although Black Ops 6's campaign revolves around similarly looser level structures, this is the most subversive of the lot.

It's not just the creepy factor that wins the day for Emergence. One boss fight begins with a tentacled horror pulling itself out of a camera lens, leading to a ba🌊ttle that's half Gary's ไMod Prop Hunt and half wave survival, all while nostalgic World at War track 115 roars around you. Yet it's the deceptively mundane-sounding Administration branch that sees Treyarch go full horror. Your goal is to find scattered reports and file them for the director – a red mannequin in a locked office room. Other mannequins are posed around the area's bull pen, and after you grab the first report, they creak into life. Unfortunately for my heart, they only move when you look away, which turns Administration into a terrifying hunting ground where you're the prey. Turn your back, and you can hear the dolls creaking and skittering after you. Turn back quickly enough, and you'll catch them just as they freeze in motion – some scrambling in a pack, others reaching out to grab you. Moving to blast some of them apart means briefly looking away from other mannequins, forcing your nerves into a nails-on-blackboard shriek as neither fight nor flight seems particularly feasible.

Partly, I think Administration is so scary because you're not supposed to be in a horror game. You're meant to be in safe, sugary Call of Duty; blasting baddies and blowing up bridges and sometimes even blasting baddies on blown-up bridges. In the same way I don't watch John Wick for thoug⛎ht-provoking philosophical musings, I don't play Call of Duty expecting to be running away from terrifying mannequins.

While that expectation-breaking works to Black Ops 6's favor of Administration, I generally didn't enjoy its more off-the-leash approach in other areas. I will preface this by saying that I seem to be the minority for this, but I didn't enjoy the way you went back and forth from Emergence's hub zone, or mingling with suited donors at the fundraiser in Most Wanted. As much as I'm drawn to the idea of choosing to schmooze, sneak or steal my way through a level, the options there are all a little shallow and tend to feel like picking between path A or B to reaജch the same place. I play Call of Duty for ludicrously over-the-top shooting, Dishonored for immersive sim environments, and never the twain shall meet.

Then again, I probably wouldn't have been scared silly by mannequins if Treyarch catered only to my taste. As much as I want more of this, I do wonder if there are better ways to package it that lean into Call of Duty's more traditional strengths as an on-the-rails shooter. 🌌But hey – what do I know? I'm just a man, standing in front of a game, asking it to chase me with dolls a little bit more.

But after jumping into Black Ops 6's Zombies mode before so much as looking at its multiplayer or campaign, my love for this crawler-squashing series has been revitalized. Initially, I was on the fence. There are a few things that show we'll never fully get back the scrappy, retrospectively lo-fi game mode we once knew. Some of this is relatively small and now the norm, like being able to see zombies' health bars, or guns having signposted rarity levels. Others are bigger – namely being able to fiddle with your loadout, or extracting from a match rather than dying in it. But this is the first time since their introduction that I've felt these changes aren't necessarily bad, because they're complemented by so much Black Ops 6 does right. But given the amount of spawning points and zombies that flood in during later rounds, remaining in Liberty Falls' more open streets is impossible, and by round 10 onward, you'll be hard-pressed to keep any semblance of order to your route. Yet even under duress, the map flows wonderfulꦦly: you can often make an easy getaway when running downhill, as there are rooftops and ziplines to scramble across, but going back the other way is much stickier without the aerial advantage.

Terminus, on the other hand, makes Liberty Falls look infinitely vast. This overrun prison is o🦋ld-school in layout, beginning in a single hall before branching out in a web of small, oppressive hallways and rooms. Some areas require you to defend a charging power cell before the next zone will unlock, which is a fiendish trick from Treyarch as you're effectively locked into corners that are easily overrun by even early-rounds' weaker undead. If you're playing with pals, keeping these power cells chugging requires coordination. If zombies break them you'll not only have your progress reset, but you'll need to pay points to get it running once more, making it all-too easy for the zombies to outscale your starting we▨apons if you can't move through the map effectively enough.

If it sounds like I'm losing my mind over this, it's because I am. After last year's Modern Warfare 3, I'd resigned myself to accepting that Zombies had become a runaway train I didn't care to chase, too hopelessly big to recapture the simplicity that made it so popular in the first place. Playing Black Ops 6 suggests I may have written this hellhound out of the race too soon. Its choked map design and relatively straightforward undead (OK, one of them has a cannon) are a step toward the mode's simpler roots, and I'm itching to see how this evolves through future updates. For now, though, I'll be spending the weekend glutting myself on zed-popping – and if you'll excuse me, I think I can hear a Mystery Box calling my name.

Interact with the vault, and you’ll be teleported inside. A 40 second timer will start, during which you’ll be safe to use your Loot Keys and loot the safety deposit boxes scattered around you. To access the Black Ops 6 preload, you need to have either pre-ordered the game, or be subscribed to a specific tier of Game Pass, as it is not included in all of them at launch. If you are signed up to Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass then you'll have access, as will existing subscribers to the now closed off Xbox Game Pass for console. However, those signed up to Game Pass Standard will not get immediate access at launch, and Microsoft haven't confirmed when Black Ops 6 is coming to that tier, while it's unlikely that it will ever be added to the Game Pass Core curated catalogue.

