Are single-player PC games dead?

MMO-type online persistence is set to become an increasingly important part of the design docs of big-budget PC games, the senior producer on Battlefield Heroe🃏s reckons.

"I think we're going to continue to see high-end packaged good games on the PC. But I think they're going to, as you say, ha༺ve an element of connectivit🃏y; they're going to have an element of persistence which you need to be connected online to do," EA's Ben Cousins told.

"...and they're going to b♐e, probably, more multiplayer focused," he added.

People think the PC is dying,ꦗ Cousins said, "but that's a crazy idea."

He we💙nt on to🔴 talk about how EA's Battlefield series in 'in the zone' in regard to this future.

"So I think that the Battlefield franchise is well placed, not only to continue in this more casual market, with Battlefield Heroes, but as we continue our more traditional line of Battlefield games, we're going to continue to do the same kind of game, and the same kind of service as wꦫe have done in the past."

So is the single-﷽player PC game as we know it dead? Say it ain't so!
