Ex-vampire slayer Sarah Michelle Gellar has revealed she remains passionate about making a movie based on American McGee's quirky, cult platform adventure Alice.

"It's a passion project of mine," said the🅠 Buffy star, who owns the film rights to the game.

"It's a story that I'd love to see. I'm fearful at this rate that I'm going to be the wicked Queen of Hearts because I'm go🌌ing to be too old to be Alice," s♍he joked.

Not quite as adept at playing games as✨ she is sla൩ying the undead, Gellar revealed she's finished American McGee's Alice but "had a lot of help".

"We got the rights to it," she continued, "and Universal wound up getting really excited an🎉d put a lot of money into it, and then it's the usual story🌌. There was a regime change."

But ܫdespite the ro༒ad blocks, she refuses to admit defeat.

"It's still my project, and I'm still working diligently. So to all those Alice fans, I'm not giving up. Because I believe there is such a beautiful, crazy, cool, twisted s꧑tory to be told there."
