Marvel's search for a director to replace Edgar Wright on looks set to continue, with Adam McKay having passed on the project.
The director had been in talks with the studio over the possibility of picking up the reins, but The Wrap now reports that said negotiations have broken down.
McKay himself took to Twitter ꦗto confirm his meeting with Marvel🧸, only to explain that scheduling difficulties would make the project unworkable for him.
And yes, m꧒et w/Marvel. Kirby & Lee r my Lennon Mccartney so it was awesome. But have other projects 𝓡I'm committed to. Not sure it can work.
It's back to the drawing board for the studio then, although Rawson Thurber and Ruben Fleischer are two more names thought to be on the Marvel hit-list…