For every time I've successfully dolphin-dived through enemy fire to capture a point, I've also flopped around corners and been riddled with bullets for my trouble. Slide and destroy 

Despite my obsession with diving and sliding, I've been very apprehensive of omnimovement. Partly because I don't trust mys𒁏elf to show some restraint, but largely because I struggle to keep up with Call of Duty when it gets too fast. I abandoned the series in favor of Battlefield when thrust jumps and jetpacks entered the equation, and didn't return until 2021's Vanguard. After spending a few days with Black Ops 6's beta, it's true that its pacing is lightning fast compared to last year's Modern Warfare 3 – not so much in time-to-kill, which seems only a little quicker than usual, but because of the breakneck pace everyone moves at. Yet rather than it being overwhelming, it's such a blast that I've spent the entire beta eagerly trying to perfect my movement. 

Yes, you can smoothly slide from cover to cover, shooting all the while, but actually making it work is another matter. That mobility comes with big tradeoffs – heavy aim penalties mean you'll struggle to hit any target that isn't in near-touching distance while sliding or diving, and trying to shoot while moving that quickly is a feat in itself. But when you manage to slide around a corner and gun down two opponents before they have a chance to look down, it feels phenome꧑nal. On the other side of things, shootouts are less predictable because whoever you're firing at can now throw themselves virtually anywhere. Even when I've tried to actively avoid flinging myself around as much, it's still much harder to hold a position or even stay alive for very long – the angles you're fighting from change very quickly, rewarding players that chase down kills and stay mobile over ones who prefer to hunker down and play reactively. 

It's as chaotic as it sounds, but part of that will be due to the new-ness of everything. Each map flows weirdly right now, as in tandem with players sliding around at blinding speeds, nobody really knows where they're going. It doesn't help that they're quite dense. Skylight, for example, is a rooftop apartment complete with vents and a panic room to crawl around in. It's a small map, but verticality and massive windows in nearly every room make it hard to predict where you'll be attacked from. My personal favorite map is Rewind, a '90s shopping plaza complete with a shiny vinyl-floored video rental store. Speaking of which: It's all SMGs right now. As it stands, the Jackal PDW is so far ahꦓead of the pack that it's barely a competition. That being said, the assault rifles on offer feel a million times better than the majority of Modern Warfare 3's snooze-a-thons. I'm even having a blast with the Marine SP shotgun, which is a breath of fresh air – I fell in love with Modern Warfare 2 (2022)'s punchy pump-actions, but the last year of MW3 has done them dirty. 

There are areas I don't dig as much. I'm still on the fence as to whether time-to-kill is too fast, and worry that sniping as a playstyle will be doomed if these dominant SMGs and hyper-mobile tactics prove to be an accurate glimpse into the future. Neither am I sold on the deliberately messy flow of each map, but that may be a bit more palatable if those we're yet to play offer a bit more variety. But as a whole, Black Ops 6 feels damn good to play. In fact, a little too good: after sli🅘pping and sliding to my heart's content, Modern Warfare 3 now feels too stiff in comparison. I'd love nothing more than to swoosh down the big chute on Rust like a big rusty waterslide, but rather than return to the last game, I'll probably play the ongoing beta to death then abstaဣin from all things Call of Duty until launch. I'm very keen to see how the full game shapes up – and if Black Ops 6 zombies lets us slide-tackle the undead, you'll have to pry me away from the floor come October.

There are a total of 🌳nine Black Ops 6 beta rewards up for grabs, so you can customize your profile to show everyone else that you were there squashing bugs right from the start. These are unlocked when you reach the following Player Level milestones during the beta:

Tꦍhere are three types oꦗf weapon camos, each with specialized challenges attached. Here's the simplest breakdown I can manage:

• Military camos - nine "linear" military camo styles, for a total of 27 per weapon across all three games, "usually" progressed through headshot milestones. Launchers, knives, and shotguns have their own challenge type. 
• Unique camos - after all nine military camos, take on two Unique challenges, per mode, for six total for each weapon. These can be completed in any order, and once finished, these camos "can be used with any other weapon" with nine complete military camos.
• Mastery camos - after finishing the military and unique lineup, take on four challenges for mastery camos – again, a total of 12 per weapon. "While we can’t reveal the unlock criteria yet, expect specific, and then general challenges incorporating unlocks across your weapon categories to unveil Mastery camos in all their unrivaled glory," Activision says. 

There's more good news for level requirement haters, too. "Players will no longer need to unlock each Weapon’s Optic 'Node' as part of the Weapon Leveling journey," Activision said. "Instead, players will have access to the Optic Attachment Category from Weapon Leve꧟l 1 and can immediately equip any of their favorite previously unlocked Class Optics when starting out with a🍸 new Weapon."
